great hotel, location and spa”
I had an excellent stay at the V&A. It has a very nice atmosphere, great food in the waterfront restaurant, fast internet, modern rooms, plus views over the mountain and waterfront if you are on the right side. Best of all is the location on the waterfront near the various free music events, the massive mall and loads of excellent restaurants. I've stayed in around 5 hotels in Cape Town on recent visits and this one is probably now my favourite for the rate. The spa is also worth a visit, though more expensive than others, they are obviously well trained and very professional.
Perfect location amidst Cape Town's waterfront”
although my tenth or so visit to beautiful cape town, this was my stay at the v&a hotel. we chose the v&a this time, because it is perfectly located directly in the waterfront, allowing easy access to cape town's top shopping location and amusement venues. everyone at the hotel was very relaxed and friendly, we felt very much at home. our room, located on the 3rd floor, was huge (aroung 40 sq. metres, i guess) and decorated beautifully. breakfast was good and including fresh oysters every morning, though service was a bit slow.
very nice hotel, good service”

Amazing location and stunning breakfast”
We had an amazing time. Location is superb - right on the waterfront and close to all the shops, restaurants and boat trips. We stayed at the Alfred but the garden and pool at the Victoria was lovely. As an 'Albert' guest you have full access to the Victoria facilities which are feel like an Oasis from the city vibe. Breakfast was stunning. I have never been presented with such a diverse choice of such quality. Oysters and champagne are just 2 examples of what is available. The list is endless - wouldn't be able to fit the list into this box! We ate dinner at the hotel twice during our 5 day stay - excellent food, quality service and tranquil ambience. Would certainly return.
Best hotel”
The view of Table Mountain and the canal is something to experience . It is absolutely wow! The room was very spacious. We had the best service ever received from hotel staff. Lunga, the security guard greeted us on our name every time. Well done to all at the Victoria and Alfred Hotel for making our stay so memorable.
Amazing location”
The water front is an amazing place to stay in Cape Town, staying at the v&a you feel like your right in the heart of everything that's going on. The hotel has some great history, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, arranging trips and tours and flowers in our room for my partners birthday. Had a great few days at the v&a will definitely be returning again soon
Great Location , Nice Hotel ever in CapeTown”
We stayed 3 nights at the hotel in the loft room. It is very valuable for us, nice room and great service surround with panoramic fabulous natural view. Breakfast is very good as well, when you sit to eat your breakfast, you feel the ocean next to you. The hotel is very close to dining & shopping area, just 3 minutes walk to Victoria Wharf. We love it and will be back here again for our next trip to Cape Town for sure.

This is a very central hotel, smack on the Waterfront in Cape Town, that is to a very high standard. When you walk out of the front of the hotel to have your breakfast for the first time it has a real 'wow' factor., with the Table Mountain in the background. We felt very safe here and it was quiet even though it was in the middle of all the excitement. Recommended.
Outstanding Location & Customer Service”
Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the V&A Hotel in the Waterfront. This location cannot be beaten. I would also like to mention their wonderful concierge Wesley Smith who was just wonderful! He was helpful in putting together tourism info, organizing tickets and constantly following up regarding travel info. Just a total pleasure and helping hand. Thanks to the hotel for their great customer service!
So charming!”
The hotel is a 5* hotel located on the V&A waterfront. We spent 3 nights in this hotel during our honeymoon. Our room was very nice and cosy. The hotel offered champaign, fruit and flowers when we arrived. The staff is nice. Breakfast is good.
Lovely hotel with a great charm and friendly staff”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. V&A waterfront area is a great place for shopping, relaxing and close to all a transport. The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the edge of the harbour where "everything is happening"

The V&A is a very nice hotel in a great location on the marina waterfront and with views over the mountain from one side of the hotel. The food and service are also pretty good so I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the place to anybody.

We had a wonderful time a the victoria Alfred Hotel and look forward to a return visit
high end hotel and expensive”
the victoria & alfred hotel is a low rise hotel but a quality hotel. buffet breakfast is served but the food is not extra ordinary. it is right at the waterfront where tourists concentrate.
great hotel, glorious location”
delighted to be back once again at the victoria and alfred.this is defintely one of my most favoured hotels: glorious position in the middle of the fantastic water front, great rooms, wonderful views to table mountain and all around, lots of exciting activities right at your door steps.superb concierge. everything is just right. highly recommended.
Fantastic accom, great views, best buffet breaky.”
Fantastic would deffinately go back. First time in Cape Town and found this waterfront area to be the best. Great food and close to every thing including the commencement of the double decker sightseeing bus. Loft room small but ask for mountain view and you won't regret your stay
Good”
We are regular visitors to the V& A and the city and have stayed at The One and Only, Radisson Red and the Cape Vineyard & Spa hotel (which we absolutely LOVE). The Victoria & Alfred is a good location to stay. They have the best gowns! and agreed to sell me a gown. We ate in the hotel once and the seafood platter tasted great!. We did have an issue with getting into our room twice when the key card did not work. We have different surnames and my husband signed for lunch in ihs name and was thereafter, when asking for assistance to get into the room, treated not very politely and was asked why he signed with a different surname and who he is to his embarrassment - this could have been handled better.
Great location”
After touring South Africa for 2 weeks we were looking for a relaxing time before returning home and found the V&A Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room, food staff, and service were excellent with one of the most extensive breakfast buffets we have seen. The location was superb with easy access to many tours and site seeing options. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great location and good room”
we had a good time at cape town and the location of the hotel was excellent for that. great place around with very good restaurants and shopping mall. close to the hop in and hop off tickets booth.
