Its a nice hotel that we booked a week before our trip. Just hoping that they served buffet breakfast for more food selections. However, their few food selections tasted nice. Location and nice room.

We enjoyed our short stay!”
We are a group of bride entourage from Bulacan and Manila that attended a friend's wedding in Tagaytay. It was raining at the time and we do not want to risk traveling home on that weather. We were on a hunt of places to stay nearby and there are just no rooms available on the other hotels that we checked personally. I checked Agoda and saw Villa Ibarra, I had booked a room and they were able to accommodate us immediately. Pros: - The room is big and easily accommodated us 4 - The sofa inside the room is very comfortable - I had a computer table to do my work - Wifi is nice and reliable - TV with cable - Shower with heater and complete toiletries - With complimentary breakfast for 2 - They have nice views of the Taal Lake - Overall we had an amazing stay CONS - Free breakfast for 2 persons even though the room can accommodate 4! That's it! Highly recommended Villa Ibarra to everyone! We are only booking here during our Tagaytay stays in the future!

Wonderful View, Serene Location”
We had a pleasant stay in Villa Ibarra. Our room has a great view of the Taal Lake and it was very refreshing. The location is also great since it is along the highway and near to many of the popular restaurants in the area such as Leslie's but there's traffic especially at night. Service was also commendable since the staff were very accommodating.

Not worth”
Had seen some bad comments before booking, but we still chose it, was really disappointed at Ibarra. Except the view, there s nothing to pleasure. The staff wasn't so helpful, can tell most are lazy especially the restaurant. Room was small and lack of necessaries, battub was also broken. People around talked loudly and kids were running around but nobody said anything.

POOR customer service and TERRIBLE stay”
We chose the hotel because of the reviews after our original booking for another hotel was cancelled. But the entire stay was terrible. We were told that we could check in early, but when we got there, we were told the previous occupants had not checked out (and it was already 12:15 when check out is at noon). Then the front desk staff did not stop the kids (there was a wedding) from running up and down the wooden stairs and banging on the piano. Then the sofa out in the guest area had bird droppings. And finally, breakfast choices were limited be a use the staff claim that the items ran out (there wasonly 1 other family checked in!) The chairs in the dining room were also dusty. It was a terrible stay, and even if the view was nice, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great weekend getaway with family”
Location wise: very convenient. The whole place is awesome considering that they only have 8 rooms for the whole hotel, makes it more quiet and relaxed. They don’t have a swimming which doesn’t matter to me and has one of the best views for Taal Volcano. Everything is great except for their breakfast options which I believe is too overpriced. Other than that we really had a great experience and will definitely come back again soon.

Needs help”
We booked the attic room which was nearly AUD$200- needed to climb a spiral staircase, difficult for my pregnant wife...the room was claustrophobic - it had stains on the carpet, smelt moldy...so we asked to inspect the other room that had 2 double beds on the lower level. As soon as we walked in the room the carpet had curling ridges all over it (enough to nearly trip over) It looked about 20 years old .. also had stains, smelled moldy. I could hardly believe that an owner of a hotel would present such an expensive room (5 star price) like that! Shame! We were nearly ready to walk out of the place & the desk person asked us to look at another room which had no carpet, wooden floor & we agreed to stay however they requested more payments to upgrade. Damn! The new room was OK but still nowhere near the expensive price tag. We also had issues with the hot water & water pressure that was so slow to fill a bath. There were other issues as well but I run out of space here now.

Not so much as a 4 star hotel”
location, the view of the taal lake,
The parking space becomes a problem when you stay during an event. We were told by the security guard that he can no longer give a parking space for us despite that we arrived at the hotel close to 7pm. I had to insist that I paid so much for the hotel and there was no way to park elsewhere since the parking spaces in other areas had to be paid for plus we can't park on the street. The other security guard managed to give us a parking space. The place is okay, the view is nice, but overrated. I think the price we paid is too much for the type of accommodation. It's not much of a hotel but more like sharing a house with other guests. The breakfast waiter who is the kaloka like of Coco Martina is very accommodating and very pleasant along with one hotel attendant.

