Gorgeous, garden set villa sanctuary”
Stepping off the dusty streets of Siem Reap into the walled garden setting of Villa Amalia is like entering another world. The 8 or so villas are set back around a beautiful swimming pool shaded by flowering shrubs - frangipani and hibiscus among them. The rooms are large, and comfortable, with curtained beds reminiscent of a colonial era but modern stone and concrete bathrooms. A dripping air con unit was quickly fixed for us. Breakfast, served poolside was a plentiful and tasty including fresh fruit and yoghurt, smoothies or juice, coffee, eggs and croissants. There was also an Asian option. About a 10-15 main walk to the old market, with plenty of eateries closerby. We were a family of 5 in two villas with friends in a third and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Highly recommended

Peaceful hotel within 10 minutes walk of Pub Street”
Loved this small hotel. Very peaceful and attentive staff. Would recommend for couples. Large and clean room and waiter service for Breakfast . Be careful of taxi drivers who agree on price and then charge more. Would recommend Hout Choy who has a small cafe next door . The price he agrees at the start is the price you pay and he speaks excellent English. Night life in Siem Reap is good and would recommend the Hard Rock Cafe which has a great band whose lead singer Basti engages well with the audience.

No hot water, mosquitoes let into room by cleaners everyday!”
We stayed in room one and the room was large, but despite asking for help the hit eater in our room would not work, we were told they had ecofriendly solar powered water heater which wouldnt work at night, and we tried it throughout a sunny day and it would heat the water more then one or two degrees, so lots of freezing g showers on our honeymoon! Solar power seems absurd to me when you can get.much more eco friendly water tanks on the roof, which were obviously not wanted for aesthetics. Cleaners left the windows open everyday leading to a nightly mosquito hunt despite us using repellent, this was hard in the large and dark room. Staff were friendly but not helpful about these matters Breakfast seemed ok apart from honestly peculiar lack of local fruit, very western but good if you like that. Overall we would definitely not stay here again, not the best room.for theoney by far.

Calm atmosphere ”
Very nice and calm place in the busy siem reap. No hot water for our shower and some of the Led lights in the bathroom were out but overall a very good experience.

Quiet location, with great villas”
Location, villas & staff
We stayed five nights here late November (2015). I picked this place specifically for the combination of great location (quiet & away from the main drag yet only a short walk or tuk tuk ride),the size of the villas & pool. The whole experience was faultless, all staff (receiption, cleaners & kitchen) were friendly & helpful. Breakfast, like most places, was basic yet good. Would return again.

Lovely facilities and friendly staff”
Staff are great and very helpful. Rooms and pool are lovely
We enjoyed staying with Villa Amalia. Staff were ever so helpful. Did have a couple of minor issues with room safe not working properly and a toilet not flushing properly on checkin but these were attended to quickly and efficiently. We would happily stay again.

Small Boutique hotel”
Only 9 indeoendent rooms in hotel, shower room and location
1.Need a small map hotel to old market...it is very dark in the night and difficult to find hotel(even taxi or tuktuk) 2.Would be nice more assistance for sightseeing and other tips from hotel staff 3.Laundry service need more attention Villa Amalia is rather new hotel so need more experience for all service but will be very nice small boutique hotel in the town.
