Where to stay in Upper West Side
Upper West Side hotels & accommodations

At the price this establishment charges, we arrived with low expectations; we chose for the location and were prepared to put up with the kind of facilities New York offers at these rates. Morningside Inn exceeded our expectations at every turn; for a start, the staff is friendly, informal, and tireless in ensuring you have a satisfactory stay. The room was well-equipp...

The West Side YMCA was exactly what I needed during my NYC visit! My single room was small but pleasant. It included a desk and chair, wifi, a comfortable bed, a window, a closet, an air conditioner/fan unit, and a small flatscreen TV. Housekeeping changed the sheets daily and provided a fresh towel every day or every other day. The bathrooms down the hall were general...

My friends and I stayed in the Hotel in November. I loved the hotel, the staff is friendly and veru helpful the manager is amazing, they let us leave our bags before the check in for $2. The room had a lot of space, the bed was good and very clean. The best part about this hotel besides all above is definitely the location, its super close to the Central Park (only 3...

150 bucks to stay in the Upper West Side, I cannot complain. I love the location - Central Park just a couple of blocks east, two short blocks to the 1 train, great bar that makes a knockout gin and tonic, really cosy entranceway, and the attached restaurant makes a thoroughly hooverable eggs Benedict. Staff, I found, were really helpful and friendly. My only gripe is ...

No hot water in showers or water pressure in showers was very aggravating for being on upper west side in USA (of all places you would expect HOT water and water pressure).. outlets near bed in the bedrooms did not work either. Those were the only cons. All else was terrific. Def would stay again!

This hotel is quite reasonable considering the nightly rates of other hotels in Manhattan. It has a great partnership with the Museum of Natural History, which is across the street. Guests can park in the Museum Parking Lot for $30 a night, which is not bad on the Upper West Side. You can't take the car in and out as the garage is not open 24 hours, but you don't re...

the hotel is situated in a nice part of the upper west side. it's very convenient and accessible. just beside it is a grocery and the subway is nearby. the hotel lobby is really spacious and has free wifi. the only concern is that the hotel is kind of old and some parts are under renovation. all this aside, this hotel is a good place to sleep in and relax. there's even...

This hotel has a charming lobby and helpful, friendly staff. Coming up from the 1 train at 103rd, the hotel is visible as you get to street level. There is a steep, narrow staircase to get to the lobby, but there was staff right there upon our arrival offering to help us with our bags. Our room was nothing fancy, but reasonably clean with clean linens, plenty of ho...

Everything was perfect! We stayed in Park Executive one bedroom suite. The view was amazing! The space is huge (bedroom, dining/living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms). It’s very quiet in the hotel. There is a good , restaurant in the hotel (Jean Gorge - 2* Michelin). The location is good if you want to walk in the park, visit the museums and have a shopping in 5th aven...

Our stay at the Belleclaire exceeded our expectations--great location on Upper West side and rooms were reasonably spacious for the price. I loved the wood floors in the rooms rather than carpet and hotel was still so quiet! Staff was attentive and the rooms were incredibly clean with the thickest bath towels I have ever seen in a hotel.

I searched and searched for hours for a hotel WITH a private bathroom less than $200 bucks. Central Park West seemed awesome, with close proximity to subway, central park, and restaurants. The first room we could not stand. Very bad energy. View of an apartment with naked kids running around. No room for our luggage if we wanted to walk around the bed. AND REEKED ...

The Belnord is conveniently located close to the ABCD lines and even closer to the 123. Despite being just a couple of blocks from Central Park, the hotel is very quiet at night. This was a great location for a 4-day stay in the city, with quick access to my family uptown and our off-Broadway show downtown. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to anyone planning a short ...

Assuming you are looking for the upper west side, this is a great location. Central Park is a few short blocks away and Amsterdam Ave has a mind boggling array of restaurants within walking distance. The subway is 1 block away but walking allows to take in the sights better. You could stay here for a year, eat a different restaurant every night and never walk more t...

Pros - safe location at upper west side with nearby shops and restaurants; room space is just enough typical of new york hotel rooms, with mini kitchen equipped with utensils so you can eat your meals at the comfort of your room, well lit room (most hotel rooms are dim) and with very comfortable bed you would want to sleep all night long; fast wi-fi connection; hassle ...

Close by 79th Street Subway (3 blocks), buses on Broadway in any direction - Famed Zabar's Deli on the corner 2 blocks up... All around good location on Westend Ave. in the upper mid range area of Manhattan. Good for a night or two... if you are a solo traveler, you can't go wrong - rooms are small but serviceable. Don't look for any luxury here...good wifi...

We booked the apartment with Sally Rodriguez who is super friendly and helpful. The Upper West Side location is really great, but apartment itself is kind of old. Kind of like staying in Europe. Shower pressure is good, but tiles and handles worn, etc. Comfortable beds and very clean. Definitely a good value for the fee and we would stay again.

My wife and I enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Given the market price in Manhattan, this was a really good option. It is in the Upper West, so if you have to take a cab from downtown, it would cost a fortune, but subway is a great alternative. Red line number 1 is just two block away (86 St.), and M86 is also a great ride crossing the Central Park to the Upper East. ...
