It was pleasure to stay in Camellia Lake Resort. We stayed in the family room during the peak holiday season. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly, particularly the hotel manager (I forgot his name). Breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel.

+ I used the suite room with balcony and the balcony was spacious. nice view if gregory's lake. pretty cute and nice building. manager was professional. wifi connection good. breakfast is okay. if you have a driver location is okay. tucked in a quiet road near the lake. - minor but odd glitches in the service for example, dinner was delayed for 1 hour to be served but there was no explanation or communication about it which annoyed me. staff forgot to pack us sandwich for horton plains so we had to trek without anything to eat. hotel next door threw a noisy big new years eve party but the hotel did not do anything nor explain to us so could not sleep. this can be understandable since it was nye but if you're planning a trip around these days might be good to keep in mind. also the location can be too far away from the city centre if you do not have a driver. no stores nearby.

Nice "English"-feel hotel that's tucked away in a quiet peaceful area”
Pros - rooms are big and spacious(we had the lake view room), accomodating staff, big balcony overlooking the lake was nice to sit for tea, the manager Kamal Cons - small bathroom, staff are trying their best but clearly not as experienced, some way off from town but not inaccessible by tuk tuk

Not Good for a Family, Less Spacious Rooms, Bad Smell in the Wash Room”
Staff was good. Other than that I did not find much good about the resort. Rooms were extremely less spacious. I requested the manager that I wanted to shift to their other resort, Grand Camellia Resort, which they accommodated. Grand Camellia Resort was way better than Camellia Lake Resort.

Nice stay in Camellia Lake Resort”
The location is so good, just 1km to the downtown and walking distance to the lake. My family has a pleasant stay in this resort. The room is as clean as the picture shows and provides body wash, shampoo and kettle etc. The staff is so friendly. We wish we could have one more day in this down and explore a bit more. 酒店经理人真的很好， 房间真的很舒适温馨。

Spacious Rooms, Good Location, Comfortable Stay”
I booked a Suite Room with Balcony which was very spacious and comfortable. the balcony had a superb lake view with four chairs and a table where you can have a coffee peacefully. The floor of the room is covered with a carpet so it absorbs the unbearable cold in N'Eliya though there was no heater in the room. Bathroom was comparatively small but manageable. The staff was friendly and the service was at a satisfaction. You have tea coffee maker, a large flat screen TV with loads of international sports and movie channels. Local channels were also clear. The bed was very comfortable and large. The location is very convenient, only 5mins to N'Eliya town. They only served English Breakfast with an egg of your choice, bread, butter, jam and fresh fruit platter. On our request they served the BF to our room with out any hassle. Me and my husband had a very peaceful holiday. Thank you very much for making our stay lovely.

Decent Stay”
Overall it was a decent stay and the staff was lovely. However the lake view is being disturbed by an unattended piece of rubbish land right in front of the property. Room was ok.

Staff friendly but facilities and location average”
Staff were excellent and accommodating, breakfast was tasty but 2 of our 3 rooms didn't have hot running water when we arrived and I think our toilet may have been the reason the bathroom floor was wet for the entirety of our 2 night stay. We were however given access to a shower in a neighbouring room to get clean and it was more than adequate. There was some sort of Tamil festival going on at the temple next door for the 2 nights of our stay which was noisy but didn't go too late into the night. If I had my time again I would have looked for a hotel closer to the town or lake. Stay was adequate, staff were friendly and given it was cheap I guess ok value for money

Quiet homestay.”
Room seems to be smaller than the picture showed but bed is very comfortable. The room provide soap and shampoo with good quality. The shower pressure is not stable. The rental car driver seems to claim that hotel does not provide appropriate free room as the hotel agreed. And the hotel manager seems to be quite no emotion.

It looks good from outside but the facilities (ex. toilet & shower room) is a bit disappointed. They don't provide toothpaste, the WC has a strange smell. The room is big but the bed looks so girly like for a princess which does not suit for a romantic night

Above average”
We had a family room. One double bed in a gallery. Steps do steep that is more like a ladder. But very high. One wrong step and you seriously injure yourself. Bathroom in poor state. Hot water scarse. Electrical wiring in the bathroom done in such a way that you wander how come it never killed anybody. On the bright side...spacious room and good breakfast.

This is not in the City Centre ”
At least 30 minutes walk to town the first room they gave us was tiny with NO windows. Staff were helpful at times but went missing often. Went down for breakfast no one there - reception often closed. I don't think they know how to run a guest house.
