Misleading photos of property ”
Impression from site/Agoda was that it was a 4 star property. We had the ‘deluxe’ garden view room 1) deluxe is a very generous stretch 2) room was musty 3) garden view consisted of staring at a plant 4) breakfast buffet was only available day 1, after that you could chose from 2 fruits and some breads 5) charged $30 USD round trip to airport, which doesn’t seem like alot, until you factor in that translates to 256,000 kip - enough for a massage, dinner for two, and a snack at the night markets!

We booked 6 rooms at the Villa Santi for our wedding that was held in Luang Prabang. Aside from our 6 rooms, we had 43 people fly over from the United States, and used the Villa Santi as our home base for the week. We enjoyed drinks on the patio and food (really good!) almost every single night. The staff were extremely accommodating, and assisted with several issues other members in our group had - not related to the Villa Santi at all (dead battery on car, left carry on bag in airport van, etc.) I look forward to our next trip to LPQ and thank everyone at Villa Santi for making our special week extra special!

Charming hotel right in the center of action”
After a long 15 hour drive from Bangkok and dinner at the nearby L'Elephant restaurant, I was definitely ready to crash in bed. Check-in was quick, I was told to park my car in the side street separating the main building with the building where the guest rooms are because the main road hosts the daily alms giving in the morning. After going to my room, I noticed it wasn't quite what I expected - although the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice, there wasn't a separate desk with chair for working on. However, there was space on the long table to place my laptop and I used one of the stools to sit on. There was also no pool just a small fountain, however, I wouldn't have had time to go for a swim as my next destination was Jinghong, China another long drive ahead of me. Breakfast was nice too. I felt the room rate was just a little high but other than that I would consider staying again, though there are many other nice options in town.
Beautiful old Villa style hotel in perfect spot with lovely pool”
Great old style hotel with beautiful rooms ( bathroom plumbing needs an upgrade - the hot water takes a awhile to run). I stayed in a suite which gave me access to a beautiful small pool just off my room shared by only three other rooms.

Perfect location for the alms giving. Colonial style, very calm for a relaxing stay but the swimming pool is very small (a shuttle takes the guests to Villa Santi Resort 20 minutes away for a "real" swimming pool + nice restaurant with great service too).
Charming hotel in perfect location”
We were really pleased with the location of this hotel – which is absolutely perfect. It’s situated in the peninsula part of the old town just two blocks away from the Mekong River, close to but far enough away from the night market area to be very peaceful. Our room was in the very charming Annex, which is just a short walk across the road from the main building; in fact most of the hotel’s rooms are in the Annex, which is a beautiful old traditional building in a tropical garden. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast out on the balcony of the dining room every morning overlooking the street, served by very friendly and helpful staff, and also had a very good lunch at the hotel on Monday during our stay. Although the hotel’ facilities are quite limited – we didn’t really think it was worth taking the shuttle bus to the resort part of the hotel to use their facilities – for us this was very much outweighed by the really wonderful location of the hotel and it’s traditional charm.

They alway cancel order”
This is my first booking in 2018, they cancel my booking after confirm. Cause me replan of my trip. Few week back I make a booking again to stay during CNY 2019, they still cancel my booking but until today still can see the date I booked is available. Selecting of their Customer or any other reason? Wasting time.
Return visit annex is shocking ”
We have stayed in the main building and based on that rebooked but this time was put in the annex. It was awful no hot water, dark, damp and furniture wood like 20+ years old in state of disrepair. Don’t stay here unless Main building.
The reception building is beautiful but the rooms are in a totally different building”
The reception area is truly beautiful but the rooms are in a different building in the back street. Rooms are big and clean but bad taste. I wouldn’t spend my money on this hotel again if I want to go to a good hotel in Luang Prabang l.

