Home Away From Home!!!”
It was a great First TIME experience in Palawan not only for me but also for the rest of my family! We stayed in Puerto Princesa last 17-21st of November with the booking I made under Uyang BnB last 2nd quarter of this year which I chose after reading reviews and comments in other booking websites too. Lucky that I made the decision to book Uyang because my Palawan trip is hassle-free and activity-filled. Didn't expect that after my booking at Agoda, the owner himself, Sir Alfred, sent me a message and confirmed how many of us will come and what activities we would like to do when we come to Palawan. I also availed their tour packages which is just nice especially if you are with your family and you just want everything to be planned out for your whole stay in Puerto Princesa. What made me do a review about Uyang is the personalized customer service that the owner offers to each and every guest that they have... They offered free airport transfer and also gave free rides to the town area and places where you want to go as long as you would give a heads up to Sir Alfred so he can arrange his schedule. Right now, I'm busy doing a video that I will post at Youtube (under The Itchy Feet Shutterbug) for our family's Palawan Escapade and I'm looking forward to bring my girlfriend and family again there soon to experience other stuff that Palawan still has to offer. Just want to give a shout out to the helpful staff of Uyang, Riza and Annie and the rest of Sir Alfred's family members. Thumbs up to you guys! See you in our future Palawan trips... All the best! :)

Comfortable Stay, Great Host, Went above and beyond”
I arrived in PPS airport a day late and the host, Alfred, accommodated to this very nicely. He kept in touch and picked me up at the airport when my flight landed. I explained to him that although I was by myself my two companions would be arriving the next day. The room he put us in was nice and spacious with comfortable beds. We had nothing planned for our stay in Palawan, so Alfred took initiative and helped me book everything down to the T. He was able to organize an amazing stay in Puerto Princesa, as well as get us up to El Nido for a 3 night stay. Alfred helped book our tours and accommodations through out our stay in Palawan and made the experience something we will never forget. I can highly suggest staying here at Uyang, because not only is it worth the price you will be paying for your room, you will get so many more benefits out of staying here.

Alfred makes everything easy breezy.”
Staying at Uyang Bed and Breakfast has truly made our Puerto Princesa trip memorable. The place is quiet and very clean, being a newly opened bed and breakfast late last year. But the best part of our stay at Uyang is being received warmly by the place's owner, Alfred, who made all our tour arrangements, got us from the airport, served us breakfast and free flowing coffee, and even bought the fruit we enjoyed to take home to Manila. We'd surely recommend staying there to anyone who wants a quiet respite from city life.

two thumbs up!!! :)”
our stay at uyang was great!! :) the place is clean and very comfortable, you can have a good rest after long and tiring day (we travel from coron to el nido to puerto princesa). helped us arrange our underground river tour and also become our tour guide in the city. for value of money, it's like you stayed for 5 star hotel with very cheap price! :) they also consider their guest's food preference, so no problem for vegetarians or for those who are health-conscious. they also serve good coffee! (you can always ask for refill! :) ) and yummy breakfast! alfred will make sure your stay in puerto princesa will be memorable! :)

Comfortable, delightful b&b at Puerto Princesa”
We enjoyed our stay at Uyang Bed and Breakfast. The owner, Alfred, went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, offering to pick us up at the airport and drop us off our other destinations whenever he was around. Our room was pleasant, spacious, and comfortable. We also loved the coffee and breakfast included in the room rate. A bit out of the way in a quiet residential area, the b&b is a pleasant choice for those who want a peaceful, atmospheric garden setting. There are currently four rooms only, so you get the place practically to yourself during your stay. Tip for travelers: it can get a bit tricky to commute via tricycle from the b&b at night if you’re going somewhere a bit far (we tried hailing at least three tricycles to go to Rene’s Saigon restaurant near the airport, which we understand is quite far, and we were turned down by all of them). It may be worth noting that Robinson’s mall is quite near (P20-P30 per trip).

Uyang means friend :-)”
Uyang was a great place for a brief stay in the city. It was away from the noise of the city but still near enough from everything else so it was very easy getting around. The owner Alfred was also very friendly and accommodating, and was helpful with suggestions for things to do and places to go in Puerto Princesa. He even assisted us in booking our day tour and getting arrangements for our trip out of the city. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Puerto Princesa.

Outstanding bed and breakfast”
Our night at Uyang was top notch. The house and yard is a beautiful oasis within Puerto Princessa. What makes Uyang stand out is the how amazing the owners are. They are so sweet and helpful. Alfred helped us arrange a good portion of our Palawan trip. Talking with him and his wife over breakfast was one of the highlights of our time on the island.

A warm welcome in a well designed place”
We were on out honeymoon, passing through to El Nido and the owners put a lot of effort in decorating our room with rose petals. This attention to detail also shows in this new family hotel: the motel-style rooms are well designed and built, some simple decorations ensure they are not "sterile", have a good bed, large tv, aircon, good bathroom, for a reasonable price. The owners Grace and Alfred personally welcomed us, gave good transportation and dinner advice. So even if it was just a one-night stay intended as a sleepover in Puerto Princesa, it was memorable. Hope the owners keep up this high standard!

