Favourite place in VV”
We visit VV a few times a year and have tried about 30 guesthouses and resorts. Since finding this place we only stay here -the bungaliws have a great unobstructed view and it is quiet - no contruction or road noise.
Food you have a 7 items combo instead or 2 things you want to eat
The best thing about this place is the view of the limestone mountains behind the padi fields.
Beautiful view : Ok Breakfast : Internet could have been better”
This hotel is one of the best hotel in Vang Vieng, have a very beautiful view & setting near mountain and the small river, very peaceful perfect for couple. The room are clean except the floor, it felt like they have never been dust or mob. The internet aren't stable, specially at night. The breakfast is basic but acceptable. Overall a great stay.
- Staff rather unfriendly, did not making us feel welcome when checking in - Breakfast options very poor, considering the price of the Bungalow during shoulder season - Staff very unprofessional: We asked for another room and were willing to pay 40$ more for a better bungalow. The receptionist told us to pack the luggage in order to have it brought to the other place. We did so and handed back the key to the receptionist. Heading out of the Hotel, the receptionist followed us (running) annoncing that the kind of bungalow we wanted was not available in the first place. So we had to unpack our stuff again.
The view in the paddy fields is exceptional. ”
The breakfast is just as it has been in every other guesthouse in Laos, so you have eggs and juice and fresh fruits plus coffee or tea. Just what you need to start the day. The bungalows are rustic, it is OK for a price of less than 50usd. Paying more is overrated. The view in the paddy fields are juste exceptional and worth the visit at sunset specially. The room was big and quiet and clean.
Very nice setting”
We have stayed in about 30 different places in vang vieng over the years but this was the best - a mountain view bungalow, set on stilts over a rice paddy. You cant see any other buildings from your deck, very peaceful. Only critisism is that for $100 the breakfasts were poor - low quality fried hotdog and cheap ham.
This price for mountain view”
Just normal hotel with wonderful mountain view. Staff was helpful and friendly. Shuttle bus from city to hotel every half and hour. I was in bungalow room that quite old and not worth for the price. Breakfast you can pick only one thing in menu. If you love to take a photo of hotel is okay but if it not I literally not recommend this place.
It’s far from the the city about 3-4 km. Nice view, nice staff. The hotel has a shuttle bus for customer, the timeable pick up is 0600-2100. Breakfast is not the buffet, the customer have to choose one manu, another is charged. However, overall is good.
Quite location ”
+ Nice room, Awesome rice field view, Location motorcycle beside the hotel, Quite location next to the city - Breakfast limited to a menu choice, no buffet and no fresh orange juice, Restaurant not attractive for Dinner, No bar
Vieng Tara Villa”
Stayed here 12 December - 14 Dec 2018 Their rice fields are definitely their signature. The view from the lobby t the rice fields is very picturesque and the rooms are gorgeous. Service could be better. For example, I asked the front desk to request a tuk-tuk driver to bring me into town. I was told it was going to be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later the driver never showed. The hotel did take me into town with their own vehicle. My issue is that the girl at the front desk seemed annoyed the next day when I asked her if the same problem would happen when I needed to be taken to the bus station. If it happened once, why wouldn't it happen again? The restaurant breakfast was very filling and I was waited on instead of having to do my own buffet scavenging. I had a pleasant stay.
Lovely staff and a beautiful view”
We visited in April, which was during their New Year's. The hotel is in a beautiful location with gorgeous views all around. While we were there, there was a large wind/rain storm and the restaurant blew down. The staff did not miss a beat. They took us to a local spot in the morning for delicious breakfast on the hotel. Other than that, I cannot comment on the food since we did not eat at the hotel. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the town and their is a toll (50cents) if you walk over the bridge on your own, however there is a free hotel shuttle anytime that you would like. I think they will also bring you back if you set it up, however we just chose to walk back on our own. It is a serene place. If you travel in April, be aware there is a huge concert set up in the river RIGHT next to the hotel for the New Year, so be prepared for music until late into the night. However, I image any other time of year, it is quite peaceful. I would love to stay here again!
