Central location, reasonably priced”

Location, cleanliness

The hotel is located on the main street in Vang Vieng. Reasonably priced (we paid 60k kip for a double room). There is the general lao/Thai food available, plus sandwiches and western foods. Only downside is the re-runs of Friends on the TV all day although that seems hard to avoid in VV.

Just a quick stop to go tubing”

Honestly just stopped in Vang Vieng to go tubing down the Mekong so expectations weren't that high. Location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and 2 blocks from the tube rental. Staff isn't overly helpful but not rude either. Wifi was in and out but such is life. Facilities were fine just no towels in the room, not a problem we carry our own. For the price I would recommend.

Didn't respect our booking”

They let us crash on the hotel restaurant chairs, nothing else really.

It is fair to say that we got to Vang Vieng somewhat late, but still they didn't respect our booking and rent our room away. Vang Vieng was packed due to national holiday and we couldn't find anywhere else to stay. They lets us sleep in the restaurant chairs that some sort of oriental sofa, but they were not clean. Next morning the woman at the front desk didn't speak English and her terrible attitude towards us forced to find somewhere else instead of waiting for the first check out. People at the hotel said the rooms were fine.

Great location for a good price”

The guesthouse is nicely situated in one of the main streets. They serve food and drinks, but so does every other place in Vang Vieng. They have a booking agency which is really nice and cheaper than the rest. Overall great stay, but don't expect to much of the room. You get what you pay for.

Ok place to stay”

It was a pretty basic place with large rooms though. we ended up staying there for about a month. It is the best deal one can get especially in that area. staff were ok. Found the restaurant a bit pricey compared to the places that were a stone throw away from the Guest House.

Worth the money”

Although we just stayed for 2 nights at twin fan room, but we feel satisfy of it: the room was huge enough, shower was good and the staff was kind and helpful, don't forget the downstairs restaurant, they provide good food with reasonable price. Walk in price is 60,000kip for 2 person fan room.

Perfect”

Location, value for money

Location was great, right in the city centre, yet quiet even on s fri and sat night. Cheap large room, hot shower, working fan, no aircon but fan worked well, comfy bed, slept better than in a long time. Food downstairs while watching endless friends was lovely. You could find a bit cheaper elsewhere but we liked it a lot! Staff could be friendlier but thats no news. They wont clean your room unless you ask them to but again, nothing new there.

cheap, clean, in the middle of town, no frills”

watching friends in the lobby, price, location

Initially they gave us a dirty room I talked to them and they moved us. We had two double beds with fans for about $9 us a night. The fan was fine I slept very well. Some noise outside the first night nothing ear plugs can't take care of. The second room was clean, no complaints. They have friends constantly playing in their lobby. You can chill out there and get reasonably priced food that seemed good quality. Its a small town and this hostel is in the middle. We booked a hot air ballon ride $80 and bus to luang prabang through them. The hot air ballon ride was really late. We almost missed our bus. So give yourself an extra couple hours if you make plans.

We had a decent stay here. Breakfast and Wi-Fi pretty good for a hostel. Bed not comfy but you can expect that for a hostel/price. Really good location- go down the food alley at the night market and pay 15,000 for buffet- decent portion and really good food!

The worst stay in my life”

The parking was in a drive-through to the back of the house and I had to move all bicycles, parked there for renting out, myself. The room (A9) was a perfect dump, no towel, no soap and no toilet paper. The door would not lock properly until I fixed it myself with my army knife and giggling tipsy guests in other rooms had a party until 3am when I went out and told them to at least close the doors. They followed suit and slammed doors; no hotel staff around to step in. Arguably cheap but in Thailand you get a decent room with basic amenities. Will not be back - for sure!