Great B&B in Puerto Princesa”
We stay at Uyang B&B just for one night but it was quite enough to appreciate how beautiful it is and how kind and warm the staff is. The room is wide and full equiped. A really good place to stay if you're thinking visiting Puerto Princesa or even if it's a one-night stop in your journey.

5 day stay”
I chose Uyang because it looked very pretty in the pictures. Uyang is prettier in person. I stayed for 5 days for a conference. The owner met us on the first day to welcome us to the place. He even helped us book a tour. I asked if they knew any laundromats nearby to have my shirts ironed and he lent the iron board for free! when we stayed there we were the only guests so we just had to coordinate about having the gate be open or closed. There are dogs around but all of them are really friendly. The room itself is very spacious and beautiful. The water in the bathroom is a little weak but just fine. The location is pretty good for commuting even if it is not located on a main road, thus I would not recommend this place for people who have trouble walking. The road its on is also not finished so there's lots of mud to walk on. An upside to not being on the main road is that the place is so quiet and peaceful. They would text us also about room cleaning, and other things.

Nice surprise !”
Uyang is nicely tucked away from the noisy city activities which really helps in getting a good night sleeps. Depending on the destination its about 10-20 pesos per person to any where within the small Princesa city; just make sure you agree on a price BEFORE getting in the motorized-tricycle else you'll likely overpay. The friendly english speaking staff at Uyang will help you flag down a tricycle and explain to the driver of your destination. You can also negotiate with the driver to wait while you dine or shop. Overall I think Uyang offers excellent value for the money and is a great choice for anyone traveling on a budget or looking for an authentic experience.

Quiet retreat in PPS”
This is a true B&B, with only four rooms in the property. The owners themselves live in the fifth room, and have adopted a hands-on approach to caring for their guests. Everything is newly built, and it was open to the public at the start of 2014. The feeling is that of staying at a friend's weekend retreat, so everything here is going to be informal and friendly. The rooms are basic but tastefully furnished. There was a big bed, and two single beds in the room assigned to me, which was meant for maybe a couple and their two children to stay in, or maybe three/four mates on short vacation in PPS. If it is a quiet place you need for a few days, then Uyang B&B is just the thing. Just remember to book the rooms ahead of time (i.) it will fill up easily with just four rooms to sell and (ii.) it gives time for the owner to prepare to come by the airport to collect you and your mates. One last thing, the coffee here is very good.

Delightful stay”
Small and family run B&B, exactly what we were looking for, nice rooms, the guest receives high attention. Alfred, the owner makes this place awesome. I booked the tours in Puerto Princesa (underground river, firefly watching) through him, it was much easier like this, and I've got good prices either. We took a 4 night trip to El Nido also, Alfred arranged the whole thing for us, accomodation, van and tours, I highly recommend to book it like this, you'll save time and money.

Great stay as long as you don't take their tour”
I stayed in Uyang for 3 days and 2 nights. I recommend the tourists to have DIY tour since it gives you a lot of freedom. I participated in City tour which was recommended by the BnB owner. However, it was quite pricey compared to DIY tour. Owner also offered the transportation going to Sta.Lourdes Wharf where you can rent a boat going to Honda Bay. The price was 700 pesos.(if you rent a tricycle for the same transportation, it will cost 400 to 500 pesos. Owner's ride was by a car so more convenient) But the problem with the transportation offered by the owner is that he is not a type of person who can be very punctual since he has his own family to take care of. He told us that he will pick us up at 330PM but he came after 5PM. He also offered the Fire fly watching tour package which includes dinner at 2,400 pesos. but again, the fire fly park was closed when we went there with him. We asked for airport transportation service before check-in, and he wasn't able to come to pick us up from the BnB on time again becoz he was very busy on that day. So we just decided to go to the airport on our own and arrived after the check-in counter was closed. As long as you don't take any tour package or transportation offered by Uyang BnB, it will give you the best and comfortable stay in Puerto Princesa. The owner is very friendly and kind. It's just that he is too busy to be punctual for his package tour. These are my last tips. 1. There is no hot water so expect to have cold shower.(it's not that bad though) 2. it takes 15-20 minutes to go to the main street(Rizal Avenue) from Uyang. 3. The breakfast is not gonna meet your expectation but they offer Coffee anytime you want. 4. There are one huge dog, two small dogs, two or three cats and lots of chicken going around your table when you have breakfast. (And dogs licked my leg and hands constantly. We were ok with that since we are animal lovers but i am just informing so other guests won't be so shocked they get licked)

A relaxing place with a very accomodating staff. We really appreciated that Alfred took the time to sit down with us on arrival and give us some tips about puerto princesa. There's no hot water but doesn't matter so much. The wifi is great👍🏼

Quiet and peaceful place in Puerto Princesa ”
Nice guesthouse in Puerto Princesa. Not "downtown" so you have to pay 30-50 pesos to get there. Alfred really cares about the customer and helped me with his advice. Just the hammocks and a beer for the evening is missing 😉
