Wonderful three-night stay”
I had a fantastic three-night stay at Viet's Family River Homestay. The family that runs the homestay is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and the rooms are large, modern, and airy. The bed was probably the most comfortable one I slept on during my two-week Vietnam trip. The building itself is located about 1.5km from the Ancient Town, on quiet Cam Nam Island. The front balcony overlooks the river – it's a calm and relaxing place to read a book. The homestay offers free bike rentals, so it's easy to get into town, and the location feels much more authentic than the heart of the town. While walking home one night, for instance, some locals invited me to join them to sing karaoke. I also rented a motorbike through the homestay, and arranged an airport transfer, both of which were good value. Highly recommended!

First class treatment + local knowledge”
We chose viet homestay based on its high review score. I would still go as far as saying it is underatted and deserves a 10. Arriving much earlier than check in we were greeted by a warm face who took us under his wing and made us feel at home. From advise to booking tours over the phone, mapping out the town, showing us the best money exchange locations and tailor shops our stay was effortless. Vietnam is ment to be enjoyed immersed in the culture a real experience is found here and not in an overpriced 5 star hotel. Staying here means you will be at least about a 10 minute walk from the centre or 5 mins using the complimentry bicycles. If that seems to far for you please go full viet and hire a scooter for the duration of your stay. Trust me you will look forward to returning each night to your peaceful riverside home :) Hopefully see again soon Viet homestay.

great stay with this lovely family”
My boyfriend and I stayed in Vietsfamily homestay for 4 nights and we loved it! The room is Nice, spacious and clean and the bed is soft. it's a few kilometers from the city center but they provide free bicycles which will bring you into town in 10 minutes. We rented a moterbike at the homestay so then the distance doesn't matter at all. Around the hotel are no restaurants so we had to get into town for lunch and diner. But only on the days that we weren't invited to eat with the family, which was Two times in 4 days!! The whole family is so incredebly nice they always try to help. They even picked us up from the busstop at 5am. We had so many interesting conversations with them and learnt a lot about the Vietnamese culture. Especially because we were here during Vietnamese New year (TET). They took us into the city, showed us around and we watched the fireworks together. Like I said before, we were even invited Two times to have diner and drink with the family. Thank you so much for everything, if we ever come back to Hoi An, we'll definitele come back to you!

A great place to stay for any type of traveller”
The homestay was the best I've come across. It is a great place to stay! It's in a quiet area where there are no other hotels but it's not far from the old quarter and the beach is about 10-15 minutes on the motorbike. The genuine, warm and easy going family is what makes this place so great to stay. Whether you fancy getting sloshed all night or having dinner with them and going to bed early, they don't mind as long as you're having a good time. They treated us to a delicious dinner. I don't know how this place isn't full all the time! I guess it just opened but soon it will be very hard to get a room if they keep up their standards. Also, the bikes are free and you can bring them back whenever. I don't know any place in Hoi An that gives you a free bike. The family will recommend the "24H" tailor but it is good and you can get a good deal and my friend and I are happy with our gear. The one thing that was annoying was trying to find this place. It's about a 1.5km farther down than it's located on the Agoda map.

We stayed only one night at Viets Family River Homestay, which was a real shame as we didn't want to leave (they had other prior bookings!). We arrived a lot earlier than the standard check-in time as we had caught an overnight bus into Hoi An. We were so tired we thought we'd take the chance of turning up early (around 10am) in hopes that the room was available. Sure enough it was and we were immediately welcomed in by several smiling family members. The room was lovely - big, bright, spacious with a really comfortable bed and modern private bathroom. When getting us settled into our room, Tuan, the manager (cousin), invited us and the other guests to join in the family celebration that was taking place later that morning, and even though my husband and I could have gone straight to bed instead, we were so glad we didn't! It was a great experience :) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Free bike rentals a great add-on as it's about a 5-10min ride into the Old Town. Yummy breakfast too!

