Lovely setting. Hotel has lots of potential but feels a bit unloved”
The location is great and the gardens are well tended. My room, however, had lots of maintenance issues that could easily have been repaired/replaced if the staff had been trained to notice.

Nice setting at the river but to loud”
Oposite of this hotel there are floating bars with music at daytime and evening even louder. At 8 am many boats passing by and wake you up.

Ok for few nights”
I stayed there for there nights. The room was simple even though more costly than anything in Vientiane or Luang Prabang. Im general, Vieng Vieng is about 1,5-2 times the prices for everything which explains it. The room was clean, bed was nice and just the water pressure during showering went from full to none every now and then and warm water took an intial minute. But that you can live with, I suppose (even though I would expect more for the price). Very early morning (which you can fix with ear plugs if you have light sleep) and late afternoon the jetty right in front of the hotel is quite busy. But having e.g. breakfast at 8:30 on the terrace is a super chilled experience right beside the nam song river. That really was nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. Besides the shower and the slightly too high prices in vieng vang I would have given a higher rating. PS: if you look for a chilled-out place to hang around, comfortably busy but calm, nice coffees, bars and restaurants, only few construction sites and not much dust - stay away from VV... It has some nice spots but you for sure have to visit the laundry service then 😉

Great location, lovely stay!”
This villa is well situated with pretty gardens and a beautiful view over the Nam Song River and the karst mountains. These are best enjoyed from the terrace which offers wonderful sun sets. The breakfast was great the first day when there were only two other couples but slightly disappointing the following day when it got busy. All the other meals we had were very good and the service was excellent. Despite the rooms being ever so slightly dated, they are immaculate and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, this was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend it if visiting Vang Vieng!

Choice pick in Vang Vieng”
Beautiful clean and well appointed rooms with fresh linen, mosquito nets, full room service in wonderfully kept lush grounds. At south end of town giving it semi secluded feel but only 5 min walk to "centre" which is becoming dominated by concrete riverfront hotels (under construction). Location is actually adjacent to long boat landing (for trips up river) and the all-season wooden bridge crossing for trips out to karsts/caves. So is very well located. Plenty of eating, bike/massage/restaurant services near by. Hotel restaurant itself is a highlight being positioned much further "out" into Nam Som than all other restaurants and food/buffet very good. Sublime morning breakfast views. Finally, staff are superb - the English speaking manager and manageress could not have been more professional, attentive, honest or helpful. Highly recommended for Vang Vieng in a market that is quickly transitioning from Western backpacker to East Asian group bookings.

Great views, relaxing location.”
We stayed at Villa Nam Song for two nights. We were really happy to find that it was slightly out of town, away from the crazy bars and wild activities that Vang Vieng has been known for in the past. Our room, a standard double was really large, great bed, beautiful bathroom. The restaurant at this hotel is notable, it has multiple menus, and excellent food.

Bucolic and Magical”
This small boutique hotel is a gem on the edge of the river Nam Song. Step outside the gate and a boat tour awaits you for a wonderful ride along the river. I went on walks but found my self coming back to the Villa to sit and enjoy the garden and view of the mountains. The staff is polite and the gardner has done a superb job with his plants. The owner is on site and helpful and the dining area is another wonderful spot to sit and watch the river pass by. By far one of my favorite places I have stayed. I felt safe as a singe woman traveler and that's very important to me. I would recommend Villa Nam Song as I myself will return as often as I possible!

Awesome Hotel On the River”
This is a great little spot. The hotel was right on the river with absolutely gorgeous view. The rooms were clean and tidy and it was a great value. It is a bit outside the "center center" of Vang Vieng, but this isn't a deterrence. It is about a 5 minute walk to anywhere you need to go. Can't get over the view.

That view!”
You can't beat the view of this hotel! We loved sitting in front of the water on their very comfortable reclining chairs and just watching that incredible setting. The breakfast provided was great, no complaints, little bit of everything and again you get to enjoy it while taking in the spectacular surroundings of Vang Vieng. The location is very near to the main street and we were able to easily rent scooters at a place nearby. The rooms are modestly decorated, bathrooms are small but do the job. All in all a wonderful stay!

Cosy place with well-kempt gardens”
Had a good time exploring Vang Vieng, we were able to look out to Nam Song River standing from Villa Nam Song. It was definitely a sight close to sunset time, where the kayaks and people are returning from their day adventure and hot air balloons in the air. The room was decent and equipped with mosquito nets. However the double bed was actually 2 single beds put together and that was not very comfortable for a couple like us to sleep on. Tons of mosquitoes in the room and toilet, but got lesser over the days. Bring along insect repellent, you won't regret it. It is a walk to the main hustle and bustle in Vang Vieng, but still within walking distance. We appreciate the walk at night, as you get to stop by pancake prata stalls for a quick delicious snack.

Very nice Location, good rooms, beautiful garden”
We stayed 2 nights at Villa Nam Song. We had the superior double bed room. Room has AC and a fan, is very clean and is well equipped. You have a window directed to the garden with the Nam Song river behind. Breakfast was good, you can sit directly next to the river. Very quite, cozy place with a good price-performance ratio. I can recommend this place.

We had a bed journey from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, We’ve stayed the hotel. It is good-looking; great view, quite, lovely garden, Clean room, comfortable bed. I have had best shower. Good food and very good selection of wines. The hotel would be pleasant if they have a spa. Staffs are helpful; Hotel manager Mr. Hussein is very well. I’ll come back to the hidden paradise

Beautiful hotel directly on the river”
Beautiful hotel located directly at the river Nam Song and about 10min walk to the centre, surrounded by a tropical, lush garden. The view is breathtaking! Staff is very friendly, supportive and attentitive. Our room was at the back of the hotel with no balcony, so rather dark but the front rooms are just perfect. Make sure to bring some deet with you, even if a mosquito net is provided- definitely would recommend this hotel!

Ambivalent stay”
The hotel is ok, but not more, our room needs a refurbishment. The hotel beautifully located at riverside with a fantastic view. But coming from amazing Luang Prabang, we did not like Vang Vieng at all. No sights besides of landscape, we felt it as loud, dirty and people are less friendly than in other Lao destinations.

Beautiful property along the river”
Villa Nam Song is a beautiful place with a wonderful manager. It was more expensive than other hotels of similar quality in SE Asia; however, this could be because it was over the New Year's holiday. The rooms are very romantic if you are traveling as a couple. They are so dimly lit that we could barely find things in our luggage! Breakfast was decent, but not the best. Easy walking distance into town, but a little removed so you don't hear partying all night. I would happily stay again.

Resident Manager was extremely helpful . He was very responsive to all my email queries . He helped arranged transport ( van & driver) and river activities . Villa Nam Song is small but very cosy . We enjoyed our dinner at the hotel restaurant . Sumptuous food and fabulous view of the river . 👍
