Close to the beach”
If you arent looking for fancy stay and just wanted to be at the beach in a jiffy without the noise of the bars, this is the perfect choice. It was easily accessible via tricycle and you can get to the beach on foot, without hassle.

Not bad. Good pinoy breakfast! Altho the streets in the area were muddy at that time since it was raining. Not sure if the roads are fixed now.

Good for family travelling on a budget”
If you're looking for a modest room for a stay then go for this. Location is just a few meters a way from the beach. Staffs are friendly too!

Only recommend if you're on a tight budget”
The room is very humble. The blanket is think like paper so I had to use my towel to cover myself when sleeping. It's quite close to the beach, although you have to walk though another hotel, but the guard didn't stop me so I guess it should be fine. The road in front is super rough and muddy so tricycle drivers might refuse to take you to the door. And it's really tragic in rainy days. But the staffs are quite friendly and helpful. When you think about the price you paid, you'll feel fine!

Clean accommodation, friendly staff”
We stayed in Villa Almedilla for 4 days. It was our 1st time in Bohol. The room we stayed in was located at the 2nd floor. The room was very clean & spacious. No problems with the water supply. A/C was very good. You can request for hot water (for coffee/tea) anytime, just ask the staff & they'll deliver it to your room. They also provide fresh towels & clean the rooms everyday. We availed Villa Almedilla's choco tour. Our tour was courtesy of Kuya Esmer. He was very nice. Too bad it was raining during our tour but even though the weather was bad, the tour was great. Bohol bee farm was not included in the Choco tour, but when we asked to just skip the hanging bridge so we could visit the farm, it was very nice of him to grant our request. Location-wise, the place was 1-2 minutes away from the beach. The alley going to the main beach was not so nice. It was dark & needs serious improvement. This is the only problem with Villa Almedilla, in my opinion. But overall, very accommodating staff, cheaper compared to other hotels in the area, their packages (tour, airport transfer) are also cheap (you can haggle with the fee, just ask the staff), worth every cent.

Exceptional”
We enjoyed our stat at villa almedilla. The room have a cabled tv and also a hot and cold shower wich is really an essential when you have a baby with you. The location is in a residential part wich is good if you want a quiter place away from the busy alona beach. When going to the beach it will only take you 2 to 3 min. You would pass thru some houses and there is a stairs going down to alona beach. There is a room for improvement when it comes to breakfast. More variety will be nice. The staffs are really nice and accomodating. They have a generator incase of brownout. Internet connection is superb! All in all we had a great experience. We enjoyed our bohol trip.

In my top two for the Philippines!”
Great location. 3 to 5 min walk to the beach. It is just past the end of the beach road up the hill. Small place with 11 rooms and all the personal attention you might want. Your taxi or three-wheeler will know how to get there by road. It is neat, well maintained and everything worked as expected. Rooms are air-conditioned, comfortable with both a desk, two chairs and a closet for clothes. Outside is a small table and two chairs for those who like the Philippine weather. For those who need WiFi, you will be delighted. I stayed in room 4 and had great in-room connection. This is the only budget hotel I have stayed in in the last 10 years with twice a year visits that actually had a good in-room WiFi connection. They will change money for you at a good rate. They also sell water and of course San Miguel beer. I will make Villa Almedilla my go-to place for Alona Beach. Stayed: November 2017, traveled solo https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserR

Excellent”
Villa almedilla offers inexpensive alternatives to hotel in alona beach, clean and spacious rooms, bath with hot and cold shower, it is 200meters away from the beach, its not beach front but it is very accessible, its near the right edge if the beach, far from henann and all the busyness, place is quite serene. Although they dont offer breakfasts and meals, its easy to find good places to eat in the beach front or even in the back roads. Airconditioning is well maintained and is cold, no problems sleeping! :)

Clean hotel with friendly staff close to Alona Beach”
This is a good option if you want to stay close to Alona Beach. The staff is friendly and accommodating. When I arrived, I was told I reserved a room on the wrong date (the next day). There was one room left which was a lot more expensive than the one I had booked. Since it was late, they offered me the room for the same price as the one I had reserved. I ended up staying the next night also. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with AC. It is a 5 minutes walk to Alona Beach, and about 15 minutes walk via the main road to the strip with restaurants and bars. The breakfast is not included, but there are many places close buy where you can buy food. Overall I had a good experience at Villa Almedilla.