Superb 100% recommended”
By far the best accommodation that we stayed at in Vietnam. Would highly recommend Viet family Homestay to all travellers. Extremely comfortable and spacious rooms with huge comfy beds and flat screen TVs, large bathrooms and delicious breakfast. Free bikes also to explore the city with or visit the beach. The family are so friendly and kind and will help you with everything you need from organising tours to posting packages internationally. We stayed four nights here abd loved every minute of it. What an amazing week and an Amazing Christmas”
We loved every minute, the hotel is a short bike ride from town but this was so perfect and so much more local. The tang family at vietfamily homestay are some of the most beautiful people we have ever met, and after being abused by rude locals in vietnam for 3 weeks it was a welcome relief, we really felt like part of the family. They threw a great christmas party, the cooked wonderful food and helped us with so much. The rooms are spacious, new, comfortable and modern as any 3 star hotel. We seriously could not reccommend this place any more highly. WE LOVE YOU FAMILY TANG, thanks for making our trip to Hoi An

The best stay ever !!! ”
This was the first time I stayed in this Homestay but it will not the last time. If I go to Hoi An I will always stay in this homestay. It is the most wonderfull homestay i ever got. I felt a member of the vietnamese family adn i have found friends for ever. I will never forget this family who is so nice you can not imagine. We had a birthday party with the family who was awesome. I had the nicest cooking class i could imagine and tried already to cook vietnamese food at home with succes. I love you guys and wisll never forget you!!!!!!!

Simply Amazing”
When we arrived, my girlfriend was feeling extremely sick and in quite a bit of pain. Each and every member of the family that was on hand though jumped to action and helped remedy the situation better than most emergency teams, even driving me as quick as possible to the closest pharmacy. That set the tone for our five night stay. The family is incredible, go out of their way to help you in any way possible, and have beautiful rooms for the little downtime you'll have in Hoi An. We were lucky enough to stay with the family long enough to form some pretty strong friendships with them too, having gone out for dinner and coffee on a multiple occasions. They also have free bicycle rentals, making the commute to town much more enjoyable and easy (the bikes were a game changer for us). I wish this testimonial did this place justice, they really truly have established a great place to stay in Hoi An.

Insanely Awesome stay”
I am sorry for the late review, but I became busy with work. If you are visiting Hoi An, this is the place to stay! Mr. Sky is really really helpful. He gave us cycles to roam around Hoi An and bikes to visit Hai Van pass and Da Nang. He served us breakfast, introduced us to his family and even offered us cigarettes. :) And it is totally worth the value for money. Mr. Sky, I think you should be increasing your prices. :) In my entire Vietnam trip, this stay was by far the best. :D

Perfect in every aspect - Absolutely Recommended!”
VietFamily was the best accommodation we had stayed in Vietnam. During our 3-night stay, we had a dinner party together with tons of local dishes. It was the best meal in our trip! The breakfast was great as well. You can choose ABF or local ones. The room was large, clean and comfy. The staff were very friendly and had great service mind. We felt like we were a part of their family. They can help you plan your trip, recommend shopping places, and especially, book an airport taxi. We got a Chev Cruze as our taxi with the great fare (feeling like riding in the limousine). Trust me, I recommend you to contact the hotel to pick you up at the airport instead of fighting with the local taxi. Also, you can borrow their bikes for free or ask for motorbike rental to travel around the city which is just 10 mins far from the hotel. All in all, we totally recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to stay in Hoi An.

Feels like home!”
We enjoyed our stay at viet's Family homestay a lot and stayed 3 nights longer than expected. :) his Family are very friendly and caring, it really feels like you are a part of the family! Nice Breakfast (Cao Lao, coffee and a lot of fruits, yummy!), cheap Laundry service and free Bikes to Drive to the town! also is a good Tourist guide w a lot of useful advices and adresses of tailors, restaurants etc. They also offer a free pick up from the bus station of you need it. Our room was very clean and Nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a hot shower. What else do you want? Eventhough its located a bit Outside of the City Center, we didn't feel it as a disadvantage, as its nice to take the Bikes along the river to the Center. (10 min) Definitely worth the money and the best place we stay at in Vietnam! Highly recommended!

