Good hotel to stay”

My family and I found the staff of Sapa Luxury incredible. We arrived very early and were given very early check with no issues. The manger helped us arrange child friendly trek and transport back to the train in Lao Cai. He gave us extra water and fruit for our journey. Breath taking views of Sapa's country side from our rooms balcony. Manger allowed us a very late check out, 4.30 pm, in time for our pre arranged bus back to the train. No hidden costs, very honest and hotelier.
I had a pleasant stay here. The receptionist is very helpful in accommodating all my needs: trekking tour and transport to Lao Cai bus station. I got to this hotel early in the morning, around 8am, and they prepared the room for me to check in. Not only that, they upgraded me to deluxe room, which has king size bed, with large window on top floor. The view is magnificent from the big balcony (with some benches). As the weather could be cold at all times, the bed is equipped with electric mattress to keep us warm. A heater is also available in the room. They gave me a bottle of wine upon checking, a gesture which I really appreciated. I am a happy guest.
Great cosy hotel in central sapa”
Get superior rooms, they are large and very comfortable with big windows and balconies.best pho in town at the small restaurant. Beds are quite hard though as is most of northen vietnam but still very comfortable.
great service, good location”
The hotel offers nice view of Sapa, weather permitting! It was a good thing the hotel provided a portable heater as well as a heating blanket, as the temperature was rather low. This made our stay very comfortable. The room was equipped with a computer connected to the Internet. We also used the hotel services for a guided tour of some rice paddies in the area for a cheaper price than those offered by the tourist information center. They also have a shuttle service to go back to Lao Cai, which is just the same price as anywhere else.
Lovely Hotel and friendly staffs”
It is a lovely hotel with friendly staffs. After the trekking, hotel provides free cleaning for shoes. The hotel even provides free upgrade for the room if there is availibility. The hotel is also near to Cat Cat Village which you can explore by yourself.
Pleasant hotel but wily owner + limited breakfast”
the hotel itself is actually very nice, big rooms, a clean bathroom and stunning views of the sapa hills. the hotel owner however was quite sneaky. in particular we wanted to go to the bac ha market and were looking for a cheap tour to go with, the hotel owner convinced us that his tour (more expensive than most) was worth it because of his 'specially selected' and 'incredibly safe' driver. not the case, the driver wasn't any better then any of the other crazy bus drivers in vietnam! not that we minded at all but we just felt we had been cheated. instead go to the small tour groups all over the town its cheaper and no different. also watch out for the guy renting mopeds outside, he will talk and talk and talk about how great his service is and probably lie to you about how much gas you need to get to where you want to go, i just ignored him gave him the money and took the bike, which already had plenty of gas in it to get me where i wanted to go!
Great Location and small room, too bad no windows”
Stayed here for 2 nights. On the first day our standard twin room is not available so they upgrade us to deluxe room and the next day move again to standard room. The different is deluxe have a window while standard don't have. I found my standard room is a bit dark and gloomy. Need to repaint on the wall as some room already mouldy. Breakfast is delicious, not a buffet. You can choose vietnamese breakfast (Pho) or Western breakfast (pancake or baquette) with fresh juice (mango or watermelon) and tea or cofee. Good service from their front desk and restaurant staff and if you happen to be arrived early and need to shower, they will provide you shower. Or when you go back to Hanoi with night train, they will also provide shower for you.
We booked 2 standard rooms, but when we came they gave us 2 rooms at different storey so we asked to change. The hotel manager surprised us by giving 1 delux and 1 standard room at 4th floor without any charge.Thank you, Mr. Long. The delux room was wonderful while the standard was a little dispointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful at anytime which I highly appreciated. Breakfast was modest but quite good. Will choose this hotel again when we're back to Sapa
The best value in town!”
we realised how special this was when we had to shift hotels (sapa luxury was already booked out for the saturday night & we never plan far ahead when travelling) when we got to the other hotel, which was the same price, we realised that at sapa luxury we got: a bigger room, bigger towels, bath mats, soap shampoo and conditioner each day, air-conditioning and free wifi and computer in room. and we had a view of the valley. the staff were friendly and helpful staff.
lovely hotel with big room”
the hotel is managed by a young lovely couple. they are ever ready to serve the guests. i have booked for 3 standard rooms and the rooms are spacious with 1 super single and 1 double bed. as i have 8 person, i was charged usd - for the addition person with breakfast even the rooms can accommodate 3 person. it will be great if they can provide more varieties for the breakfast. the location of this hotel is great. it's only short walk to cat cat village, market area, sapa centre and etc.
