Yes, the resort in Hin Wong Bay is far from all the activities suck as restaurants etc but you’ll experience what is great about Koh Tao: amazing snorkeling spot, quiet, beautiful landscape ... The resort itself is everything you need, clean, WiFi is perfect, great staff.

Very unwelcoming. I was made to feel uncomfortable and an inconvenience. Don’t bother going there! ”
Staff were rude. They didn’t even know I was coming. I was the only booking they had. They wanted to know at 4 pm what time I wanted dinner even though the kitchen was open til 8 pm I was pressured into hurrying as they wanted to close the restaurant. No taxi out as stated twice a day but no longer running it. They packed all the chairs onto the tables in the restaurant at 5 pm and made me feel in welcomed. My partner has previously stayed here 3 times before and he said it has changed so much and it’s disgusting that they were so rude and unwelcoming and he will never stay here again!

Staff really Kind. You have to be healty and ready to go Up and down the Rocky Stairs. On the lunch Time, there is groups of tourist who come to eat. The food is really good. Beautifull view. I will always remember my Time at view rock! Thank you

Awesome stay”
It is a very remote and chilled place. Great snorkeling spot! Bungalows are basic but have a breathtaking sea view. It is very quiet and a good place for couples and family. The food could be better but we would definitely recommend this place.

Remote and impractical ”
Resort is difficult to get to, 500 baht taxi over hilly and rough terrain- far from the main town. Upon arrival there are steep rock steps to manoeuvre down which is particularly difficult with heavy bags- we managed with heavy backpacks but would be tough with suitcases. There is a standard restaurant which has wifi, but no wifi in the rooms and no electricity during the day only at night (which also means no aircon in the day). Cabins are basic but clean. We decided not to stay because of the poor location and power situation. Only good things are staff are helpful and friendly and the views are lovely- but the resort is very cut off and not very accessible.

A far away paradise ”
The location is a little inconvenient to travel to. The drive from the main pier and the walk to the bungalow was really steep at times. However, when you reach your bungalow, the views are amazing, the staff are polite and helpful and the restaurant is great. We tried snorkelling when we were there which was fantastic. Great place, just a shame it's so far out from the main part of Koh Tao.

Great value limited facilities ”
Great place for couples, awesome swimming, canoeing, snorkelling simply beautiful! Great food! Very reasonably priced BUT: Power available only between 8pm and 6am! No time for 'inroom' activities! Way too hot! Very steep location! Not suitable for elderly or very young! Significant distance from other areas so you are a captive audience!

Un bon séjour avec du personnel agréable mais loin de tout”
Parlons des points positifs : - les bungalows sont propres - le personnel est toujours là pour répondre à n'importe quelle question et à aider en cas de problème - la vue est belle - possibilité d'aller faire du snorkelling - possibilité de louer un yacht Pour les points négatifs: - il y a énormément de marche à monter et descendre tous les jours pour aller au restaurant ou sortir - il n'y a pas beaucoup de possibilité pour quitter les bungalows (la route est pentue et longue), il n'y a que deux aller-retour pour aller sur le port (un part de l'hôtel à 8h30, l'autre à 13h30) Pour les retours du port le dernier retour est à 16h donc on ne peut pas voir le coucher de soleil Chaque aller ou retour coute 100B par personne Pour revenir après 16h, des retours sont proposés à partir de 400B.

Die Bungalowanlage liegt etwas abgelegen direkt an der Bucht zum Schnorcheln und Schwimmen sehr gut geeignet allerdings kommt man in den Ort nur mit den kostenpflichtigen Shuttle-Service oder zu Fuß was weniger zu empfehlen wär. Dafür gibt es in der Anlage ein Restaurant mit großer Karte man kann Tickets oder Touren buchen Tauchen lernen usw. . Die Ausstattung der Bungalows ist eher einfach es gibt einen Ventilator im Zimmer und ein Moskitonetz auser dem Bett gab es nur noch auf der Terrasse zwei Stühle und einen Tisch.

View Rock Resort liegt an einem steilen Hang mit Bungalows verschiedener Größe. Alle mit Blick aufs Meer. Direkter Einstieg ins Meer. Gutes Schnorchelrevier. Kein Strand. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Schöne Lage sehr vermüllt”
Das resort liegt sehr abgelegen und ist nur schwer zu erreichen. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit gewesen. Die Aussicht ist grandios. Leider liegt vor allem am Meer sehr viel Müll und auch im Wasser schwimmt sehr viel. Teilweise sind Abschnitte baufällig. Schnorchel ist durch den Müll nicht möglich. Es gibt keinen kostenlosen transfer wie in der Beschreibung beschrieben. 2 mal am Tag fährt ein Resort eigenes Taxi nach Mae Haad. Einfache fährt 100B/Person. Ist mit dem Roller auch zu erreichen.

Perfekt, wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht”
Einfache, aber sehr liebevoll gestaltete und gepflegte Anlage, die sehr abgelegen und nur mit Allradauto über abenteuerliche Wege erreichbar ist. Bungalows haben allesamt Blick auf's Meer. Es gibt keinen Strand, aber eine Sonnenterrasse und ein kleines Restaurant mit großer Auswahl. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger großer negativpunkt: die Anlage an sich ist zwar sehr sauber, aber das Meer ist leider sehr vermüllt. Das liegt wohl daran, dass die Anlage am Ende einer Bucht liegt und der ganze Dreck vom Meer dort angespült wird. Das war so, dass man da gar nicht mehr ins Wasser wollte. Sehr schade, da an und für sich die bucht voller korallen und bunter fische ist. Wir mieteten uns kajaken und paddelten zu sauberen Bereichen der bucht.

Ziemlich ab vom schuss”
Wir hatten fünf Tage im viewrock gebucht. Der Pick-up klappte gut. Die abgeschiedene Lage ist bei gutem Wetter bestimmt ein Pluspunkte, wir hatten aber aufgrund der jahresspezifischen Strömunglage einen riesigen Müllteppich in der Bucht. Baden und schnorcheln unmöglich, wenn man nicht umringt von Plastiktüten,-flaschen,... schwimmen wollte. Für jede Leistung, sogar heißes Wasser muss man bezahlen. Auch alle weiteren Stadtfahrten (insgesamt nur 2 täglich) sind kostenpflichtig, was angesichts der abgeschiedenen Lage, schrecklicher Straßeverhältnisse die nur für geübte Mopedfahrer geeignet sind, schnell ins Geld geht. Zumal das Auto täglich sowie so fährt um Einkäufe und neuankommende Gäste zu befördern. Personal war freundlich und bemüht sprach aber wenig Englisch. Essen sehr teuer und nicht besonders lecker. Zimmer und Mülleimer wurden in der ganzen Zeit nicht gereinigt.

Stupendo luogo per lo snoorkeling”
Location immersa nel verde sperduta in una baia bellissima in cui vanno le gite organizzate dai tour. Per chi piace la natura e il relax consiglio! Per chi non si adatta ad avere la corrente elettrica solo dalle 18 alle 6 meglio non avventurarsi..ah dimenticavo non c'è la doccia con acqua calda!

Zeer steil terrein met veel trappen, vraag om een bungalow die zo laag mogelijk ligt. Uitzicht en snorkelen geweldig, eten is heel erg goed, vriendelijk personeel!
