It's not so clean, but it's ok. Staying in London for such a price, I believe this hostel is more than OK if you're traveling in budget. It's a bit distance from the nearest DLLR/tube station, but if you're convenient enough with bus, you can just take it from the bus stop located just next to the hostel. The surroundings are nice but it's a bit quiet in the evening. The nearest minimarket is Tesco located near the DLLR/tube station.
Great value for money, location is not super close to Central London - 25 minutes via bus. Not many restaurants/bars around.
Good Hostel... One Of The Best I Have Stayed”
It was my first time staying here but it was indeed a very fantastic time for me. Very close to the train station, the bus stops just in front of the hostel, shops, and restaurants around. It is a good place.
Good value hostel”
upon arrival the receptionist (Becky) greeted me with a smile, was checked in swiftly by her and went out of her way to help me as I wanted a bottom bunk bed. it's a nice quiet place and good value hostel.
Good for young travelers. Good location. Very much a hostel. If you want to be 15 mins walk from a part of central London, this place is great, but remember...London is big so central London is probably 5Ks wide/long
Very clean and comfortable budget hostel. Great staff especially Magdalena. Good Wi-Fi and great washrooms
Terrible mistake, BAD location!”
I make big mistake in choosing this hotel is a though it located near to a subway in London. I realize the subway in London is amazingly slow and required to walk many stairs, without elevator! We carry our luggage travel from Gatwick airport to hostel total cost us around 2 hours! Freaking tiring. We learned the mistake and use uber for the rest of our stay. Another mistake learned, NEVER use taxi in London, it cost you $15 pound for 2.4km journey!
Really friendly staff”
Amazingly quiet for such a busy area. Great facilities, garden rood terrace with funky furniture, cafe and bar. Brilliant kitchen with 2 fridges and double hob, oven, toaster, microwave and loads of pots and pans. Staff are all friendly and polite. Rebecca on reception is so amenable and nothing is too much trouble. Really clean with great showers. Awesome common room with table tennis and fussball. I would thoroughly recommend.
Not bad if you're spending a short time in London. Rooms are pretty small and the beds are very unstable to make sure you'll wake up any time somebody climbers to their ones. At the same time, staff is very helpful and wifi works pretty good.
Needs a lot of work”
The whole place needs a deep clean. Day to day cleaning was minimal and poor, which is why this hostel is in this state. 9 person room is too small to host 3 x triple bunk beds. There is no proper ventilation in the rooms either so it was extremely warm. The cheap triple bunk beds are not fixed securely so sway terribly when there's any movement in the beds, given the feeling that they will fall over one day. The showers were decent, just not very clean. Staff member on arrival was very polite. Security staff member is there in the night time but the doors are unlocked and I feel anyone can come in and use the hostel facilities. WiFi was good. Overall, an experience I don't want to have again!
It is a perfect place to saty. I enjoyed it very much.”
Good value for money. Provision for personal cooking. Free storage room. Nice beds with sockets for each person. Amazing common room with gaming facilities. Very friendly receptionists. I'll definitely visit again, this time for longer.
Hello Gospel, Thank you for you message and we are pleased you had a nice time staying at via limehouse Hostel kind regards Darren Reception Supervisor
Amazing value for money”
Power sockets everywhere and even 2 USB 2.1A ports by every bunk. Amer the manager is so pleasant and obliging. So close to the City and there is a bus stop right outside. The DLR is a very short walk away. Fantastic kitchen facilities to cook food and a very fast and efficient laundry facility is available. £3 for a large load and £1 for 40 minutes drying. Great, friendly staff and there's a cafe and bar.
Good, but unsteady beds and cramped rooms. Good sleeping place, but not a place to stay indoors for any other matter. ”
It was good for the price, and fresh. Although I would have liked to have soap in the bathroom. Bring a sleepcover for your eyes and some earplugs - even though there are rules for quiet time from 10 pm, not everyone takes care and sometimes doesn't turn the lights off, even when people are sleeping and they're going out again. Very rickety beds, sometimes it felt like being at sea when someone moved.
Not a great hostel”
Theft occurring rooms, my can of cider stolen from fridge, police came there on another matter, room always hot as always in the sun, nearly all of my room mates were unhygienic pigs who never seemed to shower( not hostels fault), breakfast not free, even a pound for small coffee No milk, room always stank of sweat . I had to open the door each morning and keep it open to air it out. Under my bottom bunk, years of dust and rubbish, sensor light stays on only about 30 seconds in bathroom. At least the communal area was clean
Staff are so helpful”
Very nice clean facilities. All the staff are so polite and friendly. Amir and Rebecca are really helpful and sweet. A lovely stay.
...just. This place is a little out of the reach of main area of London and access to nearby places to eat and shop is not in walking distance that would be thought comfortable for the first timer tourist etc. It is however, close enough to the city by bus. Bus is usually a good indicator of travel as the buses are more efficient and more regular. This place serves a purpose and I would recommend it if you did not have an closer alternative.
A bit cleaner, you should notify when your about to clean my room
Huge hostel and good amenities ”
I lived here for a month Its a good place with a nice common area
Prefer to have small pin in the room. Also, 12bed is very small to have twelve bed.
I have paid my booking to Agoda, yet the staff insisted me to pay again when on my arrival. The staff seem like don't know who is Agoda. I offered to pay cash and requested the staff not to tender the sales so that he could double confirm and clarify with the management and Agoda, however he refused to accept my suggestion and insisted me to pay full.