This homestay is really amazing!!! The family is great, so friendly and sweet. One evening they cooked an amazing meal and we ate with the family. The rooms are huge, very clean and beautiful. The bed is also great! By bike you are in Hoi An town within 5 minutes. I really recommend this place!

Absolute gem!”
VietFamily homestay was outstanding! Budget prices, luxury accommodations, excellent service , great food, free bicycles, help with city navigation and points of interest. We called ahead for pick up from the bus station and when we arrived they were there with a sign. Right off the bat it felt like we were a part of the family. Their English was great, the home was the best accommodations we had in the whole of Vietnam. It is a bit off the beaten path on the peninsula, so it's quiet and charming but close enough to city to enjoy the free bikes they provide. I have zero complaints and recommend this homestay to all travelers, families, friends, or solo adventurers!

Our stay in Viets was great. He is the best host we had and did everything (and even more) that we asked him for. The rooms are big and very clean. Too bad that we only had booked it for 3 nights as it was full then and we wanted to stay longer. Next time in Hoi An, we definitely come back here!

A wonderful experience”
we really enjoyed our time at vietfamily homestay. the staff make you feel so welcome and comfortable. they are very friendly and make the effort to converse with you. most of the staff speak pretty good english and the rest are learning but try very hard to make sure that you are always happy. the room was clean and modern with good wifi and a nice view. you must be able to ride a bicycle or drive a moped to stay at this homestay as it is not very close to all the shops and restaurants in town. it took about 5 minutes for us to drive in to town so we didn't feel cut off. the staff arranged the hire of a moped for the duration of our stay and we quite liked being out the way on the quieter side of town. on one evening the staff cooked a meal (more like a banquet) for all the guests and we all sat together and chatted for the evening. the food was delicious and it was free! the only things they could do to improve the homestay would be to provide a bath mat, a corner shelf in the shower and perhaps put tea and coffee making facilities in each room. although i'm sure if we'd asked the staff for a coffee they would have made us one at any time of day, but it is nice to have the facilities in your room.

A lovely stay in this homestay”
I was warmly welcomed into the homestay. Since the first room was slightly mouldy (not bad, but I'm allergic) I could move to another, really beautiful and comfy room. They seemed to feel honestly bad about the room, which really wasn't necessary. The family is really nice and does everything to make the guests comfortable. Including getting up extra early for me when I had to leave at 4 am to catch my plane, and preparing a breakfast I could take with me. It is a bit outside the old town, but since they offer you to use their bikes fir free, that is more a perk than a downside: it's very quiet in the night. Even the beaches are easily reachable by bike. I enjoyed my stay there very much, snd was really sad to leave. I can definitely recommend their homestay! :)

Great Homestay. Best Host you can get”
From the very begining we felt really welcomed. We stayed 2 nights at Tuan's house and would have liked to stay longer but sadly the rooms were fully booked. Tuan is so nice and helpful. He even brought us sth we forgot at his house to our new accomodation which was quite far away. Thanks for that again! The house is situated at the river just a 5-10 minutes ride from the ancient town with the free bicycle he offers. Its a very calm place in a nice neighbourhood. We definetly recommend this Homestay!!!

Best stay in Vietnam so far”
3 weeks in Vietnam, this is by far our best stay so far. The room was big, clean and comfy. The manager was there 24/7 to help and actively asked us if there's anything we'd need. The breakfast was prepared on the spot, including fresh fruit. The hotel is not centrally located, but it's 10' bicycle ride. Oh yeah, they also provide bicycles for free. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Hoi An, eyes closed.

This home stay has not been open long, once a few more people find out about it you wont be able to get in. they have bikes to loan to ride into town, about 10 minute bike ride.they even loaned us there moped to pick up a few things. Fantastic family highly recommended.Will stay again if i travel back to Hoi An.
