Good Stay”

Spent 2 nights in Via Inn Asakusa, very satisfied with the room. This hotel is really near to Sensoji temple, but is a little bit far from Tokyo metro Asakusa line or Ginza line. Tried to request for early check in but extra charges needed, but they help us to keep our luggage before we can check in. Room is clean and room service is good as well. Will recommend to my friends around who is going to Tokyo soon, but do take noe that walking distance is around 15-20mins from nearest metro station. There is convenience store and restaurant nearby which is really convenience for supper. Love it.

Great value”

The room is small, no doubt about it. But it has its own bathroom unlike a capsule hotel. And I paid what I would have for a capsule hotel. so yeah, it was a terrific value. The room was very clean and very well maintained. The staff spoke English, although I did most of my conversation in Japanese. The hotel is a short walk from the Asakusa rail station (7-10 min) and in a very convenient location. I basically took my morning walks in Sensō-ji Temple which is just around the corner. Nearby is a 7-Eleven so you won't starve for any lack of food. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. My floor had a vending machine, including beer. There is a coin laundry in the building but I did not use it. If you want an inexpensive but clean hotel in a convenient location, I highly recommend Via Inn Asakusa.

Always Superb!!!”

It is our second time and Tokyo and we always book at Via Inn Asakusa. The Hotel was very clean and the room was spacious with complete amenities (towel, toiletries, hair dryer, etc). They change the towel and make up the room everyday if you request to. Feels like a 5star hotel but with a cheaper price. Hotel staffs were always accommodating, polite and helpful. We'll definitely stay again.

Very good but can be improved”

Location, Skytree View, Staff Politeness

Hotel Cleanliness was very good, the cleaners were extremely polite. Location, Superb I would say, I was lucky to get a room facing the Skytree, which, when I woke up I never failed to see the new icon of Tokyo! The room comfort, the pillows and blankets were abit rough and hard. It would be nice if they were softer. It was my first time purchasing tax-free items in other country and I asked the receptionist regarding the issue , shall I check-in my TAX FREE items ( including LAGs more than 100ml ) as I travel back to my country. The items were packed in a bag that looks exactly like the ( Duty Free - Onboard LAG sealed Bag ) So I was confused whether I can bring this onboard as it looks like the Duty-Free LAG Bag onboard. They tried to clear my queries but they were unable to provide a satisfactory answer. This was not their fault. There are so many TAX FREE shops in Japan. It is good for the staff to equip themselves with knowledge regarding this procedure. 1. TAX-FREE Items purchased ( LAG ) must be check in if more than 100 ml even though it is in a sealed bag. 2. The TAX-FREE paper will be removed by Custom Officer at HND/NRT Airport, after security screen. This was what I wanted to know, it would be nice if there is ***information paper*** regarding this TAX-FREE information to be given out , for the guests. I know Via Inn has many receptionists, there was a girl who can speak English well but too bad when I wanted to ask question, she wasn't there. To me I expect one the staff on duty to speak good English if you would like to claim the hotel as a 4 star hotel. I hope you take my feedback positively and do something about it Other than that, I appreciated one of ur staff who suggested me a better access to Disneyland, which the information sheets regarding bus schedule have been prepared earlier on. Please keep up the good work, I will definitely select Via Inn in the future if I have the chance to travel in Tokyo again.

Lovely hotel a beautiful part of Tokyo”

Proximity to the Sensoji Temple

the bluewave inn asakusa exceeded our expectations in every way. the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and well-maintained, making it a great place to return to after a long day out. for us hair aficionados, we have your own stock of shiseido shampoo and conditioner. its proximity to train stations served by tokyo metro (ginza line) and toei (asakusa line) subway lines, it is a convenient location to base yourself for sightseeing. the area of asakusa is definitely worth visiting, the best part of staying here though, must be its proximity to the beautiful sensoji temple. though not necessary, we always walked to and from the station through the temple grounds to return to the hotel. i would certainly return to stay here, if only for this very privilege.

Super Preis-Leistung”

BlueWave Inn”

Nice and helpful staff. Modern-decorated and clean room. Free internet. Good location.

