Still nice breakfast and good service. The other good thing was that we could bring our car to close to our rooms.

Very convenience for us because it's closed to crab market and staffs there are friendly and supportive.

Standing tall at about 200 meters above sea level, Vanna Hill Resort boasts a beautiful background of the majestic Kep National Park, a welcoming place from the tropical heat since the colonial days. Whether from Cambodia or international, Vanna Hill Resort is an ideal retreat for holidaymakers and business travelers alike. Featured as a bungalow-styled resort, the hotel offers local Khmer and Western set-up with 20 elegantly designed rooms allowing you to capture the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand, spectacular Bokor Mountain highland landscapes, and Phu Quoc Island of Vietnam. Best place to stay in Kep”
I would recommend Vanna Hill to anyone staying in Kep. It is the perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of the crab shacks and vendors near the beach, but still walking distance down to food on the water. The view from up on the hill is unbeatable, with sea and island views from the pool area, restaurant, and most rooms. Speaking of the pool, it is absolutely unreal. The staff are amazing and will call you transit if needed, they even let me check out an hour late without charging me. My room included breakfast, with was delicious and had a variety of choices including fruit, yogurt, muesli, bacon and eggs as well as traditional Khmer breakfast options. Can't say enough good things about this resort!
Resort with great sea view and big clean pool”
We stayed three nights at Vanna Hill and enjoyed every single day in this resort. The refreshing, very clean swimmingpool, the wonderful garden on the hill of the national park, the great view from up there over Kep and over the sea with fantastic sunset views. Good cocktails, very friendly, professional staff and cozy bungalows. This is our address in Kep for next time as well.
Wonderful hotel on the hill”
I tend to stick with places that I like because of the proven value they offer. Vanna Hill in Kep, Cambodia is one of them. At a very affordable price you get a wonderful pool, great view over the sea (great sunsets!) and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant caters to you all around the day. When the place used to have a french manager, the breakfasts were to die for: fresh croissants, coffee, omelette, baked breakfast potatoes! I hope they bring this back someday! Bungalow/houses are nice, clean and comfortable. All you may need! The highlights of this hotel is the pool and the views! Highly recommended for a stay in Kep.
Lovely relaxing place ”
Our first impression was actually pretty bad because we called the hotel and wanted to get a quoting for a room. They said that the only had one double room available The resort itself is a $2 ride from the bus stop. Although not on the water the view from the resort which is on a hill was amazing. The beach is not the reason why you come to Kep anyway. It's a short walk to the Crab market which is the highlight of Kep. The pool is really nice and well kept after. The breakfast was great. We loved it for the price we paid but we wouldn't pay what they usually ask for. We left after one night because they wouldn't give us the same price for another night and even tried to ask which we thought was way to much for this place.
Oasis of calm...”
We would highly recommend Vanna Hill as a place to stay in Kep. It was so quiet and relaxed, with great food and a beautiful pool area. The villas are well spaced and well-equipped, the staff friendly and helpful. It's just a few minutes' walk down to the Crab Market and very close to the entrance to the National Park so the location was perfect for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Fantastic!! Pool and views amazing.”
This was one of my favourite places to stay in Cambodia. There isn't much to do in Kep so you can do nothing with little guilt and the Vanna Hill Resort is one of the best places to do nothing. The pool is large with nothing less than spectacular views - one way is the sea and the other is the mountains. The little 'villas' are very cute and set up above the pool. Mine had a hammock outside the front door and I made very good use of it too! The beds are comfortable and the air con is good, rooms are fine, if perhaps a little jaded but certainly nothing to worry about. The new owners are really lovely and friendly too. The only comment I would make is that perhaps the restaurant and drinks menu could be expanded a little.
I really love staying here. The pool is beautiful and over looks the ocean. It's quiet and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Lizards, bugs and chickens roam around. The rooms are simple, but really comfortable. New TVs have been installed and I think matresses have been replaced. Outdoor lighting was being upgraded while I was there. They are consistently making improvements. The new night restaurant manger is a great guy and really helpful with great English. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Vanna Hill is a best kept secret.
Really in rest and recuperation ”
I have to say I am impressed with the resort when I saw it but was disappointed when I was placed at the last room at the top of the hill not facing the horizon by the other rooms window and since I am the only guest I asked to be moved to a room with balcony (like in the picture) with a view of the sea and the sunset. With much hesitation, I got what I wanted. The room location was just perfect! But the staffs will need more training in "hospitality" especially for travelers coming in via public transport - tuktuk or motodup from Kampot which was my case. No proper reception and they seem to be lost and to think I am the only guest. All the staffs are very young, maybe working in the resort was their first job, so they have opportunity to get better. The management should invest in them. Overall they are very accommodating - booked my return bus, agree to have my massage in my balcony instead of the pool (was very tired to move beyond my room!) and assigned me with a very nice, polite tuktuk driver who went beyond his duty to make my tour around Kep interesting. Will I stay here again? definitely and would recommend to friends.
