    “Satisfaction!”

I was a solo female traveler. Hotels in Hong Kong are really expensive, but the relatively affordable accommodations are located in places like Chungking Mansion and Mirador Mansion nearby. I researched a lot of reviews before making my reservation. There were mixed opinions about the accommodations in this area, but this particular place had outstanding reviews, so I decided to book it. In the end, I was very satisfied. Since I had quite a few concerns about my first trip to Hong Kong regarding accommodation, I hope this detailed review helps other solo travelers. 1. Transport: It's truly the best. As soon as you enter the Mirador Mansion from the main road, there's an elevator on the right side that takes you directly to the 14th floor. You don't have to wander around to find your accommodation inside the mansion! Some reviews mentioned it was a bit scary, but since there are so many lodging facilities in the building, there are always travelers coming and going, so it didn’t feel scary at all. The Tsim Sha Tsui subway station is right in front, making it convenient for traveling, and it was really easy to take a bus along Nathan Road to get around. I just walked straight to the Hing Kee Restaurant that Baek Jong-won visited (about a 20-minute walk). An airport bus also stops right in front of the accommodation, making it convenient to get to the airport! (It takes about an hour). 2. Location: Not only is the transport great, but it's also an excellent location for sightseeing. Just a 5-minute walk out, you can find Kowloon Park, the Avenue of Stars, K11, and the Hong Kong Arts Centre, making it a great place for a stroll both day and night. There are also several must-visit spots for Koreans nearby. Everything is close by. On the second floor of the accommodation building, there's a Jenny Cookie shop, which is convenient for buying gifts before checkout (it opens at 10, but there's a line from 9 amㅠㅠ), and just a 5-minute walk away is the Baked House Tsim Sha Tsui branch, where you can leisurely walk and enjoy coffee and egg tarts in the morning! There's absolutely no need to stand in a long line at the Mid-Levels! Also, just as a reference, there's a Korean Town nearby, with a few Korean restaurants. Although trips to Hong Kong are usually not very long, it would still be convenient for those who want to eat Korean food. 3. Cleanliness: They really keep it clean. From the photos, the wallpaper might look a bit gloomy, which could cause hesitation, but it’s just slightly outdated wallpaper, and it was really clean (I personally liked that wallpaper because it has an old Hong Kong vibe!). The room and bathroom were both very clean, and they provided bathroom slippers, shampoo, body soap, and towels. A shower filter was already installed, so you don’t need to bring yours, and hot water works well when you turn on the hot water switch. There was also a separate bathroom vent installed. Since I stayed for two nights, they cleaned the room on the second day, and I was so impressed by how well they cleaned, even organizing the clutter on the vanity (Thank you, Linda!!). 4. Other facilities: They provided water, so there was no need to buy any. Each room has a fridge, which was sufficient for keeping beer. A microwave and hot water are also available in the accommodation, making it great for heating up cup noodles. There’s air conditioning in the room, so it’s never too hot, and although I didn't check, there is a TV as well. One charging outlet was available that can fit USB. One was not enough for me, so I used my multi-plug to charge multiple devices. 5. Check-in, check-out, and luggage storage: While looking at reviews of other hotels of this kind, I saw some articles mentioning difficulties contacting the owner for check-in and check-out because the hotel owner wasn't on site. However, it seemed like there were always staff present in this accommodation. Check-in and check-out were not difficult at all, and the phone was always answered quickly when I called the accommodation. There is also a luggage storage service. I had an early flight, so they stored my luggage until night after check-out. Nearby the luggage storage area, there was a restroom where you could freshen up and change clothes, making it pleasant to board my flight. 6. Other precautions: I’ve heard that all hotels in Hong Kong have very small rooms. So this cannot be considered a specific downside of this accommodation. Since I stayed alone, it wasn't too inconvenient to open my 26-inch suitcase and move around. Buying a little beer and fruit was also not bothersome. However, for travelers with two or more people, it might be inconvenient. Soundproofing is such that

    “Practical choice ever!”

