I like this hotel a lot although the decoration is a bit classic, the location is quiet and good, you can find good food around easily

Not bad but average at best”
Metropark is a pretty old hotel and needs a bit of work. If you get a good deal, and it's close to your area of interest, it might be worth it with a breakfast buffet and swimming pool. But if you want new facilities and modern rooms, look elsewhere.

This Hotel has Lost its Edge”
This was once the best hotel for a foreign traveler in Beijing. I have been staying in this Hotel when in Beijing since 1999. Today, it seems a shadow of its former ability to provide quality customer service to the English speaking Guest. Every conversation was met with confusion, almost as though desk clerks, concierge other service personal did not realize that English was being spoken. Attitudes were as if the guest was a big problem. Most responses were filled with anger or so it seemed. It was a difficult stay this time, hard to get an answer or information that was usable. Getting help with anything was impossible. I had to call some friends to come over to the hotel and speak to the staff in Chinese. Even then the staff knowledge of the facility. My laundry held at the front desk with no notice to me for pick up and payment. When I asked about my laundry I was treated as though I was trying to steal something or avoid paying. Very insulting experience.

It is a little aged but all others are over my satisfactory. Clean, intact & convenient to office also with lots of high-end eateries round the corner; behind the hotel.

Dated but clean hotel...staff need some training”
Pro- 1) The hotel is 50 b from the airport and the same again from the city center so a good miway point 2)It's an old five star hotel converted to a three star, it's clean and we'll kept up 3) There are restaurants, bars, banks and shops just outside the hotel so it's pretty convenient Cons- 1) It's like the staff haven't been trained, not sure what was going on but no one seems to know anything when we had a question. Not a deal breaker just really frustrating 2) Outside of the room rate everything else is really expensive for what they charge 3) We had breakfast one morning of our stay, it wasn't bad but sure didn't have much of a selection. Looks it's not a bad place and the staff are friendly don't get me wrong. For a short in and out of Beijing l stay there everytime.

Hotel needs more English speaking staff. The staff I could speak to were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were good, internet was not reliable. I had to visit the hotel next door to get better reception for the internet.

between airport and just outside downtown”
This hotel is located just outside the 4th Ring Road, approx 70RMB taxi ride from the airport. Because it is not in the heart of downtown, taxis are easy to get in this neighborhood. The room was spacious. Wi-fi access required a code texted to a Chinese phone number, which was troublesome as I did not have a local SIM card.

The breakfast offered a varied menu with many well prepared options including a self service espresso machine. I appreciated their opening the cafe at 6 a.m. The room was cleaned daily.

Great hotel clean and has all we needed. Service was amazing just we needed a late checkout because we celebrate the Shabbath and they only gave us till 2pm so we had to check out early and leave our suitcases at the front till subndown...bummer.

Unpretentious ”
Simple . Easy . Middle class type of accommodation in a good location with proximity to coffee shops , restaurant and oldest expat community of Beijing.No real English speaking staff including at reception or on the phone.

Wonderful hotel in the center of Beijing”
This hotel was clean luxurious and the staff met all of my needs. I would recommend it to any business traveler. The hotel staff was friendly cooperative and easy to work with.

Not bad for business trip for one night”
Stayed one night, and it is not bad for business trip overall. However, there are so many tourists during my staying, so it is not quite easy to eat breakfast in the morning (NOT ENOUGH SEATS!!!).

Hotel near airport”
This hotel is just at the right location that avoids the jam on the airport expressway when leaving from the hotel. The room is old but still decent, without any foul smells. The swimming pool is a nice size and comes with a damp sauna and dry sauna in the changing room, which is a nice surprise for swimming in cool autumn water. There are enough shops within the hotel complex that makes it easy enough to get what you need without leaving the hotel and when you do leave the hotel, there are many nice restaurants not more than 10mins away by foot. A good western restaurant is the Eudora Station. There is a live band and a possibility to have a quieter dining area upstairs before coming to the ground floor to enjoy the live band after dinner. I will be coming back to this hotel again.

Old but still soldiering on”
This hotel was one of the first foreigner hotels in Beijing and it is now dwarfed by its sleeker and taller neighbours such as the Crowne Plaza and the spanking new Nuo. That said the location is perfect - equidistant from the international airport and the city and there are plenty of eateries and bars nearby. Eudora Station opposite is especially good. Clientele appear to be more locals and some tour groups - the foreign contract workers have now moved on. The offering is perfectly adequate and well run for a reasonable price. I would use it again.

The worst hotel experience I ever had ”
I arrived at hotel 2 am after 22 hours of flight. I was so tired and needed comfortable bed to sleep. During the check in, front desk girl said she is upgrading me to apartment, I politely declined.but then soon after I found out that I am walking into apartment complex which is 200m away from hotel building. I was carrying my suitcase and plus 2 smaller bags by myself and struggling up and down with stairs. No help from stuff even he saw me struggling with my luggage. I complained to him that I didn't want to go apartment complex. He didn't care at all and just said hotel is booked fully. Don't understand if they were fully booked why I get confirms reservation??? Finally got into apartment, it was old, beaten up apartment. Bed is the hardest hed I slept in ever. Also front desk girl gave me wrong wifi password and I was struggling to connect with wifi 30 plus mins. Tried to call front desk from room. Phone didn't work. Next morning complained to manager who seems didn't care much. I will say just stay away from this hotel.