I had a pleasant two-night stay at BlueWave Inn Asakusa. The hotel staff spoke good English and were helpful with giving information about the area and direction. I stayed in a semi-double room and found it quite spacious for one person. The room was clean. I asked the housekeeper not to clean my room, and they placed the full new bathing package including several towels, yukata, and etc. in front of my room. There is a vending machine on every floor. The hotel is close to a shopping mall and there are many restaurants nearby. Some previous reviews said that they had to pay for the internet and even for leaving their luggage at the front desk prior to/after check-in/out. However, I did not had those problems. When I asked to use the internet, the staff gave me a LAN cable to use with my laptop in my room and told me to return it when checking out. When I left the hotel, the female staff caught a taxi for me, gave direction to the taxi driver and even helped me carry my heavy luggage. The only complaint I have is that I got lost coming to the hotel.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff”

Located near Temple

It is actually quite walkable from the Asakusa station, although my huge backpack and pushing my luggage of the same size didn't help much, but we had a great stroll to the station after we offloaded our stuff. Anyhow, the hotel is also near the temple and since it was New Year's Eve when we arrived, we got to visit the temple near midnight and experience how Japanese spend their New Year. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. They even provided us with directions to the nearby telco so that we can get SIM cards for our phones. The room was not too small, as compared to other hotels in Tokyo. I believe the price was also the norm for hotels in Tokyo too, though throwing in free breakfast would be great. In all, we had a pleasant stay at BlueWave Inn Asakusa and we'll definitely be back here.

Very convenient hotel ”

Good location - very near to transportation and foods

bluewave inn is located in a very good location. it's about 5-7 min walk to both ginza and asakusa line. tobu station (for nikko route) is only 3-4 mins walk. along the route to hotel, you can easily find convenient store and small restaurants which are very helpful at night after come back from whole-day sight seeing. the room, even though small, is fully equipped with all necessary amenities. free internet is also provided through ethernet cable. the room we stayed is en-suite with both shower and a bath tub (tiny one like those in the local house in tokyo). cleanliness is normal japanese standard (that is very clean). the room is highly recommended for businessmen and travelers due to its convenience location. it is not for honeymooners who might want to spend more time in room relaxing.

Clean and compact room ”

It was a clean and compact room. The staff were friendly. If you were thinking of a room with full snack bar and spacious, you’ll have to go elsewhere. From airport take the Keisei access express to Asakusa station on Asakusa line(reddish orange line) and exit via the lift at exit 2b. Once you are out of the station, cross the road (straight) then cross again(right). Go straight, you will pass by the Asakusa raimon. The hotel is behind the temple. (Got to go out to the main road at the right). Basically the direction is not straightforward, however it is a nice little town away from the city to stay. You will find 7-eleven nearby. It is was an amazing trip with the hotel. If you a lot of baggage, you might want to consider using the station locker- ( not a lot of locker at Asakusa line, it is not linked to the Ginza line) So plan before you leave;) you’ll save time for wandering!

Great location and excellent service ”

Great location, helpful staff, spacious rooms

the very first thing i would like to mention would be the attentiveness of the hotel staff. even though we did not indicated for an extra bed, but listed that 3 person would be staying, the staff prepared an extra bed in our twin room. the hotel is literally beside the biggest temple in tokyo, sensoji. it's very beautiful sight at night when the tourist are gone and temple beautifully lit up. the tokyo sky tree is also within walking distance from the hotel. if you do not know what to do in the area, you can visit asakusa's tourist information centre. the hotel is a 10 min walk from the asakusa tokyo metro station. for anime and manga enthusiast, this means you're only 3 stations away from akihabara. the only con would be that people with the jr pass would not benefit since it is not on the jr line.

Lovely hotel, good location!”

