Great value”

I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and the room nice and clean. It's just a short walk from the markets and restaurants down by the river, so the location is great. We stayed on the top floor, and while we could hear a bit of music from outside, it wasn't really enough to be bothersome, even though I'm really sensitive to noise at night. The only other negative thing was that the room began to smell like food in the morning when the staff started to cook breakfast. Other than that, it was great, and I will definitely consider it the next time I visit Vientiane.

Very good value”

Considering its price (around $25), this is a very good choice. I stayed in a deluxe double room with balcony. Some positives: comfortable bed (soft), large room with plenty of places to sit - 2 chairs and 2 stools (although none were particularly comfortable), a wardrobe, small frig, and an excellent gym for a hotel (lots of free weights/upper body equipment, 2 treadmills, etc). There is also a pool on the 2nd floor (covered) but it didn't look that appealing. Cons: not in the center of town, but close enough (5 minute walk away); breakfast is not very good (but totally fine based on cost of room); power shuts off when you leave the room so you can't charge devices, or keep frig cool when gone. The room was relatively clean but may not meet the standards of some (cobwebs above the curtains - hard to reach I'm sure for the cleaning crew). Overall, I was happy with my stay, and I would recommend it for those that are wanting good value, especially for those wanting a gym.

Beautiful colonial style room with faint poo smelling bathroom”

But literally EVERY hotel bathroom in the country smells like sewage. At least the 10 or 12 that I've tried. This one was not too stinky compared to others. I have a nose like a dog so you may not even notice the poo smell. The bathroom was very clean. It's just that they don't do plumbing right in Laos for whatever reason. I suspect they link the toilet plumbing to the shower drain improperly somehow. Anyway, I still recommend this hotel because other hotels in this price range will a stronger diarrhea smell than this one. When is he going to stop talking about poo? The reception was a polite Indian lady. Helpful staff. The gym is actually pretty good, with decent weight training equipment. The aircon in the gym was on when I had a look. But when I went to work out, the AC was off, and no apparent way to turn it on. A Caucasian man cannot workout in a hot and stuffy room like that without dying. Anyway, a good excuse to skip leg day. I did't bother asking for help.

Exceptional”

This is a 3 star hotel that has probably seen better days but is a reasonable price. The rooms however may have been recently renovated as they are clean and spacious and of a good standard. The bed was big and very comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast was just ok although varied and eggs could be ordred to one’s preference. The location is away from the riverfront area but still within walking distance. I chose this hotel because it has a well equipped gym and I was pleased that it was pretty decent! The only thing missing was a squat rack but you can compromise. The equipment was good and not knackered! with barbells up to max 45kg and plates up to 25kg. Two running machines and bike are available for cardio. There is a p

Good Hotel but not really in the center”

I am arrived in the morning and the staff said that i have to wait (no early check in) after waiting an hour finally staff told me that the room is ready, thats very kind of them especially the staff name Miss Amy. I should say the hotel is clean and tidy. Not really in the city center but you can reach the tourism spot easily. Rent a bike would be better compare to Tuk Tuk which was really expensive.

Satisfying Stay in Vientiane”

The location is good, finding hotel and down town. There is Mekong river side park, 10 to 15 minuite by foot, both side in this way there are many hotels, all of restaurants, currency exchange, and even night market. In the river side park, Fantastic sunset landscape can be found in the night about 6 to 7 pm. In this time Laos peaple dance aerobics. We found thier bright futur in the faces and dynamic dance. PS: Beer price in mini bar is cheapest in the world, $1.5 /big glass bottle.

Clean room with outstanding staff”

A new hotel located at a quiet street, within walking distance to the riverfront. It is a new hotel and construction is still in progress, though it did not disturb our stay at all. Staff were absolutely lovely, very helpful and polite. Room was comfortable. The only downside is there seems to be some ventilation issue in the room that we were assigned. Every morning, cooking smell from the kitchen actually sipped into the room! Overall, good price-quality and will stay again.

Overall we had an enjoyful stay at this hotel. Despite the negative reviews, we found no communication issue with the Hotel Receptions/Staffs. The only small issue is that the water at indoor swimming pool is too cold for us to swim there.

One of the top 5 hotels in this range in Vientiane”

A new hotel in 2017-2018 which has a great gym. The room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was very good. The location was central to everything you could want, although you have to walk 5 minutes before getting anywhere such as Joma cafe. Although I didn't use it, the gym looked very good, very nice equipment. The hotel needs a lot of improvement on the breakfast, it was the worst I have ever had in 9 years of living and traveling in Asia.

Best room booked with breakfast by 8:00am food all gone they don’t replenish.”

If your looking for a cheap stay this place is for you. Those who have stayed in five star hotel I don’t recommend this. I book a corner suite one king bed with balcony with breakfast. 8:00 am breakfast is all gone not even an egg left. Those who are use to 5 star hotels I don’t recommend. Those who love to fight for food this is for you. Room is ok for price. Breakfast time is like a refugee camp. Japanese and Vietnamese guest wake up early to fight for food.

Vientiane Basic Hotel”

Luxury is more than a stretch when it comes to this hotel, but overall it was an OK stay. The room was fairly spacious, but the shower had about a year's worth of limescale covering the glass which I asked to be cleaned when I checked in, however that didn't happen. The drain in the bathroom also constantly smelt. Breakfast was basic with limited selection and the dishes did not get replenished regularly (I think there was only one member of staff serving, cooking a la carte eggs and cooking the dishes for the buffet all at the same time which was fairly impressive on her part, but the hotel should really have employed someone else or made the management help out as they were sat around doing nothing). The gym was actually very well equipped for a hotel gym, however there wasn't even a fan in there, let alone air conditioning and working out in 35C heat was uncomfortable to say the least. Overall, an average stay, but don't expect luxury from this hotel.
