Immaculate Guest House”
Villa De Roshe was so beautiful and so well maintained. There are only three rooms inside of the Villa and each room looked to be perfect. We had a beautiful balcony that overlooked vegetable gardens and Nuwara Eliya City. We were only a short walk away from the city and also up the hill which meant peace and quiet. We were very impressed by the breakfast that was served also in the morning. We would definitely recommend this Villa to our friends and family when they come to visit.

Cozy place and fantastic service”
Stayed 4 nights at the Villa de Roshe amid unseasonal and nonstop rain in Nuwara Eliya. Despite this we had the best time thanks to the wonderful housekeeper who took care of our every need, whether it was fixing a snack, lunch, dinner, or arranging trips / taxis for us. Rooms are excellent, clean and comfortable.

superb rooms with amazing view,delicious food”
Just 5 minutes drive from the city of nuwara eliya and half way through the famous unique view road is villaderoshe,still very peaceful,their rooms are as good as five star hotel rooms with all the facilities you can think of. Wifi,flat screen TV,hot and cold beverages,ironing facilities are all complimentary and in the comfort of your room. Same goes with the rest rooms with high quality bath towels,all toiletries,hairdryer and plenty of hot water. View from the room balcony was amazing. We had English breakfast which was on the house and it was freshly prepared,well presented and delicious.we also had local rice and curry for dinner which was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and respectful. Keep up the good work, we will be back,soon

Hidding nice place”
The road who lead at this hotel is really tight and steep. The other hotels on this road seem to be old and a little decrepit. You pass by gardens terrace and residentials houses. But at the end of this road you have Villa de Roshe. This is a large house really beautiful. It look like new. The owner welcome us warmly. Everything Inside is well. The room is large enought. The bed is confortable, the washroom really nice (wide, clean and fonctionnal). We had a small balcony with a really nice view. It doesn't have climatization, but you really don't need it. The nights are really cold at Nuwara Eliya. The only inconvenience we had was than after the first night they did not come to clean our room and redo our bed. You can take the dinner at this hotel, but you need to choose you meal in advance. You will probably be alone with the staff when you will eat. But the meals are excellent. Same thing for the breackfast. We went at Horton plain a morning and we had to leave at 5h30 am. They prepared us a lunch with a sandwich and bananas, that was really appreciated. This hotel is situated between the downtown and the lake Gregory. You can reach the both by a walk of 30 at least minutes. But when you come back, if you are by walk, be prepared because the road is really steep.

Pleasant and relaxing stay”
Nice and friendly hotel owners, clean room, large and comfortable double bed made us felt very relaxing and had a good sleep after a day hiking in Nuwara Eliya. Super hot water in bathroom was fantastic (this is a very important thing in Sri Lanka coz most of the hotel claimed that they had hot water but ultimately you would get cold when bathing!) Nice and relaxing atmosphere during breakfast time. Value for money.

A 5 star place to stay”
We stayed at Villa De Roshe for 2 nights and in terms of hospitality, this was the best throughout our 2 weeks stay in Sri Lanka. 1. Hotel - The place is a 3 bedroom mansion located up on the hills. Not the most accessible place and the road up to the villa can be steep and unpaved. However, the benefit is that the villa from the room we got unblocked views of Gregory Lake. 2. Room - Hot water was always present and shower pressure was strong (very important in a cold place). Clean room with a balcony. 3. Food - Breakfast on the porch was amazing; great weather and view. 4. Service - in an age where there are a plethora of hotels, service level beyond what is required is what make a place truly stand out and this is what the staff at Villa de Roshe did. They prepared breakfast for us for our early morning hike to horton plains and always made us feel comfortable and pampered. Knowing it was our honeymoon, the housekeeper also placed a vase of flowers beside our bed.

A peaceful retreat close to bustling town centre.”
This was a lovely house in a quiet area with superb views of surrounding hills and tea plantations. Unfortunately it was a bit of an uphill hike to get back from town so tuk tuk needed, but only 5 min journey. The room was large and spacious with all facilities and the en suite was huge with great shower and lovely hot water. Staff were lovely - so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with choice of Western or Sri lankan fare. Not much to do in Nuwara Eliya itself - should have stayed only 2 nights (booked 3) as could have seen everything in that time. That said we had a good time and thoroughly enjoyed our trips to 2 tea plantations - Laboukellie and Pedro - well worth it. Would def recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful little hotel”
We had a great stay at Villa de Roshe. The rooms were extremely nice - large, very comfortable bed and huge bathrooms. Heaters were provided when requested (definitely ask for these as it was getting cold at night in September!) This is definitely a boutique hotel, it would be great for honeymooners (only 3 rooms in the place). Breakfast was comprehensive and filling. We stayed here and used tuk tuks to get up and down to the town at 200 rupees each way - it's a little out of town but makes up for it with a stunning view. Definitely a treat - it's a little more expensive than other places we stayed in Sri Lanka!