Memorable Family Trip ”
This resort is as beautiful as the photos. The rooms are very clean & nice although 2 rooms complianted no hot water & low pressure. The food is excellent so we decided to have all 3 meals at hotel. Although resort is not at town center but it provides free shuttle service. The town is very small & not much things to do at night other the small night market. After the outdoor activities in the day, it is best to relex at this beautiful resort.
Good resort with million dollars view”
Stay in Villa or bungalow type as they are stand-alone units. The superior rooms are in the wooden house and each room connects to other rooms so that means your can hear guests next door talking or even when they walk you can the floor squeaking. The breakfast is good. There are 4 choices of a-la-carte breakfast in which you can order until you are full. The best feature here is the stunning view.
Highly recommended, great service by staff ”
The villa is unqiue on its own, we had the villa just above the paddy field and view of the mountains is spectacular especially in the morning. Staff are friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast served, a very pleasant stay at the villa. Crossing the bridge to the city was not an issue to us and we actually enjoyed the ride.
Nature beauty right at your doorstep”
Get the paddy field villa. There are 8 units, you have to be quick to secure the paddy fields villa. There is a free tuk tuk service from the hotel to and back from town. If you arrive at the bus station (Malany) let the person in charge knows where you are staying. Vieng Tara will arrange free transport to the hotel within 10 mins or so. Another highlight of this property is the restaurant. They have amazing cook that prepares every dish to its best. We were very satisfied with the dinner we had, all the dishes we excellent. Do try Laos specialty 'Or Lamm' is a peppery soup with a distinct fragrant from local herbs. We were lucky and just arrived on time to see the locals harvesting paddy, it was an amazing experience chatting with the local (even though i cannot fully understood them). I would visit Vang Vieng and stay here again.
Great place in Vangvieng”
Vieng Tara Villa is the hotel where I really recommend. You will see the greatest view in Vangvieng. The room which I booked is villa with paddle fields. The room has necessary amenities e.g. Hair dryer, towel, bathrobe etc. In addition, it's easy to go to the center of vangvieng. Because the hotel has free shuttle Tuktuk service on your period stay since 9 am - 9.30 pm., you can inform the staff to drop you for traveling in center of vangvieng and call them to pick you up. For the breakfast, it's also delicious and has various menu. Please trust me that you will not regret to spend your time here!
Best view of the mountains”
We booked a Villa Paddy room and we love the scenic view. However, we were not informed that each time we would enter the bridge going to the hotel, we will be required to pay a fee depending on what mode you come in (walking, biking, or by car).
Fantastic views from paddy view room ”
You should try and request room V8. This has by far the best uninterrupted views, just stunning, when we where there lush green paddy fields surrounded the villas.and you have amazing views of the very impressive mountains, definitely the best view of any hotel over our 2 months traveling, super comfy beds and whisper quiet air conditioning ,a slight downside is the Asian music curse which is the dull base of one or two of the sound systems drifting in the wind from the town. This is over all Asia ,so not the hotels fault , but don't forget your earplugs, unless of course you like power ballads at 1am ,or techno music,.! The breakfast is very nice, top tip order one thing at a time, eat it then order the next thing on the menu. Or it all comes at once. We found the reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful. But didn't stop us from loving this hotel. But don't stay here unless you go for the paddy field views . They are the best rooms. They will pick you up for free from the main town, so take their phone number. Also turn left out of the hotel to walk along the river to the free bridge, the one connected to the hotel is a dollar a time.
It has such a breathtaking sight. It's not too far from the centre of town, and you can't find any places like this there. We use the different bridge (The small one on the left), so we don't need to pay to cross the river. If the hotel equiped the internet for river-side rooms, I would mark them 10/10.