Best Service, Best Room and Best Location”
my wife and i stayed for one night. the staff speak good english with excellent service. they allow us to check in early at 8 am. the room is clean and spacious with balcony. free computer and wifi inside the room. bathroom also clean with hot water. location is good. it is the nearest hotel going to cat cat village. although we only stay for one night, it be our best night as the hotel owner present us free local wine for our romantic dinner. really surprising. we definitely recommend this hotel for their excellent service.
Value for Money”
Excellent value for money. I would certainly recommend this hotel because it is a clean hotel. It even provides a hair drier as standard! (Useful to dry wet socks 😊 because it was raining daily for d 2 days we were in Sapa). The breakfast was simple, but sufficient for me (I chose scrambled egg with bread). I especially liked d freshly prepared fruit juice (it was not those from packets!). On d less-positive side - no lift (but not an issue with my fit group of three 64-65 year olds 😊)
Sapa Luxury Hotel is really value for your money. Clean, cheap and located near the center (7 min), but enough away from it to avoid noises and tumults. We had a problem with the light of the bathroom of our room and they upgraded us (with no cost) to a better room (with beautiful views). The staff is nice, they even prepared us breakfast to take away the last day in the morning. 10/10.
Amazing Stay with Amazing Staff”
Our stay was awesome! The staff are friendly and did everything before we asked. Heaters in the room are a bonus! Views amazing, food great, shower pressure a bit weak but otherwise brilliant. Stay here in winter, it's warm and worth the extra money for electric blankets and heaters
Good Location with good view at rooftop”
The hotel is quite old but well maintain. It is located at few mins walk to SAPA town and easy access to all the villages. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a roof top with spectacular view to the mountains and villages. Breakfast is normal but small portion.
Extremely enjoyed and relaxed”
We were overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel's staff for the whole 3-day trip. The rooms were bigger and nicer than expected from the picture. It is my 5th time travelling to Sapa but this is the most friendly hotel I have ever been in. Even though the service is not as professional as a 4 or 5 star hotels, a family owned hotel has its unique attractions and a feeling of being at home. We would definitely come back here and recommend to every friend and relative if they come to Sapa.
Awesome stay, great service, panoramic views”
I completely and totally enjoyed my stay in Sapa and was extremely impressed with everything at the Sapa Luxury Hotel....... The room was spacious, featured nice/unique decor, big bathroom, the most awesome view and great value..... The owner's a family group..... were nothing short of the best I could have expected..... They all spoke fluent English, were extremely courteous, helpful and kind........ I would definitely return to the Sapa Luxury Hotel.....
Enjoyable stay, friendly staff, amazing views”
We had a great time in Sapa. We arrived by train early in the morning and were upgraded to the VIP room as we booked 2 of the tours through the hotel - highly recommended as the views are spectacular from the room. Both tours/treks were amazing. We had our own private guide who took us on an amazing journey through the local H'mong villages and rice fields. These treks were one of the highlights of our holiday - the beautiful scenery and countryside of this area of Vietnam is a must see for anyone visiting Sapa.
Amazing hotel with the best view, great staff.”
Absolutely loved the Sapa Luxury Hotel. The view from the room was amazing and the room very spacious. The staff very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to have an early check in after our over night train trip.
comfortable and wonderful views”
Lovely room with fantastic views from the very large balcony. Helpful staff with a good range of treks and activities available. A number of good restaurants nearby along with a wide range of shops and stalls.
A great place to stay”
I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were delightful and most obliging, our room was large, clean and light and, as we travelled in the off-season, we had an upgraded room and an early check-in on arrival early in the morning. Both of these factors really added to our most enjoyable stay. The hotel is on the road to Cat Cat village so there was a constant stream of village women making the treck in and out of Sapa, which made for great 'people watching'.
The beds at this hotel were bar none the best in Vietnam, the walk up to the room was a bit of a stretch as it was almost five flights of steps to take but the view from our balcony was spectacular. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone (who has no problem with stairs).