This hotel is a little hidden gem. Unlike most of other Sri Lanka hotels, it s affordable. Huge bathroom and good room amenities. I definitely recommend this hotel if you stay in nuwara eliya.

New and well renovated hotel ”
The hotel's brand new and well equipped. They provide you with down blanket, so you don't have to worry about the cold weather at night at Nuwara Eliya. We were able to see the sunrise from the middle room balcony. Very nice. Recommend Sri Lanka breakfast - Roti and curry. Dinner is a little bit expensive if you eat in-house. There are a couple of restaurant down the hill in town which is 5-10 minutes walk away. If the manager could have been on-the-ground, it would be more service oriented.

Friendly staff and modern, large rooms”
I was on a 3-day trip to the mountains and stayed in Nuwara Eliyah for 2 nights - Villa de Roshe was a great place to stay, the staff organized my tours and were very attentive. The hotel itself is a bit off the city, up the mountains, but the view over the city is very nice.

Great little Hotel”
We had a great stay at the Villa de Roshe. The hotel was clean and fresh and the staff were very accommodating and understanding. The only thing to be weary of is that it was a bit tricky to find as we didn't get there till pretty late at night and the directional signage is a bit smal compared to the other hotels on the same street. However all in all it was excellent and I would highly recommend.

Nice and quiet modern little hotel”
It is a bit out of the way, up the hillside from the main road into the Nuwara Eliya town centre, however it is worth it as you don't get any noise from the roads. The walk up the hill is actually a great way to finish after dinner, and when you hit the main road its only 5 minutes into town. Easy to find, signs are out etc. Guys who run it very nice, and the rooms are good - one thing though, make sure you keep the hot water system wall switch on at all times. We turned it off somehow, and water wouldn't heat up for shower. There's lots of old traditional colonial stuff in the town, but for a late-20's couple wanting something less cheesy and not overly fussy, this place was good.

Very pleasant restfull stay”
We had two very pleasant days at Villa de Roshe. The room we stayed in (Alfred) had a modern clean bathroom, fantastic views from the balcony and a really comfortable bed. (quite difficult to get in Sri Lanka!) Staff couldn't be more helpful and dinner was fine. Its a short 20 minute stroll down the hill to the main road. Ask the staff to point out the short cut.

The Most Economical and Luxury Boutique Villa”
It was indeed a Very Nice and Very Pleasant stay, I arrived to the Villa a bit late due to my last minute arrangement, I was greeted and gave me a Hot Towel and Also was offered a Tee or Coffee and I preferred a Good cup of Tea which was brewed and made perfectly. The Room is Amazing and the Bed, Pillows, Quilt and Linen used are better than a 5 Star Hotel, Very Cozy, Very Clean Linen. The Toilet is Big and Spacious with all toiletries. All Fittings in the Room and the Toilet are Modern. The Room also has Complimentary Tea/Coffee, Fresh Milk, Water Heater, Iron, Hair Dryer, LCD TV and Complimentary High Speed WiFi. The View was amazing from my room, Can see the Grgory's Lake and the City during Day and Night. Dinner was amazing as I was so hungry, It Cost me LKR 1000 only(Soup,Main Course and a Dessert), Breakfast was Complimentary as I booked on Bed & Breakfast Basis, The Breakfast too was Delicious and in plenty(Juice, Fruits, Eggs made to your own style, Sausages, Baked Beans,Grilled Tomato, Toasts with Butter and Jam and Tea/Coffee) What more can I ask for. Even the Cutlery and Crockery Used at the Villa is of Very High Standards. Most of all I felt at home due to the Very Friendly staff the Villa has, They are the assets of the Villa. I Recommend This Villa even to the High End Travelers. Thanks a lot for the Wonderful Stay though it was only for a day. Will Sure Visit for a Longer Stay.

Very pretty hotel despite difficulty with access”
Comfortable. Nuwara Eliya was freezing that night, but the staff brought a space heater into our room, made us dinner and breakfast, and our short stay turned out very pleasant. The villa was incredibly difficult to drive up to, the roads are really just footpaths and rather steep. However, the views were nothing short of beautiful. I imagine this place would be perfect during the summer since it is so high up in the mountains and the ceilings were an incredible 25 feet from the floors. There were no fans or air conditioners in the room, probably because they wouldn't be needed in such a place. The bathroom was clean; we had ample hot water. The only issue was the drain in the shower that malfunctioned somewhat and the waters pooling around... Because of our schedule, our stay was just under 12 hours. It is worth being there at least for a night.

we enjoyed the relax time and wonderful view in Villa de Roshe although the location in the middle of mountain, need more tuktuk fee, but the staff in Villa de Roshe is very helpful and nice. Good meal and breakfast served. Also clean room with balcony.

Personalized service”
Great stay. There are only 3 rooms so the service is very personalized. We had the "middle" room so had fabulous views. Big bathroom, good bed and nice breakfast. There is also a large area downstairs for guests to use. The staff were also great, and we thank them for making us feel so comfortable and at home. It represented good value for money here in Newara Eliya.