Vanna hill is a great place. It lies right beside the national park, and both the crab market and the beach is within walking distance, and the sailing club, not to forget, where you can see the really special sunset and zip a nicely done drink. The staff at Vanna hill is some of the most friendliest, smiling and warm khmer people I´ve met. The only negative thing I would add, is that the bathrooms needs a little repair/touch-up - looks really used.
Great service, friendly staff”
We had a wonderful 4 days at Vanna Hill. The location provides great views over the ocean and it is not far from the crab market and restaurants. The resort has a great pool. The meals at the restaurant were excellent, good home cooked food. They were all excellent and made our stay very enjoyable.
Beautiful budget resort”
Vanna Hill Resort was a great 'treat' away from the backpacker scene, and felt a lot more pricey than it actually was. I had a double fan room and was pleasantly surprised to find I had a balcony with ocean views. The pool was also a welcome retreat from the warm weather. Overall, loved it and would go back again.
Great hotel in quiet part of Cambodia”
The Vanna Hotel is a superb stay in Kep. An amazing pool with views out to the ocean. Very close to the legendary Crab Markets- which are so tasty. And wondrous sunsets at the Sailing Club. The staff and manager at the Vanna make everything smooth and simple. Recommend Highly.
Just got back from a 4 night stay at Vanna Hill. It was really enjoyable - the hotel is right by the national park on a hillside so great location, and was really quiet and chilled atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was really good. There was also an adorable puppy called Hehe who was very playful! I would definitely recommend staying here, and would stay here again. Only minus for me would be that there wasnt a safe in the room.
Love it - fav in Kep”
Love Vanna Hill - I have stayed here many times and it is my fav in Kep. Great value, great staff, great pool, awesome sunset. Can't wait to get back!
Cheap and cheerful”
This hotel is located at the top of the hill overlooking Kep Beach. Float in the pool all day and watch the ocean in the distance. Normally kids do not stay here. Not really a kid friendly place. Walk the hill up to the National Park or down the hill to Kep Beach. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Arranged massages by the pool. They have a small menu of Khmer and Western dishes. Rooms are comfortable with Khmer wet bathrooms. Air conditioning is cold and TV had variety of channels. Beds a VERY hard. If you like soft and fluffy this isn’t your place.
Retreat in Kep”
This is a great resort not far from the crab market in Kep. The location is great and because you're up on the hill the view is beautiful. The pool was really nice and a welcome respite from the heat. The rooms are clean and very nicely laid out. There did seem to be some construction going on so the showers by the pool didn't work and there was a poolside bar there that was unused. Breakfast was a buffet with made to order omelette sand eggs which were delicious! Overall a great stay.
We stayed here on our honeymoon for two nights and we were the only guests! We felt blessed as they upgraded us to a superior room in a little chalet on the hillside. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Love the veranda with a hammock and a great view of the sunset and ocean. Had the whole pool to ourselves and the water was very clean. Very well maintained. If you love some peace and quiet Vanna is the place for you. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would love to stay here again as the location is perfect as it s walking distance to the Crab Market and also to the little town. The only setback is the little gravel road leading to the hotel is not lighted up at night and can be quite scary. Couldn't find any convenient stores and looking for food at night can be quite hard if you are not a seafood lover. The hotel is also a little stingy with their complimentary coffee and tea. Overall it s a perfect place to stay in Kep.
Nice, peaceful place, lovely view”
I had a great stay at Vanna Hill! I loved the big pool with an ocean view, the balconies with hammocks, and comfortable room. A good mix of people there--some families, some couples, and some solo travelers. It is in walking distance to the national park and hiking, as well as the crab market and other restaurants. Friendly staff. Totally recommend it.
Amazing tranquil location. ”
Lovely stay. The resort is set set in beautiful gardens on the hill side, with views over kep Bay. The cabins are set out cleverly so it feels like you are the only people there. Room was fine - clean, comfortable, if a little small with a basic bathroom. Loved hanging in the hammock on the terrace, listening to the sounds of the forest behind us. The pool was Amazing. Massive, and with brilliant views. The staff were fine, but not around much, giving you a bit of an eerie feeling that you are the only ones in the resort. Breakfast was a bit bizarre, but ok. The crab market is a 10 minute walk down the road and over the roundabout, and the start to the national park walk is just up the hill from the hotel. Good location. Would return for a relaxing break.
The Vanna Hill was a wonderful experience. The room was confortable, the view and pool amazing! They have good food also and the staff is very helpuf and friendly (as usual in Cambodia). We definitely hope to come back again