Right in the Heart of Sapa”
We booked a room with mountain views and it was amazing. The Hotel is not the most modern but it is very comfortable and quaint. Location is on the road down to Cat Cat village and there are many great places to eat and drink on the same road. Great place to relax and enjoy Sapa.
Wonderful people - we felt part of the family”
From the moment we got off the overnight train and found a transfer minibus waiting for us, until the moment we left, we felt so well looked after at this Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and also very trustworthy, they shopped around for us to find the best value train tickets and generally made sure we had everything we needed. We also did a day tour with one of their local guides which would have to be a highlight of our trip. The rooms are quite spacious and be bed huge and comfy. The furnishings are simple but adequate. I would definitely come back here. Also, it would be worthwhile booking a room with the deck as the more basic rooms don't have a view.
Good base for visiting Sa Pa, goof value for money”
All poitive, with one negative (not sure if the hotel is reponsible though). Sa Pa is a very humid place, and it can get relatively cool at night (ewven very cold in the weason). We were there in April. We found that if we went oleft the windothe room was came back, aur clothes we slightly dith windowng the day and aircon situationed
Good location, good service”
We arrived on the night train and were able to shower in the restaurant washroom if we wished. After breakfast, luckily our room was available. We booked a tour that day through the hotel. It seemed a little expensive but included a room upgrade, lunch and a van to pick us up in the village 15 km away after our walk. Plus, they provided a fantastic guide, a Red Dzao girl, 19 years old, who spoke very good English and did an all around great job. The day with her was a highlight of our travels. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We recommend staying here.
All the comforts and tours you need in Sapa. ”
We booked our tours through the hotel as we heard their prices were as good as any tour company. This lead to an upgrade to the VIP room which had a magnificent view of the mountains ( when the clouds had passed at least). Our tour guide was excellent, and cleaned our shoes after our treks as well. The hotel also provided transfer from Lao Cai station, and breakfast following out early arrival from Hanoi. Sapa Luxury definitely added to our wonderful experience and now memories in Sapa
Friendly family-run hotel with spacious rooms”
What a delightful hotel! No problem with early check-in after the night train to Sapa, and 1/2 bottle of wine as a welcome present. We had our doubts when we had to walk up the 76 steps to our fourth floor room (no elevator), but we were rewarded with a large spacious room with its own computer. The biggest reward was the view - out large windows overlooking the room`s terrace - of the east valley of Sapa, the mountains, and Fanispan. The included breakfast was substantial. A very pleasant stay.
Good choice in Sapa”
Went to Sapa in January when its cold and damp so were very pleased when the onwer gave us a heater for the room and an electric blanket for the bed. All hotels in Sapa have tiled floors because all the paths in the neighbourhood are very muddy so floors get dirty quickly. This makes eveywhere very cold though.
Room with a view and wonderful breakfast”
We had been immediately turned on when concierge did a bait and switch upon arrival. "If you do all the tours thru hotel, you will an upgrade to the single rooftopp suite. . We were placed in a spacious room with odd eclectic decor with a strong mildew odor. The water pressure that reaches the 4th floor is low so your shower has hot water but low volume. The view on the expansive open rooftop patio makes you forget all your cares or complaints. We stayed 4 days mostly with heavy fog so the view didn't present itself till the final day.
Big Rooms, friendly service, good value”
We were happy with our choice of a standard room which was very large and good value. You pay and extra $10 for a delux room with a balcony/ view but this does not seem to be as good value. Because we were here in february the weather was very cold and misty for most of the time, the room had a good heater and a kettle for making hot drinks which was very good after a day spent out in the mist. The hot shower was also very good. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a value for money place with friendly staff.
what a view !!!!!!!”
This was our first stay when we left Hanoi. What a great location for a hotel.Everything we imagined after looking at the promotional site for this hotel.Positioned alongside shopping, eating and massage facilities.Sapa was more the better place knowing we had a beautiful outlook from the balcony outside our room.