Old colonial style house in the centre of town with the same atmosphere.”
The main building has the charm and character of a bygone French colonial age but most of the bedrooms are in a separate building down the road. Our room - a Junior Suite - was large and well equipped but the decor needed updating. The main bonus of this hotel is the quirky, small pool which was invaluable to cool off in after a days exploring. More comfy outdoor furniture and better quality towels wouldn't go amiss
Location is the best”
Villa Santi was a first choice because the location was not far from everywhere. We had old parent can't walk too much, not far to night market, restaurant and historic temple nearby. Breakfast don't have too much choices but good taste. It should be better if hotel can offer the bicycle for guests.
Great Location a Rather Disappointing Stay”
We were looking forward to our return to Luang Prabang and a stay at the Villa Santi which was being renovated during our last visit. A disappointing first impression as one had to walk over many broken tiles in the lobby ( as it was low season you would think Management would correct this issue.) Booked a Royal Suite the Vishnau, not a good location as on the main street and the early morning pantry was the other side of our bathroom and one was woken up every morning around 6.00am with the staff noise. The room was spacious and well appointed but not well maintained: 1) shower head broken....was fixed 2) Bathroom sink, the taps were wrongly labeled,"hot was cold and cold was hot"..not corrected 3) Toilet wax seal had failed and constant sewerage smell in the bathroom 4) A/C the hand held control ..the thermostat didn't work....no matter what you did 18 Degrees was the same as 30 Degrees...had to get up at night to switch off as too cold. Housekeeping didn't pick up on any of this.?? At breakfast every day I ordered per the menu Cornflakes and Banana...the last day they had no bananas.....I laughed, as the Town is full of bananas...in fact the shop opposite were selling them....sloppy management there I think! Stayed 4 Nights and the free WiFi didn't work, the reception staff struggled with the idea that it was working, but with a download speed of less than 1Mbps.I could not receive or send my business Emails. Resorted to going down the street to a Cafe and my friend was staying at a near hotel and I went there..they had at least 10Mbps....very annoying and an indifferent air to a solution. Of course all the staff were pleasant and charming but need better training...overall I think the Hotel needs a more pro-active and professional Management .....EG: no one came to me over the WiFi even after complaining daily. The Villa Santi has great potential in a great central location, but needs to be managed better if it is going to prosper.
We had booked to stay 5 nights but only stayed 2 at Villa Santi. This was because we were staying in the annexe on a side road next to the hotel, and there was a lot of building work going on opposite our room, which was very noisy! We asked if it was possible to move rooms, and we were sent to the Villa Santi Resort and Spa! Which was amazing! It was 4km outside Luang Prabang, but there was a regular , free shuttle bus daily. We had a wonderful view from our balconied room, and the grounds of the hotel were beautiful. There was a good size swimming pool with plenty of comfortable sun beds and parasols around it. So many thanks to the manager of Villa Santi for our fabulous transfer!
The entry and restaurants are beautiful but rooms are old with a nasty odor.....the cleaness awfull but not because they dont clean its because the building its too old and any maintenence at all!!! i didnt l8ke the rooms at all!!!
I thought the villa santi restaurant and the hotel were in the same bulilding, but the hotel was little bit apart from the restaurant building, about 1 min. I was allocated for rooms on the 1st floor( we booked two rooms). One room smelled like mold and the other smelled moth balls. Not sure what is like on the upper floor. The garden around the hotel was pretty and well taken care of. Staffs were helpful. Other than the smelling part the hotel was nice.
Bad Value ”
This hotel costs too much for what you get. Though the location is in a good area for walking to things, the majority of the rooms are adjacent to a children's school making it quite noisy in the morning and all day. The hotel advertises itself as having a pool but really it is just a viewing pool and you must go to a property outside of town if you wish to swim. The staff was also very unhelpful, quoting us much higher prices for any activities or services than were actually available.
Beautiful hotel in great location”
Villa Santi is in a great location close to shops, restaurants and the heart of Luang Prabang. It is very easy to get around town walking from here. The hotel itself is beautiful and staff very helpful and friendly. Very highly recommend this hotel and the city of Luang Prabang.