Very clean, excellent service, great location, an hour's train ride from Narita airport and a 25min ride from Shibuya

I had recently booked a room at Bluewave Inn on agoda for one person but my boyfriend decided to join me on my holiday last min. The hotel was nice enough to give us a free upgrade to a small double room for our 4 day stay. Our room was extremely clean and was reasonably spacious (according to Tokyo standards). We requested not to have our rooms clean on the first day and when we came back from our day's activities, we found a laundry bag with clean towels, yukatas, tooth brushes, etc, hanging on our door knob! Very thoughtful and very sweet. Service was also excellent. Staff were helpful in providing us with directions and whatever we need. The location is fantastic! The hotel is situated just a 5-7min walk from the Asakusa station on the ginza line, A great place to stay, away from the crowds and chaos of the city! Highly recommended.

Basically i loved it. Hygienic, good location, friendly staff, lots of shopping and food around there which are more of neighborhood prices. Near the asakusa station Ginza line but a little further away from the toei asakusa station. Nevertheless, still within walking distance. Not many tv channels but there's a pay-tv option for those who wants additional channels. Self service laundry shop is within walking distance ( can ask the staff for the map). Overall, i loved it and will be back there the next time i go to tokyo!!

Clean and efficient hotel, good area”

clean and tidy, toiletries provided in bathroom, complimentary tea in rooms, and a nice sized tv

we stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, our first impression as we arrived was that it looked modern and clean, and the hotel attendants are all very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived very late at night to check in. we requested to change rooms however, because the room we originally got given smelled really strongly of smoke (as did the entire floor's hallways etc) - i think this is mainly due to japan still being one of those countries where people can smoke almost everywhere, and bluewave being a regular favourite for business men this is perhaps to be expected. so if you don't want to be in a smokey room make sure you request for a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor (they only have 2 floors of these) in any case the lovely manager gave us a new room and we were happy. the area asakusa is considered one of the more 'traditional' areas in tokyo so we really enjoyed being able to experience that and at the same time it was really close to metro stations as well as the river bus (ferry) so it was very convenient for us to go out exploring everyday. lots of nice little traditional sushi bars and 'izakaya' places so you will have plenty of options for dining out locally, plus there are 2 convenience shops near the hotel. all in all it was a good experience and i would recommend it to a friend.

The bathroom is typicaly small , which was Ok but you have to step up over the door way to get in so it may not be accessble to some persons. Not much of a view on the side I was on. Would be nice if breakfast was included in the price.

The hotel Blue Wave Inn was in a safe area, only about 10 minutes walk from the Asakusa subway line. This was important as a woman traveling alone. I was able to reach it easily from Tokyo station and the airport.Good location close to hisorical sites, shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly answered my questions , and allowed me to store my luggage after check out. It was quiet at night. I would recomend it and stay there again.

Great budget hotel in Tokyo”

Great location, value for money, clean and modern

The BlueWave Inn is a great hotel for a stay in Tokyo. Close to the station and the nearby temple, tourist shopping and river in Asakusa. The staff spoke good English. The room was large and clean. The hotel was modern. The only downside was a smell of smoke in the hotel.

Blue Wave Inn Asakusa - Treasure”

Great location being so close to Metro Rail station, restaurants, convenience stores, and sightseeing venues in particular the Temple (just around the corner). The staff were polite, professional, courteous and efficient in checking us into the Hotel. I found the room to be exceptional with everything, clean, tidy, upmarket decor and every possible toiletry a traveller would need.
There are no cons!

I would recommend the Blue Wave Inn Asakusa to anyone and will return again. The locality of the Hotel was close to everything - whether you want to eat, sightsee, or stroll around Asakusa. The room was found to be immaculate, and fresh with the upmarket decor and it meets the business and/or travellers' requirements.

Value for money”

We had stay 4 nights with Via inn Asakusa, asking for non smoking room with Tokyo tower view is better. However we didn't get those. The smoking smell in room cannot eliminate. as far as I remember, only 3 floors is non smoking floor. The hotel serve the good standard service and facility - in room air cleaner , nice soap , shampoo and bathroom amenity provided. Walking distance from subway is 10-12 minutes depend on subway hibiya or asakusa line , hibiya is closer. Near sensoji temple and must see shopping area.
