Little Paradise on Earth”
I'm not one for writing reviews or even score accommodations even though I enjoyed them... But this is one for the books: We arrived after a pleasant introduction to Bali in Kuta, Seminyak and Ubud. As Ubud (city) was fairly crowdy and noisey, we wanted to see the more easygoing side of the island: which by our best guess was North. The villa is situated right off the slim black sandy beaches, properly tucked away from the main road beside other quiet looking resorts and villas. We were welcomed by one of the very (sincerely) kind staff members, and even though we were way too early for check-in at 2 PM we were escorted to one of the cousy huts in front of the villa. A nice double bed with groovy sheets and proper klambu hanging from the ceiling was what we found inside; No TV, but who would need or even want one at a place like this? The main villa, at the time, was used by the owners (Putu and Matthew) and their little ones (Raymond, and yes, you guessed it, Selina). These guys (including their staff!), were absolutely lovely. Very helpful in providing anything we wanted or needed. We loved the kids and their pets (2 dogs and a kitty) who always bringing cheer to a relaxing day near the pool or beach. The best food (breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner) we have had in Bali (or even ever..) came from Putu and her girls in the kitchen. Served at any time and any location on the premises (of course within reason). During our stay, their driver (Ketut) drove us to Mt. Batur at 2 AM. He even arrived a bit early, so we were able to get a nice spot on the top to see the sunrise and enjoy the view. As we enjoyed this down to earth guy and his service we took his offer to bring us elsewhere on our way back down south. If you need a cooldown from all the south / central city hassle and / or enjoy Bali's sights, visit this wonderful little paradise! It will be a rejuvenating experience for families, couples or solo travelers. Cheers!

Peaceful, wonderful kids and hospitable staff!”
We loved getting to know Putu's family. The family-run place gave such a warm vibe during or stay, providing us with anything we needed and any info on activities and anything we needed to know about Bali. We're Muslim so we were at first concerned about the lack of halal food, but Putu was super accommodating to our needs and actually made a point to serve us only halal meat and cooking methods. Her cooking is delicious and we always looked forward to having our meals by the beach with the sea breeze. Selina and Raymond are just the sweetest kids and we learnt so much from them during our stay. The dogs Bintang and Cooper also played a part in making our stay a memorable one, always accompanying us everywhere we went but never overstepping the boundaries and respected our distance. We can't recommend Villa Selina enough! A beautiful place to unwind but also chock full of great activities nearby.

Where dreams can be lived”
Wonderful peacful setting in lush gardens overlooking the sea. Great friendly service by the hosts Matt, Putu, Selina, Rayray and team. Everthing is looked oafter and cared for. Just ask for what you want, ie. best massage of Bali, great tour recommendations, laundry, food or for the special wonderful coral reef tour led by Selina (8 year old doughter of owners) The only slight concern may be for people affected by heat, as only one of the villas has at the moment an AC unit. But the wonderful sea breaze and the fan keeps the non AC rooms also cool for a wonderful sleep. Best place to stay if you want to enjoy the wonderful nature of North Bali, have peace and great hosts. We would like to come back

Hidden Gem”
We only had one night at the Villa Selina but the staff were warm and friendly. We had the pleasure of having a beer with the owner and his family who took time out to make us more than welcome. The hotel is tucked away down this tiny little alleyway and is rather difficult to find, but once you find it,it's worth the effort. If you want to get away from it all, then this is the place for you.We are definitely heading back.

Peacefeful stay”
We stayed there for four nights, and we enjoyed every second of it. The place is ruled by a family and they make you feel like home. The rest of the staff is awesome too, they have always a smile and help in anything you should need. Its just next to a black and rocky beach, perfect for walking and relaxing. There is an awesome reef 200m walking of the villa where you will enjoy some good snorkeling and amazing views. Yound Selina and Ray, their daughter and son, will make you enjoy even more your stay in there.

Pure tranquility in familiar athmosphere”
Villa Selina is a peaceful, quiet spot in the north of Bali. We spent 8 nights with Mathew, Putu and their family. It was awesome and exactly what we were looking for at this time of our honeymoon journey. Putus fresh, jummy food was great especially while eating in front of the sea! There is a nice waterfall nearby you absolutely have to check out. Cool. Bondalem is a quiet place, dont forget to take some books with you.