Victoria Inn is our best decision to stay at HK. With elderlies and 9 y.o. kid with me, I was hesitant at first because of the room size. But considering the easy access to many shops and food, we decided to do so. Thankfully, Sonu and Shiela are very welcoming and attentive to our needs. With free drinking water, coffee and other toiletries, daily cleaning of the room (be ready to always smell the scent of Dettol tho) , hot and cold shower and very nice beddings. I admired the visible signage of Victoria Inn so you will not get lost frok the lift. Night time is safe with many youngsters around. The lift is ok, long line but fast because ileach lift accommodates 4-5 floors only and with CCTV for better security inside the lift. Overall, my parents and kid loved the area and Victoria Inn really deserves the high rating for its consistency to provide a nice and safe place to stay here at TST, HK.

    “Perfect location ”

Location: this place has perfect location! It is near TST Station and along the main road instead of some small alleys. It has two entrances; one is at the main road, one is near the TST Station D1. Atmosphere: This building was built in 1959 according to the owner's son. You get to stay in historic building and soak in the old HK style! Service: Check-in was smooth and easy. They clean up our room every day. It is always clean and neat when we returned. Shower: I wonder why nobody talked about the shower. we went during Spring (temperature 15-20 degrees) and colder at night. We usually took our shower at night when we return back. You have to switch on the heater button and wait for 10-15 min before you take a shower. (we did that) However, the hot shower only LASTED for 5 min then it turn cold. We had to turn the tap off and wait inside the bathroom for a few minutes (in water/soap) then turn on the tap to continue to shower. After 3 minutes, the water turned cold again. So you repeat the above while in your soap/wet body. We highlighted to the staff the 2nd day morning but was told that nobody complained about their heated shower. So 2nd night, after my partner shower for 5min,again, the water turned cold. So we called the reception. when he came, tested it and its hot again. He did offer a common bathroom for us to take a shower. 3rd day morning, mentioned to the lady staff. Instead of empathising, she again, saying nobody complain about their shower heater, as if I told her a lie! I told her to try taking a shower in MY room. She called the guy who offered us another room. We just wanted them to check the heater, not change the room. BTW, we could hear our next door taking shower at 1am! 2nd day morning, we could hear the baby crying at 615am!

“I want to stay at this hotel every time I come to Hong Kong.”

I stayed for 2 nights, and first of all, the location is excellent. It's right in front of the exit of Tsim Sha Tsui station, and the buses to the airport can also drop you off right in front. It is truly located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, making it a perfect spot for traveling around. There is a Jenny Cookies shop in the same building, which was great for buying cookies and dropping off my luggage at the hotel. There’s a Seven-Eleven on the first floor of the building, making it convenient to buy snacks, and there are so many shopping malls around that it was very easy to get around. The hotel room isn't large, but it was comfortable for two people. My suitcase fit under the bed, and the fridge in the room kept food cold very well. There’s a TV in the room that can display YouTube and can be connected to Netflix, which was great. The bathroom is not large, but there was no discomfort while showering. To use hot water, you need to turn on the boiler, but after about 10 minutes, you can take a really hot shower. The air conditioning was not noisy and could be adjusted to a comfortable temperature, and the cleaning was done very well and thoroughly! There is a microwave and a kettle in the hotel hallway. You can heat up food bought from the store and prepare instant noodles there! The hotel owner was also very kind. I left my luggage before check-in, and even after check-in, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel until I headed to the airport, and he responded very kindly! I didn’t see any bugs in the hotel, and it seemed to be run very cleanly. If I visit Hong Kong again, I would definitely use this hotel without hesitation.

    “Great location and best Sam!”

Myself and my kids (age 8/14) had a pleasant stay here. Although we booked Victoria Inn, we were transferred to Sleep Inn which I believe are "sisters" just in a different floor. Special shoutout to Sam who was very helpful to us, everyday keeps our room clean, changes the towels everyday and provide help almost 24/7. When my son was sick I called him up at 5am and he didn't hesitate to offer help. They also provide potable hot water everyday and also has microwave to use. They also have coffee and tea as available.
