Hotel is in a great location just out of the main bars and shopping area of Chaweng Beach. We stayed on the hill side which was quiet. Room was big and comfortable. Very clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The pool on the hill side was quiet and refreshing. It was only a short walk to the beach side where the pool, restaurant and bar area are very good. A few steps to the beach with stunning views of the beach front. Would definitely stay again

The hotel is located near to the airport, less than 10 min drive. Breakfast area is just beside the beach, where you can enjoy the nice beach view. It is about 5 to 7 min drive to Chaweng town. If you prefer to walk, it will take about 40 min to an hour. Take songthaew - the cheapest public transport option at THB 50 per person. The staff is very friend and helpful, you will be well taken care of :)

Novotel samui is definitely a wonderful.property but it has pros and cons. Pros- wonderful staff, especially Ms.Ann was really helpful. All the requirements were met quickly. The pool was amazing where we stayed. Breakfast was good The rooms were spacious with balcony,huge washrooms. Cons-very less vegetarian food options Lots of mosquitoes,insects. Beach area was dirty. No door in washroom. And i really would like to ask, why have painted an elephant with zebra stripes? Lol. Its really funny. My trip was wonderful, all thanks to the nice and coirteous staff.

Quiet and not too far from shops and night life. ”
Stayed here for four nights in the cheaper garden side the hotel. Rooms are big but dated. Breakfast is average so you aren’t missing out. The swimming pool towards the beach end is good and clean. Note: if you are disabled or have very young children that require a wheelchair or pushchair than it isn’t very friends as lots of steps.

Worse Novotel ever”
We are group of families with young children and booked 3 of their family rooms. The air condition in that whole block didn’t work and we had to move at 10pm at night. The next day one the room’s bathroom was leaking and was once again asked to move rooms. Breakfast is very bad, everyday they serve the same thing. Its fine if they serve the same thing and it takes good but none of the food taste good at all.

Love this resort”
Love this resort stayed here over 10 times now. I would have given 5 stars but was disappointed in the breakfast Buffet. Normally it has a huge range of choices but due to renovations and not many people staying there it was quite limited. They would cook you eggs and pancakes. But the choices of fruit were only 2 which was the same every morning and they were always warm and only 2 choices of cereal. The staff are amazing and would go above and beyond to help you , and it’s at the quieter end of Chaweng. Sadly because of storms there was no beach so take this into account what time of year you go. This of course is no fault of the resort. My only concern is the resort has been taken over by a new group and there prices have increased quite considerably I would normally book direct with the property but they were double in price compared with Agoda so shop around.

A good hotel, very clean and fresh, private beach right next to the pool. Rooms were very clean and I was surprised with a up grade to the honeymoon suite as my booked room was not available. This was a great gesture on Managements part.

This resort is nice... very big, 2 sites; one by the beach and one by the hills. The beach side is nicer as it oversees a beautiful strip of Chaweng Beach with gorgeous white sand. The beach provides access to many bars and restaurants. The hotel also has 2 awesome pools. The hotel restaurant is nice, but does not have too much variety. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Amenities were lacking in the room I was in; all that is provided is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. The bathroom was huge with a spa. The room was neat and spacious (although lacking any character), but cleanliness could be improved. It needed some dusting and I was also unfortunate enough to get a bed with bed bugs so I didn’t sleep in it for fear of being bitten. The front office and concierge staff were the best part of my stay as they were helpful and amazingly friendly. I’d recommend this place mostly for the service and pool/beach access.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Our room was spacious and very nice. The staff in reception is very kind and helpful. The water at the beach is warm and the sand is soft. You can walk out a little way and sit in the water and it is calm. The parts I didn't like are: you have to walk across the street if your room is located away from the reception and it is a very busy street. There is a person who stops traffic so you can get across. You have to go through reception to get to the beach; so it's a ways to get there. It was very noisy with Chinese people and their children practically yelling at each other when we were there. They allowed their children to run between tables at breakfast and around the pool where people are trying to relax. There was a high percentage of Chinese compared to other nationalities and it was not relaxing due to their loud behavior. The breakfast wasn't organized. Apparently, they were short staffed, but some of the staff was rude; I'm not sure if they were stressed, but they told people they didn't have certain items that were definitely available. After a couple of days of frustration, we approached the manager and finally the general manager, Domenic. He was very professional and listened carefully to our concerns. He explained that he had been there only nine months and that things had improved but still needed some work. He really tried hard to work with us to make things right. In the end we decided to go to Ko Phangan and he arranged for transportation to the ferry, and transportation when we returned since we had a flight to Bankok. The staff helped us get our ferry tickets and were extremely helpful. He also gave us credit for the days we chose not to stay at the hotel. I believe he will make this a great hotel if he gets more time to secure a reliable staffing.

Near the rooms a swamp filled with mosquitoes and frogs the room has the worst floorplan ever i took the family room . when entering the room you enter into to bathroom . to exit the room you must go throught the bathroom . the hotels locationc sucks. the hotel is very old . ruins the name of novetel worldwide not even 2 stars the only thing thats ok is the pool. even the beach is with sewer water

Nice pool and location ”
Very nice resort, with beautiful garden. Nice big pool, sea looks really beautiful but is not deep. I Get a free upgrade to a room close to the pool, rooms are very spacious. The hillside rooms are a little far and you have to cross a busy road. Airconditioning in the room was working very bad, get an other room but also in this room the temperature stayed very high at night. Last few days the room was smelling like sewage, also outside the room. After complaining at reception, they light some candle. That solved the smell but not the problem. Breakfast is nice but, the same everyday. Food and drinks are over priced. Will I stay again? For sure , but only with some good air-conditioned rooms.

It should be better”
It should be better since we chosen the hotel in a standard of Accor group but i don't know in which system they use for screening their customers. We are 2 ladies and they have add us to the room which is very far away to the back side of the hotel. And since the building have many level with at least 4 elevator with different kind of floor. First arrived they took us to the room by the 3rd elevator which we have to go up to 4 floor then take Tehran half floor by stair. But when we have to come back to the room by ourself we took the 1st elevator and the top floor we can press is 4 floor but we came off seem to be in a different floor of our room then we walk up by stair for 2 more floor. Basically it is too complicate and to far for the woman walking back to the room. Especially if it at the night. Then at the beach side there is not enough towel and no refill. We have been waiting until we finished and i end up by sharing the towel with my friend. The staff at the check in didn't inform us for any of hotel information, we have to ask from one of the expat staff for the breakfast place and he was informed us we can have breakfast at both side. But when we arrive on the beach side for breakfast the other expat staff told us this side is reserve for the customers that stay on this side. This is quite impolite for my opinion to reply to your customer in this kind of way. So we have told her that one of the staff told us to come here or should we walk back, and at the end she allow us to have the breakfast there. There is many way to handle this situation, you should check with your front desk first if they have inform to all the customers or not. However the other day we stay on the other side but overall the breakfast here is not a Novotel standard at all. Asian side boil rice not hot not even warm. Breakfast station dirty, not clean, not fill up the food. even fried is very bad, i wish i can show you how is look. Fried rice same color as stream rice. 2 kind of fri
