Great swimming pool”
Nice bungalows set amongst lush gardens at the foot of the hill. The big plus is the swimming pool which is great. Staff are helpful, budget bungalows are a bit small and no fridge, if I stayed again I'd go for the superior bungalows. Breakfast was ok.
Cheap and cheerful”
This hotel is located at the top of the hill overlooking Kep Beach. Float in the pool all day and watch the ocean in the distance. Normally kids do not stay here. Not really a kid friendly place. Walk the hill up to the National Park or down the hill to Kep Beach. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Arranged massages by the pool. They have a small menu of Khmer and Western dishes. Rooms are comfortable with Khmer wet bathrooms. Air conditioning is cold and TV had variety of channels. Beds a VERY hard. If you like soft and fluffy this isn’t your place.
Wonderful hotel on the hill”
I tend to stick with places that I like because of the proven value they offer. Vanna Hill in Kep, Cambodia is one of them. At a very affordable price you get a wonderful pool, great view over the sea (great sunsets!) and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant caters to you all around the day. When the place used to have a french manager, the breakfasts were to die for: fresh croissants, coffee, omelette, baked breakfast potatoes! I hope they bring this back someday! Bungalow/houses are nice, clean and comfortable. All you may need! The highlights of this hotel is the pool and the views! Highly recommended for a stay in Kep.
I really love staying here. The pool is beautiful and over looks the ocean. It's quiet and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Lizards, bugs and chickens roam around. The rooms are simple, but really comfortable. New TVs have been installed and I think matresses have been replaced. Outdoor lighting was being upgraded while I was there. They are consistently making improvements. The new night restaurant manger is a great guy and really helpful with great English. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Vanna Hill is a best kept secret.
Oasis of calm...”
We would highly recommend Vanna Hill as a place to stay in Kep. It was so quiet and relaxed, with great food and a beautiful pool area. The villas are well spaced and well-equipped, the staff friendly and helpful. It's just a few minutes' walk down to the Crab Market and very close to the entrance to the National Park so the location was perfect for us. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Great Kep retreat, quiet, close to the beach”
We had a great stay at Vanna Hill with our small family. The rooms are quiet and functional. Set in the garden with an awesome newly renovated pool offering a wonderful view of the ocean. For motos or tuk tuks just ask the front desk.
Vanna is a great place to stay. The bungalow was clean and spacious. We had an amazing view of the ocean and the pool was nice. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time because there aren't any signs on the road so follow the signs for Veranda. Also, the reception area looks run down, but the grounds, bungalows and pools are really beautiful, just hidden from the reception area. It is great value for your money.
Peaceful and relaxing”
Staff are attentive and polite. Very relaxed and professional atmosphere. Swimming pool is fantastic. Absolutely everything is perfect, except that the food is somewhat overpriced for what you get. But I will stay here again. Amazing staff and management.
Relax, Swim and Eat”
I wanted some R&R away from Phnom Penh. This hotel had everything I was looking for, a pool and good restaurant and somewhere close to the centre of town. You can hire a scooter for $7 a day or a tuk tuk to take you out to the pepper fields for about $15. I found the tuk tuks very expensive compared to other areas of Asia. It's about a 10min walk of you can endure the heat to the crab market. There is plenty of wildlife around and in the hotel. Don't stay here if you're afraid of lizards, I think it will be hard to find anywhere that doesn't have the odd gekko, but this place had amazing color lizards.
An elegant hotel”
this is a lovely hotel, well situated on a hillside looking across all of kep and the coast below... it has a beautiful and large pool, and a fantastic restaurant. the food is expertly prepared. no tvs or phones in the room, and they weren't missed for a second. the staff was extremely gracious and helpful.
Nice resort on a hill”
Everything is fine. No tuck tucks at the hotel
Lovely villa right in front of Kep national park”
The villa was nice with mountain views . The staff was sweet and I specially enjoyed the pool. However the shower isn’t working that well all the time.
