Exceptional”
We enjoyed staying here - the location of the hotel is quite central and along the river near the mountains which is very nice. The breakfast was decent, but was not diverse enough for us as vegetarians. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable - the only downside was that we had many mosquitos in our room which made it difficult to sleep well. The pool is great and very refreshing given the heat we encountered in the month of April.

The hotel is slightly dated but the rooms were big enough and had a balcony. There are fantastic views from the pool area and the reception. There are better places to stay in the area but the price was ok and it suited the purpose.

Good value ”
I booked because this hotel had a swimming pool and was in a great location, I was not disappointed. The room had a lovely view of the river and mountains, had a nice size balcony. The room was large as was the bathroom. Now the negative, staff could not speak much English, on there mobiles instead of working especially at breakfast. Breakfast was included but was not great, not much of anything it was like they just had a rush before as there just was not much there. Again staff miserable. Room only cleaned 4 times during our week there, broken toilet seat which I reported when I arrived was still broken when I left, having said all that, i would be back, just wont have breakfast.

Pros. Great location on the river. Middle of town. Spacious rooms with balcony, fantastic views. Lovely swimming pool to relax. Best water pressure in Laos ! Cons. Needs a little refurbishment here & there

✅View from room was amazing ✅A/C working was so great ✅Many Facilities in the room ❌Housekeeper didn’t cleaned my room at all. We stay 3 nights they didn’t even knock to ask if we need anything or leave any new towels, tissue and drinking. We used old towels over 3 days. ❌The bathroom was very awful because water came out from 2 hole of the showers was hard to shower everyday. Hotel knew this but didn’t want to fix! ❌Hotel only accepted cash and said they haven’t paid for extend the card payment machine!

Totally reasonable stay”
Great location. Ok amenities. The room was clean but the bathroom was a bit run down. The front desk staff were inattentive - often on their phones. But they did help us arrange transport to Vientiane. Overall, very reasonable for the price.

Location and view are 5* but unfortunately, all other services are low-end. - Room service: 1.5* (room cleaning only upon request) - Cleanliness: 1* (stained towels, dusty floor & furniture, spiderwebs everywhere, mouse poop, etc.) - Breakfast: zero (3-4 types of dishes, egg preparation is quite slow and need to stay there otherwise other will queue jump and you won't get yours, etc.)

A great place to stay in Vang Vieng as there aren't too many of the same kind. Staff doesn't go out of there where to be helpful but the location, view and pool more than make up for it!! Would definitely return!

Everything was OK. One of the best place to stay if cleanness and hotel type accommodation is required (Vang Vieng doesn't have so many hotels/comfortable stay close to everything due to fact it's full of budget travellers and guest houses)

Good value for money”
It was otherwise ok but the electricity was off from 7am until 5m every working day due to power line maintenance Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng. Actually this concerned the whole town but somebody should have mentioned this somewhere. This has been going on about one year now.

Fantastic view but a few areas of improvement”
The hotel is clearly the most impressive in Vang Vieng (from a limited selection)... but it really has fallen into disrepair. A big positive for them was that when we checked in they realised our air con wasn't working and moved us to another room without us having to say anything. However I wasn't impressed by the front of house staff who were fairly pushy and tried to massively over charge us for a car service from VV to Vientiane... by 50% over what we eventually paid going through someone else! There were other minor aspects that were a bit off - menus just had huge chunks whited out... why not just print another one?

Try somewhere else”
Vansana is situated right along the river and mountain, but also right opposite the other side bungalows which blasts music all day. If you want to lounge in your room or balcony and enjoy the tranquility, this place is not for you. Staff are not the most hospitable. Not particularly responsive when you arrive for check in, when you approach the reception counter for queries - not sure if it was due to their limited command of English. Phone in the room does not work. Room is nice and spacious though a little dated. Aircon is loud when turned on. They provide all the essentials, soap, shampoo, slippers for the room, hairdryer, coffee/tea, boiler, a mini bar, bottled water, towels, the works. Same daily breakfast spread is cold and sad, with minimal choices and again an unresponsive staff at the egg station more focused on being at the station (chatting with the chefs/back facing the room) than actually interacting with guests or taking egg requests.

Great pool and view but room and service average”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel due to the pool and lounge chairs by the river. The bar service was also good. We found the service at the front desk a bit hit and miss and to be honest the room was very basic for what we paid, as was the breakfast. However all said and done I would stay here again for the views and pool and the little piece of paradise that was the riverside in Vang Veng.

Not satisfied at all”
views and location are the only two I liked about this hotel. Room had a wall covered with mold. a lot of bugs=a lot of lizards. air conditioner kept breaking down; we stayed for 2 nights and it worked only for like 1 hour, and they refused to change our room. The staffs didnt know anything about service. there's a swimming pool in the hotel, but who goes to swimming pool in vang viane!?? even more, there was a construction going on which made the stay horrible during the day time. i would never stay here if i go back to vang viane. i would pay a bit more and stay in other hotels. if you are young and only care about activities and partying, you may stay here but there are other guest houses that have better locations with cheaper price.

The hotel is centrally located - right on the riverfront. The view from the room was spectacular and the room spacious and clean. The breakfast is good with a range of Lao/Thai and Western options overlooking the river. On the downside, there were no maps available at reception, no bikes available for rent, the buses back to Vientiene were more expensive than with travel agents and the staff had little to no English. Tours and buses are available elsewhere so it would not put me off returning.

Awful hotel, not clean and noisy”
This hotel is quite pricey for the quality. The floors and carpets in our room were dirty. The floor in the breakfast area was dirty and wet. The pool is pretty but there are always screaming children running around so it is not very relaxing. The breakfast was greasy eggs with rolls. At night the hotel is very noisy. The second night we were there we could not sleep because there was a party outside with people yelling into microphones until 1 in the morning. Bottom line is there are a lot of nicer places to stay in Vang Vieng that are actually cheaper. I don't know how this place stays in business.