A very nice hotel with very helpful staff”
a well located hotel offering some of the nicest and biggest rooms in sapa, with a nice view of the mountains from your room or from a big terrace. we exchanged usd and got a better rate than at the local bank. very helpful staff. there was also a pc as well as wifi in the room. the heated mattress was really neat and helped a lot with the cold and humid winter climate that prevails in sapa.
one-stop hotel that covers all your needs”
A couple of friends and I went to Sapa in December when it was cold and foggy, so we can't say much about the views from the hotel. Despite ours being a double room, only the larger bed had a heated mattress. The staff were always polite and service was impeccable, but we could not help but feel the lack of sincerity and generosity from the way they spoke, for they always informed us first on how much something we wanted to borrow would cost if broken or lost, whereas other hotels would lend them to us for free.
Lovely Hotel with fantastic and very helpful staff”
We had a fantastic 1 night / 2 day stay at the Sapa Luxury Hotel. We booked our guide through reception and got a very good deal. Rooms were very spacious with a great view and breakfast was great. When we arrived at 7am, our room was not quite ready, however staff offered us to have a shower and breakfast. Staff provided gumboots for the trekking if it was muddy. Otherwise if using your own boots, they were cleaned after each hike. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any traveler.
Great hotel, good location”
Although the weather wasn't great we enjoyed walks around the valley. It was foggy most of the time but when it cleared out the views were to die for. I didn't like the western shops filled with 'North Face' stuff. Loved Sapa Rooms, food was awesome!!! Had some nice treats at the night market too.
awesome hotel and staff!”
In 3 weeks of travelling in Vietnam and Thailand, this was our favorite hotel experience! First and fore-most, the staff is unbelievably nice. The rooms are also great, and they had heat unlike many/most Sapa hotels (we visited in early January, it was cold, but they had an electric heater and (more importantly) an electric heated mattress pad... which was unbelievably nice, way nicer than any electric blanket..) A few more detailed notes: - We wanted to day hike to the top of Mt Fansipan on the second day. They organized it all for us (and while it was very expensive for a day hike, that is the going rate there, we asked 3-4 different shops and the tourist info place) + upgraded us to the top floor "VIP room" (which offered amazing views/experience, since the day we arrived was sunny and clear). - After returning from our hike around 4pm, they gave us free hot showers, cleaned our muddy shoes while we showered, followed by free Pho soup for both of us, and arranged us the minivan to Lao Cai for $2.50/each, so we could catch our train back at 7:30pm without having to rush! - All throughout treated us like family.. I have never felt so welcome (we wished we could speak Vietnamese to speak with the older family members who did not speak English, but were extremely friendly too) One small note: if you do a big hike, bring your own water or ensure they are bringing enough by asking to see it. A guide is required for Fansipan and we were assured he's carrying all the water for us (and he confirmed). Turned out he brought 1 L of water for the two of us, which was not sufficient (we had also brought 0.5 l ourselves "just in case" and that saved the day). But that's not really the hotel's fault! Also the water pressure in the VIP room shower was really low.. probably because of the height of the building - it was better on lower floors.
Friendly staff and good view”
the staff members were friendly and helpful at the sapa luxury hotel. we were greeted with cinnamon tea and a bottle of wine when we checked in. the room was spacious and the view was great. the decor was a little dated, but overall it was good value for your money.
The rooms are clean with heater and electric blankets provided (very much needed in the colder months). Staff at the front desk speak excellent English and are very helpful. It is easy to book tours around Sapa and villages through the front desk, with prices as good as anywhere. They were very helpful in booking a train back to Hanoi and will also arrange a bus to the train station in Lao Cai. Take advantage of having these knowledgable staff, they can tell you lots about Sapa and the people who live here. Wifi in rooms was good, and a computer is provided in the rooms too. Only negative... the hot water is only good for a quick shower.
We had 2 nights in the hotel. Unfortunately, they didnt let us check in early, which is a shame when most of the train/buses arrive to Sa Pa around 8 or 9 am, it means hours waiting in the cold, but ok I can understand. The room are quite spacious and the beds are comfortable equipped with electric blanket... The breakfast was nice. Overall it was ok, nothing to complain
we booked for 3 rooms and are satisfied with its overall cleanliness. the manager allows us to use 1 room ahead of check in time as we arrived early from hanoi. he also upgrade 1 of the room to deluxe. we find that the standard room itself is rather spacious and comfortable. the room are well heated for the cold weather but find that it had limited power sockets. eventhough the rooms had a desktop but its internet connection is rather slow. the manager and his brother are very helpful and accomodating.