Stay away from here”
Not much of a resort. Nice pool but that is it. Food is mediocre, had problems with water supply. Hot water in shower runs out quickly. Toilet started leaking. Way over priced. Only good thing about location is that it is within walking distance of the National Park
Best place to stay in Kep”
I would recommend Vanna Hill to anyone staying in Kep. It is the perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of the crab shacks and vendors near the beach, but still walking distance down to food on the water. The view from up on the hill is unbeatable, with sea and island views from the pool area, restaurant, and most rooms. Speaking of the pool, it is absolutely unreal. The staff are amazing and will call you transit if needed, they even let me check out an hour late without charging me. My room included breakfast, with was delicious and had a variety of choices including fruit, yogurt, muesli, bacon and eggs as well as traditional Khmer breakfast options. Can't say enough good things about this resort!
Nice, but bit run down”
Stayed here before. Still nice location and beautiful garden. Great views from our balcony. Although we still think it is nice we felt there is a lack of maintenance at the site. Unfortunately was the buffet not available, but that was understandable with the number of guests at the time. Still nice breakfast and good service. The other good thing was that we could bring our car to close to our rooms. One thing to watch for is the entrance of the bathroom. Here it is easy to hit your head to the doorpost if you're above 1,75 cm
Great pool, great location. Not great value for money.”
This place has an air of decay and deterioration. Sad - it used to be The Best place to stay in Kep! Now the prices are high, they breakfast is disappointing. The pool is still the best part of this hotel.
There are so much things to say on this establishment first of all L reception, after having to test many places in Cambodia I can tell you that I was never accommodated as well, the propietaire Thomas is more adorable an so nice accessible and obliging it did everything so that my stay occurs as well as possible, preparation of the breakfast the last day to be able to eat in the bus, arrangement at the best prices for the excursions or the tuktuk come to seek you with the hotel ... The swimming pool and jaccuzi are so big and clean. .. room are very nice and clean staff very smiling very professional it was a pure happiness! Then the site located on the hills at 200 meters of the national park it offers a sight beautiful garden maintained very well one has really the feeling to be in the middle of the forest, and only at 5 minutes on foot of the crab market to go to taste this famous crab with the pepper of kampot! Their restaurant is also very good very fine! The Best place to stay
Warmly welcomed ”
Really friendly owner and great staff. I really felt welcomed there and that I could relax and enjoy from the place as I wanted Thanks again Tomas and continue doing such a great job taking care of this resort :-)
We stayed here on our honeymoon for two nights and we were the only guests! We felt blessed as they upgraded us to a superior room in a little chalet on the hillside. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Love the veranda with a hammock and a great view of the sunset and ocean. Had the whole pool to ourselves and the water was very clean. Very well maintained. If you love some peace and quiet Vanna is the place for you. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would love to stay here again as the location is perfect as it s walking distance to the Crab Market and also to the little town. The only setback is the little gravel road leading to the hotel is not lighted up at night and can be quite scary. Couldn't find any convenient stores and looking for food at night can be quite hard if you are not a seafood lover. The hotel is also a little stingy with their complimentary coffee and tea. Overall it s a perfect place to stay in Kep.
Mostly lovely but a bit of a mixed bag”
Beautiful gardens and absolutely stunning, incredibly clean pool, and a great location to explore Kep. The staff were also great and very friendly. Our stay was a bit let down by our room, which was in need of a re-vamp (eg holes in bathroom tiles where i think an old shower fixture was - though the new shower was not much better). Overall the food wasn't bad at all - though I'd avoid the burger, which was in an oversized, very dry bun, had about 6 small separate lumps of minced beef instead of a single patty, and came without fries for $9. We did mention it to the manager though and he said they would look into changing it. One last thing which was disappointing was that I knocked over 2 glasses on our verandah. I simply put them down on the floor and they toppled over because of the gaps in the wood floor boards. Both just fell over sideways onto wood but smashed easily - we cleared up and apologised but we were surprised to be presented with a bill for $6 for the glasses at the end of our stay. Fair enough if we'd deliberately damaged the room or something, but they broke so easily after an incredibly minor accident, and it left us with a bit of a bad impression. Having said all of that, we would probably return as overall it was a peaceful place in beautiful surroundings.