Villa Selina isn’t for everyone .So stay it’s ours .”
Selina is delightfull . An Oasis in an increasingly crazy Bali. This is not a party it is a haven for the road weary traveller . A place to meditate ones past and charge up for the future .

Great escape ”
Firstly, we are surprised and shocked that Villa Selina located at a such rural area. Not even with a restaurant or convenience shop in a walking distance... We are totally isolated from the world (a real escape from the urban and get into the nature). When we arrived our room, it was nicely decorated to welcome us for our honeymoon stay. We took a shower after a tired long distance travel, and was caught by surprise that there was fresh Coconut drink well prepared outside our bungalow for us ... We took a rest after some walks and side seeing inside the villa as there was no where we can go... During dinner time, we was arrange for a romantic candlelight dinner by the beach! (Which was as a total private area), I had a great talk with my wife over the romantic dinner, which both of us enjoy very much ... Before bed, i requested for a breakfast waived due to an early schedule for the next day, and it surprised us again with the excellent offer from the villa to prepare our breakfast early at 4am to suit our departure. In overall, we had quite a number of surprise by the services provided, especially the fresh cold desert from the fridge and fresh hot breakfast direct from the kitchen in such an early morning,

Hidden jem”
I can't recommend this place enough. It was awesome! The owners were so kind and helpful. Their place is a beautiful garden right on the seashore. There's good enough waves for surfing; perfect for beginners and the owner has a selection of boards & water shoes he lends to his guest for free. There's a reef right near the beach for snorkeling. The bathroom was the best we had anywhere in Bali with an outdoor shower. The owners will provide tours to all the local attractions for very reasonable prices if you're interested or just give you advice for where to go if you want to travel on your own. They provide a good breakfast and their restaurant has many selections for sale all day & evening. Seriously, this was the best guesthouse in all of Bali!

Relaxing and quiet with delicious food options”
Villa Selena is a wonderful gem right on the beach. Clean pool with outdoor shower and beautiful gardens are tended to with care. The seating options offer many guests options of being outside and still feeling private. All the staff were extremely friendly, smiling, and so accommodating. The option to rent a motor bike, borrow surf / snorkling gear made it easy to take advantage of the ocean activities and the fresh and various food options (from fresh prawns, fish, and pork ribs) made for on-resort dining. Rooms and bathing areas were clean and working great. Thank you, Villa Selena for a wonderful experience!

The perfect beach break”
I stayed here for a few days to start my week in Bali and I loved it. It was a little out of the way so probably not idea for the backpacker looking to party or meet lots of new people, but it was the ideal place to relax and recoup from a rough couple months at work. I had a bungalow to myself that was a stone's throw to the ocean (the stone would have to be thrown over a small wall used to hold back the waves so not quite an ocean view though). There is some pretty decent snorkeling down the beach from the resort and the owner is happy to give you advice on where to look. For my money, this was exactly what I needed and the day trip excursions into the mountains kept me from going too stir crazy. I would definitely go back if I am ever in that part of the world again.

Hidden gem in North Bail”
We were warmly welcomed by Mat, Putu, kids and staffmembers and we were sorry to leave after 5 days. The villa is in beautiful surroundings with a reef just meters away. Mat organises trips, including dolphin watching. The Beach villa hut has a beautiful view. This is a great place if you are looking for peace and quiet

Magical, but a little rough around the edges”
With a few small improvements this could be the perfect getaway. An authentic taste of unspoilt Bali, friendly and welcoming, the location is peaceful and inviting. Access to a kettle, fridges in rooms, better towels and rooms properly sealed against mosquitos would make this place totally comfortable and impossible to fault. The food was the best I had in a month in Bali. In spite of the few drawbacks, I'd go back again.

B&B”
Villa Selina is a nice family home, located right on the ocean. One needs to cast aside expectations of infrastructure or proximity to anything of interest. There are no restaurants or public transport, and nothing for kids to do except use the small pool and play on the rocky beach. A ride to the town of Singaraja will cost you 40 dollars in car rental. Also, it is 4 hours from the airport (another 60 dollars).

complete rest”
Very restful, staff took care of our every need. No need to lift a finger if you don't want to, or take a tour with one of their drivers in comfort to look at the local sights. All transfers and tours organised by Mat or Putu with no need to haggle over price or hand over money, all goes onto your bill. Make sure you take some cash, as they have no eftpos or ATM's in the area.
