Compared to other hotels on the area, hotel ergo is a bit cheaper. It is few km away from Crisologo Street, the main area for tourists. The staffs are accommodating and the room is spacious. But I would suggest to put rugs on the floor, especially in front of the toilet to avoid making the floor wet. Also, they should ensure that the water heater is functioning, it should be a must specially for their guests with children. Our stay should have been more enjoyable if we did not encounter those two items.

    Not Good Experience”
I ask for a non smoking room but when we arive at the hotel, the room smell like the someone is smoking inside it. Wala pang kusang nglilinis ng room kelangan pang tawagin. Overall I give this room 1star only.

The room they gave us first did not have any window. We had to ask to move us to a room with a view. However, the window was so high that only sunlight is beneficial but cannot view the outside. The tiles in the bathroom are so slippery. I had an accident and hurt my right elbow when we tested the shower, it spilled water and I slipped when I moved. Poor bathroom design. We had to put cloth to keep the floors dry so we won't have another accident in there.

    Very good”
On our first night I did get to my sleep comfortably because I got scared of the noise I heard so I was looking where its coming from . I found out its from 2pcs flapping aircon panel so I inserted a tissue to be quiet..... ughhg szzzz.... The supermarket access to the hotel is a bright idea however seeing the over stocked display is a sore in the eye so I would recommend smoked glass enclosure around the escalators.Thank you

    Could be better!”
Stayed overnight. Booked the family room. Entrance to "hotel lobby" is in the basement. Take elevator (need hotel staff to operate it) to 5th floor. We had 6single comfy beds. Average size bathroom. Complete with 6bottle water, instant coffee and electric kettle. Fast checked in and very fast checked out. The building where its located have a grocery store/ small mall. Good 20mins walk to Calle Crisologo.

    SATISFACTORY”
Affordable accommodation, very convenient location especially to land travellers, cleanliness is satisfactory yet can be improved by staff initiative of routine room servicing. Staff are very accommodating but needs to observe silence in the afternoon and night. Common area should be well ventilated at all time, if possible consider to have it's aircon centralized.

A nice place to rest overnight”
We booked in the hotel as part of our ilocos family trip. So vigan will be our first and last stop before we end our trip. The place is generally nice and liveable compared to what was written on the previous reviews. Pros: 1. The staff were friendly 2. The facilities are generally fine 3. The location of the hotel is well situated, (just in front of the market) 4. Parking is secured. 5. Walking distance to partas bus terminal Cons: 1. No stairs 2. The wall between rooms is made up of marine plywood, so you could hear the convo of the other room, (therefore, they could hear you too the same way) 3. No intercom Basically, the hotel is a good place to rest overnight.

    Don't stay there!!!”
Agoda should have checked this hotel out before putting this on its site. Access is through the underground car park or travel 4 floors on escalators through the department store that is below the 2 floors of the hotel. The escalators come to the 5th floor so anyone could travel up to the hotel. Reception and security are young girls who play loud music & 'fool' around loudly. The housekeeper/cleaner did not lock our door leaving our room vulnerable. At night the escalators of the below floors are lined up with fire extinguishers, not at all comforting. The hotel is near the market & the smell is atrocious. If you go to Vigan stay in the old part of town, there are no restaurants worth eating at around Ergo hotel. We paid through Agoda for 3 nights & only stayed 2 nights. Disgusting hotel! Oh, and bathrooms stink of sewer!
