Satisfying and Worth the Money We Paid”
Our stay was just fantastic. The beds were comfortable and only in Venezia did we get proper sleep during our whole trip in Indonesia. The bathroom was spacious although the bathroom lock didn't work, that was a non-issue for us. What we really appreciated most though are the tours we booked from them - afternoon tour to Prambanan and whole day tour to Borobudur and Dieng Plateau. The driver for the Prambanan tour was courteous, friendly and have good communication skills. The person who drove us around for Borobudur and Dieng Plateau was, I believe, one of the owners of the homestay and he seemed like a very intelligent and friendly person. He was surely knowledgeable of the area and even went out of his way to make sure we make the most out of our 2 days in Yogyakarta. Though not included in the tour package, he took us to a local eatery upon request since we wanted to eat in a cheap place run by a local. He also took us to a local grocery store where we found excellent but cheap Indonesian tea and coffee to bring home. He also directed us to the nearby Monggo chocolate store and there we found super delicious hand-made Indonesian chocolates that were a hit in my office. Since we've accumulated quite a lot of souvenirs, he also gave us a box and a roll of tape so we could pack everything properly. In short, we were really pampered. Venezia Homestay is located in a quiet neighborhood and is just around 30 minutes from the train station and airport considering traffic. It is also walking distance from attractions such as Taman Sari and Malioboro street (where great shopping bargains await). Venezia also has a small pool that can provide just the refreshing swim needed after a whole day of touring in the hot weather. In short, my friends and I definitely recommend Venezia Homestay when you are travelling to Yogyakarta!

Comfortable, chic and lovely”
I have to say that it was our stay at Venezia that made us want to come to Yogyakarta again. Mas Tono and The Always-smiling Dude (sorry we forgot to ask your name) were the perfect hosts. Beds are comfortable, hot shower is available and fried noodles or toast breakfast are just sumptous. After a tiring day, one could also have a dip in the cozy pool that they have. Our Yogyakarta trip has been made perfect.

Pleasant and warm”
My stay at Venezia Garden was very pleasant. Super fast checked in, i only have to drop off my details and they straight show me to my room. The staff was super friendly, they help arrange for my tour and transport to any place i need to go. I got to meet many fellow traveller during my stay here. And the staff was available all the time, to guide me about yogya. Since i was travelling alone, it was pleasant that the hotel staff keep track of me. The room was super clean and spacious by my standard. Would definitely recommend this hotel to fellow traveller.

A valuable homestay”
I had spent all my 5 nights at Venezia Garden Homestay. This is a great place for any kind of travelers. Great facilities, friendly and very helpful staffs, good breakfast, and a great environment which is in their local living town where I can experience their local life. Although there's a bit distance from the tourism sites, but you can hire any of their local trishaw "becak" with cheap price to travel around. A definitely recommended homestay!

i was stay for three days two nights in Venezia Garden Hotel. its such a hommey,quite place to have a rest after you spend all day advetouring Jogja. if you get bored to see "high building" as you often see at the big city and all you want to do have a simple,nice and comfort place to take a rest, Venezia Garden Hotel is a right place for stay which is located near the heart of Jogjakarta with warm,clean and out of noisy environment.

I really enjoyed the stay at Venezia. Rooms are very nice, clean, the pool is enjoyable and staff always helpful. Only thing for improvement I think is a bit better availability of the staff - sometimes the hostel was a bit empty and it was hard to fin anyone resposible for it. Anyways, love Venezia, hope to come back

Lovely hostel”
I really enjoyed my stay there. The pool is lovely for a refreshing dip, the dorm was clean and had a good a/c, there's free tea and coffee all day, breakfast whenever you want it (if you want the pancake, it can take a bit longer to make, so take that into account), the staff is nice and not pushy at all. The location is quiet and so were the other guests in the dorm (except for when they forgot to wake up for an early tour... always entertaining!) I wanted to spend a few relaxing days in Jogja for the end of my trip and Venezia Garden Hotel is definitely the place for that.

Cozy and lots of green”
the staffs are friendly and helpful. i was given a room upstairs and when the staff saw my mom's immobility, he immediately cleared one of the rooms downstairs to make way to us.although the hotel is located in an alley but entering the hotel itself is a whole new experience. the interior uses the concept of nature. comfortable bed too. the most amazing part is the shower overlooking the sky. i highly recommend venezia and if i get to be back to yogya, i will choose venezia.

we have booked there dormitory beds in there and once we reach we found out there are no available beds. the owner has good enough to shift us to another place venezia homestay and upgraded our beds to a decent room which is good enough and comfortable. the location i think is fair to say good with lots of restaurants and attraction within walking distance

Feels like home with another new traveler”
I like staying in Venezia Guest House, its cheap for the dormitory and the nicest thing is I can have more friends, since i'm a solo traveler. The staffs were nice, you absolutely can make your self feels like home. The guest house is not really big,but simple pool and backyard living room makes it comfortable to stay long enough there.Moreover, the location is great, you can reach lots of restaurant, coffee shop, bar and market by walking. I spent about a week in Venezia, and I'm totally going to stay there when I'm back to Jogja.

