The hotel located down the road but there is a bus stop to get down and walk a little bit to the hotel. View might not be perfect if you not stay in Villa but decoration are good. Breakfast room has very nice view in the morning.

Vintage design hotel but not really convenience for tourist without own transportation”
Hotel design and view is good but please take note that this hotel is about 2.5-3km away from the main attraction of cingjing which is the swiss garden and the farm. Taxi would cost you around TWD 300 per trip to these attraction and availability is not guaranteed. walking back from attraction to hotel would take you around 45mins to 1 hours. you may take bus as well but need to be on time as there is only limited trip per day. Room is okay with smell of timber but soundproofing is not very good you might hear noises from other room including opening/closing the door.

I had no choice but to choose this stay as it was too last minute. And this was the best out of the others. It was an unpleasant experience because the electricity tripped while we were to check out, the lift was not working.. and we had to carry our heavy luggages up to the entrance as the rooms are located in the basement.

Beautiful Room”
Impressed with the outlook and room of Vanse, feels like I'm staying in an European castle. All the furniture fits in the theme. There are birds chipping outside the window. Stone bathtub is great and can accommodate 2 pax comfortably. You can see Old England manor while soaking, great night view. Hot water only available from 5pm to around midnight though. Stayed in room 601, high ceiling and the room may be new as it has the natural woody scent. Room is clean (I was worried because there are negative reviews on cleanliness). TV channels are good (both English and Mandarin movies), though there are around 6-8 times the power tripped during our stay. The backup power comes back very fast (within 1 sec) but the TV channels only restart after some time (sometimes within 5 mins, sometimes it takes about an hour). The view from the room balcony is nice but not impressive considering what Cingjing has to offer. You can easily find other minsu with nicer views. Staff are ok but not really helpful. Location is ok for Cingjing area. Not exactly convenient to get anywhere. There is a 7-11 nearby but you have to walk about 10mins via the narrow main road (the only road all cars use to get to Cingjing). Traffic can get heavy and there are no road shoulder/walking path. There are also no lights in the night. Can be dangerous, but most cars do slow down. Just be careful. It will take you about 20-30 mins to get to the main Cingjing area (Little Swiss garden) along this same road. Vanse does not provide any transport or shuttle service. Their breakfast and dinner time are very short and limited. Breakfast is from 8am to 9am, Dinner is from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. I didn't have any meals there, but heard that food is just ok.

Location and environment is good, hotel service is insufficient, staff is friendly, but due to too under manpower, there is only 5 staff for a 30+ rooms hotel. No indication that dinner have to Pre order when making room reservation, so we had to find our way for dinner after check in, no taxi due to high demand, we had to walk on narrow road shoulder searching for dinner. Breakfast is served 8am-9am, time is too short, in order not to miss breakfast, must plan well for the morning activities.

Nice surroundings but facility needs improvement”
Hotel is located a bit far from the tourist information center (about 10 to 15 mins walking). Not recommended if you are carrying heavy luggages and taking public transportation. I stayed on 1st floor. Basically, nothing much to see form the room window. The room cleanliness needs improvement. The blind in toilet was very dirty and made me feel uncomfortable.

Nice hotel in Cingjing”
This hotel is quite difficult to locate for a new visitor. It is located inside Shouting Lane. The rooms are located in basements. Breakfast is very basic and Taiwanese style. Lots of flies in the breakfast area. Parking is free for guests.Overall, it is a satisfactory stay.
