Affordable and Good Location”
This was our first stay at this resort. It is located at one end of White Beach, placing it close to, but away from the loud entertainment section of the Beach. Our preference. It was also close to restaurants open for breakfast early in the mornings. While we missed a few of the amenities (welcoming drinks, drinking water, WiFi login) when we first checked in, the staff was quick to rectify the situation the following morning. The staff was complemented by several cats roaming the property, which provided me with added comfort since I have to leave two cats behind when I travel. As noted by others, the resort has open grounds which included shaded hammocks for relaxation. A very nice experience.
Location is Great, however its a bit pricey compare to other resort with great location too. I requested a seaside view, but the room given has no view at all. They gave us the room that is Old and tucked inside the two story Hut. and so I requested to transfer to other room, but they wont let me because the rooms still available is for Grps of 4. There are no Chairs for guest wants to enjoy the ocean, But a cottage with swing that has to be shared with staff and other Guest.
Rusty water because of deep well. No refrigerator, defective lock in their bathroom.

The manager of the hotel is a bad person, when i asked for the Wi-Fi she just reply that the signal was bad and doesn't want to give it to me .doesnt want to give me new towel,in 3 daus no one cosme to clean my room, her husband is a staff member just looking after money. No water in the shower. The bathroom was smelling very bad, yellow water. Very bad experience,i don't recommand it!!!!!
Super-relaxing lalo na sa "duyan" !”
very cozy kc we were surrounded by sand and the rooms are like modern nipa huts.the staff are very friendly and nice lalo na c and her husband. their best asses is their location - beachfront tlaga. they have generator din so u don't need to worry pag brownout. 2 minutes walk nasa center kna ng night life and mga tiangge and restaurants.
Suggest to have better lighting in the rooms and not just dim lights
Great location and staff. That’s all.”
Pros first. The location is great. The best and cleanest shoreline along White Beach for me. Away from the noisy bars and the crowd. Accommodating staff. That’s everything good about it. We got the Queen size with balcony 2nd flr- the bed is just double, not queen size. Musty smell. It’s clean but musty. Same with the bathroom- you can smell drainage fumes. Balcony was supposed to be what we paid for but we couldn’t even open/close the sliding doors properly- it was a struggle all the time. We couldn’t even close the screen door at all; so it’s either we close the glass sliding door and not enjoy the balcony or leave doors open and let mosquitoes in. They don’t allow masseuse in your room even for a fee. I had to request for extra pillows as the pillows we were provided were so small and thin. Shame, the location was really great and spacious. Someone buy this hotel and renovate it!
Possibly best position on White beach.. Just away from main area.. Excellent restaurant set up”
For beach front, this place is very reasonably priced. Sand and water here is clean and clear, excellent for swimming. Restaurant is in perfect position. Spend all day under the shade. Service is excellent. The size of the offerings should be larger. My only concern.
I was lucky i had the room in fron of the beach, i enjoyed a very nice view every day on my balcony, the room was clean , the aircon and wifi very good, the staff is friendly and the food good, i will go there again
Wonderful hotel!! Loved it.”
We chose this resort based on reviews. I think they are under rated as their rooms were nice. The staff was amazing and we really enjoyed their pleasant smiles and assistance when needed. Good place to stay.
clean, spacious room, good location”
Ms. Marie is very accommodating. She gave me their annex single detached cottage with veranda. The room was spacious. Clean bathroom. Its near the beach. I will definitely book in this resort again on my future visits to Puerto Galera.
The room for two is huge and very spacious and clean. The hote is few steps away from sandy beach compared to other area its stoney. They have a restaurant and tables near shore with umbrella and the view of the beach while you eat. They have the best served food plus affordable price--compared to the majority of the resto nearby are overpriced. Just one con is that the servers needs improvement--- they need to be more attentive to customers who seats outside where the unbrella table is and be prompt with taking orders. I will definitey recommend and refer to friends and will definitey come back to this place again and again. Very friendly people and the owners as well are great.👍😍😎
On the beach”
Room was very basic. Stayed 4 nights, no maid cleaning (you have to request it), water flow in shower extremely weak, beds too firm. Live music next door blares into window from 5 pm until 1am. Good: location is right on White Beach, AC worked good, request beachfront with balcony- enjoyed sitting out there. Close to all the other cafes and bars along the beachfront of White Beach. Onsite cafe served delicious Filipino food. White Beach is a good 15 minute ($300 peso) ride from Puerto Galera or Sebang.