Wonderfull stay at venezia garden hotel”
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. We had a very welcoming check-in and we could even order some late night dinner after arrival. Which was delicious. The personel is super friendly and helpful. We could book multiple tours for reasonable prices from here, even the night before (before 9 pm). Breakfast was also great. It was simple (toast, nasi goreng or banana pancakes) but great and you could order it whenever you felt like breakfast(breakfast time: from 7 am- unlimited). We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked great, just as the garden had a nice atmosphere where you could just sit back and relax. If you want to get your laundry done, you can get that done really cheap in the neighbourhood (45.000 for 6 kilos). The personnel gives directions to there. The wifi was available in the garden and in the room. Worked perfectly fine. We stayed in the superior room 4. Great room, not too big, your own bathroom, great air con, great bed. We read some reviews about the noise from the mosque, but it didn't bother us. You will hear that almost everywhere in the cities and it's a part of the culture. I felt sad to leave again after three nights, I felt right at home. Wonderful stay!

this is a small homestay just outside the centre of yogyakarta. clean rooms, not verry big but there is a nice place to sit outside in the garden and at the pool. Helpfull staff. I can recommend the massages.

Lovely hostel that makes you feel like family”
I had the greatest stay at Venezia Garden. It's a little way in from the main road, just a minute walk from the "tourists' quarter" of Prawirotaman. It's a great location if you would rather not run into fellow tourists right outside the door, but still want to stay within the vicinity for easy access to tour agency offices and restaurants. Having arrived at 7AM, we could not check in to our dorm right away, but the friendly staff kindly let us use all of the facilities such as the pool, lockers and bathrooms etc. The dorm was pretty dark, though, with only a tiny light on the ceiling that was hardly good enough for reading, however it encourages you to read and socialize in the communal area which is a lovely little terrace with a constant supply of local tidbits on the table. The only qualm I had about this hostel is the common bathroom that was shared among 8 people. The toilet, shower and sink are all in the same room, too, which means if someone's using the toilet nobody else can use the shower or brush their teeth. It would have been much better if they were separated. The staff were friendly and ready to talk to you anytime, but most of them seemed to speak very little English, but there was James who was fluent in English and also very helpful in providing information on tours and even organizing one for you. There are also 2 fluffy and friend cats on the premises, who will let you pet and carry them without much protest.

Wonderful place”
If you come to Yogyakarta you should definitely stay here! The dorm rooms are cool and comfy but the real gem of this place are the people that work there. They will be happy to give you advice on anything you need to know or how to make things cheaper for backpackers. It was the only place that I stayed in Java which had a great young and sociable vibe.

i must say it gets noisy when the occupancy increases..i can hear mummering from the common area n conversations from the pool side even when i clse my door. There should be a "no diving" sign as often when someone splashes into the pool..huge masses of water splashed and flooded the narrow walk path ..not much of peace n privacy from the ground level bunglow. However, i must comment on staff Tono who is very patient with me that night when the aircon malfunction in my room, he offered me to change room immediately and when i refused, he offered me a standing fan..i am truely touched. On the contrary, the younger male stuff wasnt that friendly, not sure if its because they cant speak English well but at least smile and greet your guest when they check in. Overall a pleasant first time experience at Venezia...

Budget Value Accomodation”
I suppose to stay for Superior En-Suite room but the host told me that my room has been taken. But i like the host on how to handle my situation. He give me a dormitory for free and refund my room that i had paid. So i decided to take his offer. Anyway i enjoy my stay for dormitory room as i seldom stay there as i went sightseeing whole day and came back just for overnight. They also provide listing of tours and i went to their Borobudur tour and it was pleasantly arranged by them. Their whole place is decorated with Javanese and I really like it.I did not know that that their dormitory bed also provide towel and linen as well ! Is a plus to me. I recommend to those who are budget tight and always go for sightseeing to stay here as i found out the only place that have dormitory bed in Prawirotaman area. Although location is a bit far from the Prawirotaman area but is within 5 minutes walking distance.

Nice, small and very friendly good situated hotel”
We found this hotel via the Agode site and got a good deal since it is a new hotel. The rooms are very nice (especially liked the showers) and the pool is very small. But we found that was no problem for our kids (11,9 and 7). We shared one 'cottage' and for our kids an extra mattress was put into the room upstairs.The staff is very friendly and and directed us around town. The hotel is conveniently located near Jalan Prawirotaman 1 which is the place to be for the average european! We therefore would recommend this hotel to families but also for professionals.

Great Friendly Homestay - Value for Money!”
I had a fantastic stay at this homestay. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and as a solo traveller, the friendly atmosphere the owners provide means it was easy to meet other travellers and feel at home. The room was fantastic value for money - very clean, towels provided, like a hotel (I was in a private room). Wish I'd have stayed longer! Thanks to the team there for a great stay.

Unlike long run hotels in Yogyakarta, this guest house is well maintained. Good locations for backpackers. There are good design cafes around and not bad to access sightseeing spots. The guest house offers small package to travel in Yogya. Plus super high speed wifi is big advantage.

Pleasant stay”
We liked the Venezia and would definitely go back. It's a small, pleasant and comfortable place for a reasonable price. The garden and open air sitting area are nice to hang out, there is a small pool - good enough to cool down after strolling or biking in the heat. It's centrally located, close to some good restaurants and walking distance from the Kraton.
