New Hotel - Nearly Perfect!”
This new hotel is good - but there are some things that need to be fixed before it is great. Pros - great location, great breakfast, free room upgrade offered, beautiful building, nice terrace/hot tub, nice staff, new decor. Cons - inattentive staff, no menus in room or in lobby, no info in room, some things not working (roof window, light in room), slow check-in/check-out, noisy housekeeping staff in the mornings. Cons are all teething problems as it is newly opened - it would be great if they tightened up the service!
Great staff, beautiful centrally located boutique but less than functional rooms. ”
Villa Brown is a charming boutique hotel The staff was incredible. They would stand on their head if it made you happy. Property is elegant and centrally located. Breakfast is great (albeit a bit redundant after a few days), served on a beautiful patio However, there were several items that would prevent me from staying there again. 1) Value for money. Rooms are INCREDIBLY SMALL and facilities were limited. for the price I paid, I expected more. 2) The pics don't really match the product 3) The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on in my life. Truly no different than sleeping on a floor. Our entire party agreed. Getting sleep was next to impossible. No matter how beautiful a hotel is, your first priority there is sleep. So it falls short in this area. 4) Functionality: as previously stated the rooms are tiny. This includes the bathrooms. Which are beautiful but not at all functional. No where to put stuff. Rooms have NO CLOSETS, NO DRAWERS & no mirrors.