Good value for overnighters”
It was a short, overnight stay whenever we spend a weekend at Puerto Galera. Villa Bienvenida Beach Resort is a great place for on-the-budget travellers and overnighters. The place is clean, well-fenced and the people managing are great!
Everything is perfect!”
It is really great! I would go back here anytime soon. The place is quiet compared to other hotels. Location is perfect for a nice and quiet vacation. Beach is really good and the Staff are really friendly and accomodating. Very helpful setting up our activities.
Very Basic Hotal”
This is a very basic hotel (one star at best) located on the 'quiet' end of White Beach. The rooms are clean but lack most common amenities expected by western travelers (no soap, no hand towels, no furniture except the bed, extremely old and lumpy pillows, very small TV, no ceiling fan, no mini-refrigerator, etc.) The location is fine and quiet enough during the day but be warned - White Beach is very noisy at night with a lot of loud thumping music and bad karaoke. The staff - especially Joy & Jessilyn - were helpful, sweet, and nice and the two of them made a big difference in the enjoyment of our stay. It's doubtful I would go back to White Beach anytime soon as there are far better beaches to visit in the Philippines that offer more modern hotels and true peace & quiet.
Very nice place”
We were lucky enough to have the best room, first floor with view on the beach. Great scenery, close to all White Beach restaurants and shops, great restaurant just in front. One thing, the room is not cleaned everyday, in fact wasn't cleaned once in the 6 days we stayed there...
a very relaxing and enjoyable beach outing”
White beach in PG is the perfect place for those whose intent is just to spend time swimming and lazing in a sandy beach. For fun but quiet surroundings, Villa Bienvenida is the best choice since it is far enough but walking distance from White Beach Resort and VM resort where the pub and nightlife is located (which last until 3 am, thus you won't be able to have a good night sleep because of the noise). I think the resort is reasonably priced at half priced of P1,788/night for two (since we were there in june, during low season) but would be considered too costly if its high season since ambiance is very simple, basic but clean. As advertised and delivered, hot and cold showers are there, towels, soap and tissue are provided, cable tv is working, staff are friendly and accommodating, food is delicious and reasonably priced but room is very basic with two queen beds and just a table with no lampshade. Aircon is working. If you are more after the ambiance of a luxurious hotel, Tamaraw beach resort in Aninuan (which is just 50 meters away and divides Aninuan from white beach by big rocks) is another option at same half price but has a swimming pool. But the beach perse in their location (Aninuan) is not sandy and has more stones and pebbles than white beach.
We went to Puerto Galera during the Holy Week. All other beach front hotels had huge crowds staying in front of them. However, we were able to get a lot of breathing space with Villa Bienvenida even if it's also a beach front hotel. My friends and family had a lot of beach space to themselves, even at night when the crowds are at their largest. The only concern was the speed of food service during breakfast. It wasn't fast but it's also probably due to the huge volume of orders. Will I stay in Villa Bienvenida again? Of course. :-)
Villa Bienvenida Nov 12”
This hotel is in a wonderful location right on the beach and whilst not in the hub of things on White Beach it is within easy walking distance of the bars and night life. The food is relatively simple but the menu is extensive and to be able to eat on the beach only metres from your hotel room was an aspect we thoroughly enjoyed. We therefore did not eat elsewhere for our 4 days. However with the exception of the owner/manager, guests are “just tolerated” rather than welcomed by the extensive staff for such a small establishment. Each request – even just obtaining a menu – seemed to be a major chore for them and extracting a smile or even a verbal response took a good deal of effort. We always felt we were intruding on their time (and sleep!) by asking for anything. Additionally there is no cleaning of the rooms and if you run out of items such as toilet paper you have to go looking for it yourself. In that sense it functions more like a boarding house than a hotel. The suggestion therefore that it is a 2.5 star hotel is a nonsense and accordingly it is overpriced.
