Pleasantly surprised”

Was a bit sceptical in the beginning when arriving but for the price could not get better. The staff were very helpful , laundry is cheap and the rooms were cleaned every day . Would recommend to stay here just take a room away from the street if you are a light sleeper, because there are bars just outside the hotel.

location, location, location”

We did not expect much, because the room rate was so low, but the guesthouse is located right at Chaweng beach. We were quite impressed though. It does not feel like a cheap Guesthouse at all. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. We arrived by car and there is plenty of parking space and that in the middle of busy Chaweng beach. The Guesthouse is set back from the main road about 100 meters, making it very nice and quiet at night. It is not a holiday resort for families I would say, but great for business travelers, young couples, etc. Definitely worth what we paid for.

Great hotel service”

holiday guesthouse was in a quiet street but close to all nightlife on chewing beach which was only a few minutes drive on a scooter. the staff were very friendly and helpful thorought our five night stay. 7/11 was only fifty meter away and also tesco lotus which was very convenient. i would recommend this hotel for someone who needs a cheap and comfortable stay near chewang beach

Cockroaches ”

Waste of money. Pets just roaming around in lobby and cockroaches in room. When asked for a refund the manager was no where to be found. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is really value for money even in high season. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Its abit offroad from the main beach road but not far and in walking distance to everything. Laundry service nearby, family mart nearby, and close to the local market if interested. A bit noisy at weekends or special events like new year or christmas as there is a bar below. Very good italian restuarant nearby. The senios receptions at daytime is super friendly and helpfull. Rest doesnt speak english is so useless.

value for money, tv no good, no in room wifi, but staff were very friendly and helpful especially the lady at the front desk called Tok, it is actually her friendliness and her informative attitude that allowed my to score the staff 5 star. Bob

Fantastic value”

Stayed in the area for an extended period, at 5 different places, and this is by far the best value out of any place I stayed at. Big rooms, great staff, away from the blaring night clubs, but a 1 or 2 minute scooter ride to the action.

This guesthouse is a gem. Large clean room, friendly staff, cheap price and comes with breakfast. Good location. It is far enough away from the actions, so it is quiet but you can still walk to everywhere. Great value.

It was very nice. The room was huge. The street was noisy, but if you had a room on the back you dont hear anything. Breakfast in front of your door. So you can have breakfast in bed. About 10 minutes from centre and 15 minutes from the beach. Really no problem. Easy to rent a motorbike to travel around the island.

A great property with large clean rooms, comfy beds, efficient housekeeping, and a great staff. All rooms are on the second floor and have balconies (either overlooking the street on the front, or the back yard). TV is not flatscreen, but has many English stations. In-room safe is inactive. They supply an electric kettle and a toaster. Instant coffee and tea is supplied. The breakfast, which is delivered to the room (left on the floor at 8am), has cereal with milk, juice, bread, jams, and bananas. Shower has curtain, but no barrier to prevent water from spreading to the whole bathroom. Shower hot water is fine. WiFi works very well. Aircon works well. Neighborhood has a few pubs and restaurants. There is an intenet cafe located a one-minute walk away. ATMs and an exchange desk are only a 5-minute walk away. The fantastic beach is also only a short walk away.

Comfortable, good value for money”

It was a nice place to stay, a bit far away from the beach and main tourist road but just a short walk down the road. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for a comfortable bed at a reasonable price and dont mind the short walk to the main area.

Comfortable and quiet”

We need a nice quiet place that was not to far from the airport because we did arrived late night. We did get cheap transport strait to our guesthouse and a clean, quality bed awaited us. We also had a nice hot shower and could take a good rest after a long trip. The next morning we had a plate with enough basic food to serve as a breakfast. Staff were friendly and served us in all our needs.

Large clean room but service lacking”

An average stay, room only done twice in four days, power was out for an entire day, staff friendly but unhelpful, wifi hardly ever worked. But location was good, room was huge, modern bathroom & kettle & toaster in the room was a real bonus. I've heard there are better places on Chaweng road with cheaper walk in rates if you are happy to 'wing it'

Very friendly staff, great location”

we loved our stay at holiday guesthouse & wish we'd spent a few more days there. it seemed like it might be kind of far from everything as its on the other side of the lake but it turned out be only a few minutes walk to the beach, walking street, lots of bars/restaurants. the rooms were very comfortable and clean & the staff very friendly & helpful. we had breakfast waiting on a platter outside our door each morning & it was a great way to have breakie. i would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to everything but get a nice quiet night's sleep.

Lovely hotel”

The hotel is an excellent place. There are lots of shops near the hotel and 7/11. Many nearby massage parlors so you can go and relax. The staff is friendly and very nice. They serve a great breakfast in the morning, bread, cornflakes, jam, milk, bananas, orange juice and pineapple juice. Just fun.

Really nice staff”

Really close to the middle of town and lots of bars and restaurants within walkin distance, breakfast was brought to ur room wit fruit cereal milk bread and scones very nice and perfect for starting of ur day. Really friendly reception ladyl helped us out with anything we asked and spoke very good english. Rooms are spacious and comfy neat beds with a large balcony overlooking the street, there area gets quite loud at night so not good for the light sleepers.

Friendly service and good location”

the staff was really friendly and offered to change our room to one with double bed instead of twin bed. the room had everything necessary, including a toaster for bread. we were surprised to find out that the "breakfast included" meant that every morning at 8.00 am. they brought a breakfast basket behind our door. the basket included bread, butter, jam, two different cereal, milk, juice, and two bananas. the hotel is located in quite peaceful spot in otherwise crowded area. nevertheless chaweng is very touristy and there are bars everywhere. the beach is very close to the hotel (less than 5 minutes by motorbike), but it doesn't compare to those in phuket and krabi. the hotel staff was very helpful when we needed to find our way around in samui.

Clean rooms, good amenities”

Staff were friendly, breakfast is delivered to the room, bananas cereal bread and jam, toaster in your room and DIY which I thought was convenient as there was no need to wake up early to make it down for breakfast. It started to rain shortly after we checked in and we soon discovered a few holes in the ceiling which were leaking quite badly. Staff had no problem in changing our room. The second room was fine. There is a good size balcony, ac, satellite tv (although a bit fuzzy), fridge, kettle toaster and the bed was comfortable. I would stay again.

Very basic hotel at a nice location”

the hotel left us with two-fold feelings: on one hand, rooms are clean and nice, location is very good (close to all action but quite at the same time), owner is a nice person, etc. the problem is it is not equipped to deal wit any sort of emergency-like situations: internet ap went down first day of our stay, it never got fixed even if promised (so no wi-fi in the room even while promised); when the whole samui electricity problem started, it seems everyone else switched to gas based generators, except us - so no lights, no a/c and no water for whole 4 days or so (imagine that!) the point is it is a nice hotel at affordable price - while things run smoothly - just don't expect anything to be fixed promptly, should it break... oh, there was also no safe in the room (or elsewhere) - which we were aware of - but still it would be easier to recommend it, should they have them