Disappointing from the get go.”
We booked this hotel online to ensure we would have a comfortable room from which to explore Sapa and complete some photography assignments we had in the hills. In order to ensure we arrived on time for the first day's sunrise and early morning photographic opportunities, we asked the hotel for a pickup from the train station by phone the day before check-in. They gladly said they would provide this and that we would arrive as planned. This all changed when we arrived at the train station. There were a couple of pieces of paper being waved about with our hotel's name on them, but not our names. We tried to talk to the lady holding the papers, but she was unable to speak enough English to let us know if we were able to ride her van to the hotel. So, I called the hotel from the train station. It took 5 attempts to even get an answer from the hotel, and when they did pick up, they asked us to go with the woman from the train station. We got in her van, and were told we needed to wait 10 minutes before departing. 10 minutes changed into an hour, and by the time we had reached the hotel, our morning photographic opportunities had all but evaporated and we expressed our discontent to the manager. His response was "You booked the standard room, the cheapest option. What do you expect?" My response to this sort of service was a given; unhappy to say the least. After an 8 hour hike in the mountains to visit some villages and let off a little steam, we returned to the hotel. The staff were much more considerate and worked extremely hard to make up for the morning's disaster. They even upgraded our room, ironically. The room itself had a leaking shower and doors that were extremely difficult to open and close, which is not what we expect when the hotel is significantly more expensive than others in Vietnam. We will give credit where it is due, the staff did their best after the initial incident, and the breakfasts were fantastic.
Great location and solid service”
The room and restaurant are simple and reasonably comfortable. Heated blankets are standard as there is no heat - however , heat was not necessary. The staff were very helpful and the wifi useful making this hotel a good value for staying in Sapa or a good launching point for Fansipan.
Extremely lovely view from the VIP room ”
simple and nice boutique hotel. top floor vip room is just fantastic. room is spacious . we had a heater so it was warm ( sorry we are from singapore) so not too used to cooler temperatures. we went hiking and got our shoes so muddy , and the hotel offered to clean our shoes for free . happy to be back . will be nice if there is a dvd player . hope to have poach egg as a option in breakfast menu
Fantastic view and good location”
we were upgraded to a vip room upon arrival. the staff were very welcoming and we were able to check in and book tours despite our early arrival time. the room was very large and comfortable and had an absolutely fantastic view of the surroundings. the hotel was conveniently close to the centre of town.
Great service, couldn't wish for better”
Our stay at the Luxury Sapa Hotel was fantastic, the management Long and Chinh were very welcoming and helpful organising our daily activities. Always there to welcome us home after a days walk, ready with a lovely pot of cinnamon tea in the foyer. The rooms were very roomy, clean and had all that you need plus, we had a computer in our room, and a huge balcony overlooking the beautiful valleys and mountains. Highly recommend to any traveller.
Very nice hotel, nice room and view, amazing staff”
We were very happy to stay in this hotel, enjoyed the comfortable room and the nice view. The staff was really friendly and helpful... We really recommend this hotel to anybody who want to spend a few days in Sapa.
Very attentive hotel owners”
We would return here but would ensure we had the luxury or higher standard room. The standard rooms open onto a wide communal walkway or wide corridor that in turn opens to the outside, at each level. These have no natural light and can be a bit gloomy. The luxury rooms are the much better option as they are at the front of the hotel and have much better ventilation and lots of natural light and a view across the valley and terraced rice paddies. The hotel owners and staff a very caring, eg. Giving a bottle of water to each guest for the trip back to Lao Cai.
beautiful hotel with very friendly staff.”
this hotel was a delight to stay at. before check in time they allowed us to laeve our suitcases whilst attending the markets for the day. they also offered us showers the morning we arrived before check in. number 1 and number 2 (manager and staff member) were very friendly. the tea upon arrival was delicious. we were upgraded to a superior room for no reason other then no one was staying in it. it was amazing! it had a huge windows overlooking the mountains. truly beautiful view. the breakfast was fantastic and they had multiple options with fresh fruit. the cleaning ladies were very efficient and lovely.
