Got downgrade room and no refund ”
My deluxe room got downgrade because of their AC problem, the front office stuff pay me back 40USD when i complain for downgrading the category. Next morning another front office staff said that i have evil spirit to ask for refund on downgrade room, and said that they never work with Agoda so i am not suppose to have this booking blah blah blah. What ashame that opposite of this property is a temple call "The joy". I moved to another hotel afterwards, totally not recommend anyone especially if you travel alone (at one point he want to call police for i ask for refund downgrading my room). Best hospitality service ever. And not to mention my downgraded room have bed bug.

    Above average”
A mixed experience. When we enquired about staying here at the reception desk, the staff quoted a price more than double what was listed on Agoda for a standard double. We then booked online instead, and when we arrived to check in we were told the standard rooms were fully booked - thankfully we were upgraded to a deluxe room! The room was very good, just as advertised in the pictures, and the building itself is lovely and well located for the centre of luang prabang. However the experience with the staff at the hotel was disappointing, and they were very uninterested once we had checked in, bordering on rude at times.

It was hot and the a/c was not working. the bed mattress was stiff a/f. the staff members too was confused as what to do due to language barrier. they tried to help after the first complain about the a/c was made, but ignore the sweltering call for help the second. sorry guys, I will not recommend it for the dry season.

    Excellent hotel off Wat Sensoukharam”
Very friendly, helpful and well-informed staff. Some rooms (type "balcony") offer an excellent view to Wat Sensoukharam and the monks in the morning. The location of Villa Senesouk is ideal, just between the Mekong (Nam Khong) and Nam Khan. Cafes and restaurants are easily accessible.

Not grey for the price ”
I didn't think this place was good value at $50 a night. The room was small and the bathroom had a strange smell. The staff at reception were quite rude. Maybe would have been worth it if we had a room with a balcony, which would have had a lively view of the temples opposite

I always stay here, primarily for the location. For me, it is a must to have a room with a balcony overlooking the temples and the morning procession of monks.

Convenient to move around. Plenty of restaurants and the night market is nearby. Staff is not friendly or helpful at all. Communication is a big problem since most of them do not understand nor speak English.

Centrally located and clean but the hotel staff are not friendly or helpful. ”
This hotel seems to be managed by a group of young inexperienced staff who can't communicate in English. One of them (Xay) is not an honest or nice person to deal with. Prior to our arrival, we sent an email to enquire about the cost of airport transfer to the hotel which he replied , would cost us USD20. Its an exorbitant rate so we declined and told him that we would find our own way to the hotel. Despite of this, he still send someone to pick us up and insisted on charging us USD20 for a 15 minute ride to the hotel. After some haggling, we paid USD15 which is above the market rate. On the day of our departure, he charged us the same rate which is USD15 . What is most annoying is this Zay still insisted on sending someone to pick us when we had clearly said no. It's a nice hotel with a good location but no service rendered because the staff are always busy playing with their hand phones.