View is superb
Overall, our stay was worth it. We were all able to relax. The "xoxo" attic room was unique and the "romantic" room "supposedly" had the best view of Taal lake if the TV was not there. I hope that the hotel will do something about it.

The room with the best view of taal volcano”
View, bathroom jacuzzi, privacy of room location
Fantastic view of the Taal volcano from the bed, but I suggest they put blinds that fully cover the entire window. I woke up very early because the morning sun poured in through the gaps not covered by the blinds. Bathroom jacuzzi was great for relaxation. Check in/reception needs to do a better job. We had to wait to be acknowledged and checked in for 10 mins even though my husband and I were the only ones checking in/out at that time. One staff was busy answering questions from a potential customer for a wedding event, the othe staff just stood there. No one escorted us to our room. They just pointed the direction. We had to ask again halfway going to the room to locate it, We ate crunchy bacon with eggs and bread from the free set breakfast.

the best view of Taal Lake and volcano, easy access to restaurant and shopping center, intimate hotel
We had the attic room which has a large balcony overlooking the lake and volcano. Villa Ibarra is strategically located. It offered the best view of the volcano! Restaurants are nearby so there are plenty to choose from. The reception allowed us to have very early check in and we appreciate it very much. We had a great and restful time in Tagaytay although at night, the noise from nearby rooms was quite unnerving in the beginning.

Amazing Views, but not from my room”
Friendly Staff, Great View
This is a wonderful villa looking out over Taal Lake & Volcano. You can tell that they host a lot of events & weddings with the big patio. I was travelling through on business so didnt really get to enjoy the scenery as much as I would have liked. My one word of warning was that the cheap room does not actually have a view of Taal Lake, and not even any windows. So you should probably try to get the better rooms if you can.

Nice boutique hotel”
big rooms, good location
This small hotel is located perfectly for tourists looking to sample the best of Tagaytay. Rooms are quite big with the room we booked having two queen beds and a decent sized bathroom. Set menu breakfast is not bad but nothing spectacular. Value for money, this is probably one of the best Tagaytay has to offer. My only complaint is that being a small hotel, noise from the lobby tend to be heard around the whole place. It would be fun though to book the whole place for a company or family outing. We visit Tagaytay at least 3x a year and typically stay in Taal Vista or the other bigger hotels but I have to say Villa Ibarra is now one of the top hotels we will consider for our visits.

Has view of Taal lake, Good food, Great room and service
We stayed for 2 days and 1 night. The hotel is on the Tagaytay ridge so the view from the hotel lobby and garden is superb. They also have some rooms with view. Our room (103 - Cute) has no view but it is just fine since you cannot see anything at night. The hotel only has 8 rooms so service is personalized. Our room is really very nice. The toiletries are very good quality. They also have slippers. The bed is really comfortable. The TV and cable channels are very good. The breakfast is also very good. Try their corned beef. It is really good. The hotel is near Robinsons, Pagcor Casino, Olivarez plaza, Mushroom burger. All in all best value for amount we paid.

We found our perfect Anniversary place!”
We found a deal at Agoda for Villa Ibarra's ultimate room -- the Romantic Honeymoon Suite -- that we simply could not pass it up! When we got there, we knew we had found the perfect place to spend our first wedding anniversary, and plan to spend each coming anniversary. The room is smaller than some suites we've stayed in, but the picture perfect view of Taal volcano and Taal lake as seen through the three glass-paneled wall windows more than makes up for it. The view is PERFECT. Located along Aguinaldo Highway, Villa Ibarra is conveniently located and close to a number of well-known restaurants and malls. At the same time, once you enter the driveway and go to their garden area, you are instantly transported from the bustling city to the peaceful, relaxing ambiance of surrounding Taal. The Honeymoon Suite is tucked below ground level, ensuring privacy and seclusion. Oh, and their bathtub/jacuzzi is definitely a plus! We look forward to going back next year!
