Nice resort”
I reserved the room during a sale from Agoda. I wanted to stay there since it was featured in the Siargao movie. The location is quite far from the busy part of General Luna but so near a public beach and Cloud 9. I loved their bunk beds, though it needs to improve its ventilation. Overall, it's worth my money.

Budget Stay”
PROs: Common Space Free use of kitchen and fridge Restaurant - expensive food though Clean restroom Free cabinet - bring your own padlock Early check-in Close to Harana Bar and 5-10 min walk to Cloud9 CONs: Spotty wifi Lots of mosquitoes No water after 10pm I think you’ll find better accommodation nearby.

Disorganized Staff”
i upgraded my room to 1BR from bunk beds and paid the changes upon arrival but when i was checking out they forbid me saying i still need to pay the difference. I tried so hard and many times explained the situation to the staff but all she was saying was that per their manager i still did not pay it. They could have already validated it when i showed them my receipt that it was already paid and i couldn't have faked it. Also, they should have called the receptionist in charged when i paid during the 1st day and not almost make me late on my flight.

One Of Siargao's Very Budget-friendly Hotel With A Very Convenient Location ”
Definitely a good choice for those who are traveling on their own. I got to meet a lot of people during my stay here. A lot of tourists encounter lack of water supply and even having to deal with a power outage, but luckily, during my stay in Villa Solaria, I did not experience any of these inconveniences. Be reminded though that their front desk does not run for 24 hours so, should you have a really, really late check-in, it's best to inform them ahead of time. The location is also very strategic as it's right in the middle of GL's best food finds and nightlife. Right across it is Aventino's Pizza and Pasta and is in the middle of Harana and Siargao Bleu which has really, really good food and drinks.

Decent”
Booked in at the dorm style, shared bedroom. Bed is so-so, the only pillow provided is severely crushed already. There's a ceiling fan, but the wind from it barely reaches the bed because of the mosquito net and the blanket for privacy, which blocks the wind which makes it slightly uncomfortable You're lucky if you get one of the beds near the wall fan. That seems to be a more effective ventilation. Overall, not so bad.

Villa Solaria is a great place for Solo travellers. Thought I'll be lonely since it's my first time travelling alone but no, it was the opposite. I met new friends, thanks to their common area! The owner is very nice, you can talk to him about Siargao and other stuffs. Solaria is a walking distance from Cloud 9 so you can save money for paying the habal-habal. You can cook at their kitchen and get hot water for free for your coffee. Overall, I'm happy that I chose Villa Solaria. Thanks Paul and staff for my wonderful stay.

Very comfortable stay”
We were not able to get the room we booked because there were a lot of guests that time. Sir Pal had to check and consider other options. Fortunately he found a great room for all of us and we had a comfortable place to spend 5 nights. We just had to endure 2 nights of water supply shortage but the villa managed to provide enough gallons of water so we can all take a decent bath, etc. it's a great place to stay in Siargao, i promise! 🙂

5 min on foot to Cloud 9 and others surf spots. They rent boards for 300 or recommending other places to do that. Wifi was not working all the time, but this is the place to surf not to browse. Cheers!

Good value for money”
The owner is very kind. He welcomed me when I arrived. He was also at the reception area when I left at 4AM. The common area is spacious for socialisation. You can do a lot of things with other travelers. It has a kitchen area for cooking. Wifi is working (only at the dining area). The only problem I had was the smoking habit of other travelers near the bunk bed area because the smell of cigarette is not good when you are trying to fall asleep. Though there are signages telling them where to smoke, they still were doing it near the bunk bed areas. I think that the owner or the staff ensure to remind the guests to smoke only at designated areas. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay. And I can definitely recommend it to my friends and other travelers.

4 nights stay in Villa Solaria - Bungalow for 5pax”
4 nights stay in Villa Solaria - Bungalow for 5pax Value for money - There are three AC in bungalow and two electric fans. However, all of them cannot be opened at the same time. The power will be short and it will cause the electricity to restart or shutdown. Hot shower is available but sometimes the water is off or not available. Also, shared kitchen can be access near reception. An additional fee for cooking will be charged if you heat and/or cook your own meal. Mug and hot water in dispenser is free. Location - Location is great but no access to beach. You need to go to harana beside villa solaria to access beach at the back. Cleanliness - When we arrived our room is clean, rest room and second floor. Staff - Xoxo. Nothing much to say since I have no interaction other than paying my agoda balance at the reception. Facilities - It is great, we used the mugs and their got hot water from water dispenser provided near reception for free.

Good for a short stay”
Its near cloud 9 but far from the food center in GL. Expensive for tricycle rides. The water was turned off during the night so u cant wash up after u have ur night out. I recommend to cut out some plants in the surrounding area of the cottage for better view of the place and some fresh air to come in. In the 2nd floor of the cottage we booked was so hot coz the aircon cant reach the area, so we decided to put the mattress in the floor downstairs. Pros, paul was very accommodating and fun to talk to. Overall we enjoyed our stay in siargao! Only that pls improve villa solaria for better experience. Thank u!

Above average”
This place is ideal to stay if you’re traveling on a tight-budget. However, it really comes with the price, the bed is okay but it needs proper ventilation, specially at noon, its very humid. Though its an open place, the air is not enough. There are electric fans but they placed it on a high ceiling to the point where their guests would not be able to feel the air coming from the electric fan anymore. And their staff... it feels like you’re not welcome to stay there. They are not accommodating us. Specially the wife of the owner. She’s so rude. She only put a smile on her face whenever she’s talking to a foreign guest, but with a local guest, she’s very rude. And they could’ve at least give their drinking water for free, but you still have to pay 25pesos every refill. And they don’t provide free padlocks for their lockers, you have to buy it for 50pesos.

CONS: There was POOR electricity supply. Our room did not even got to cool for three days because the electricity keep on switching off. Every other hour, there’s water interruption! I wouldn’t mind bathing in unclear and salty water, but having not to bathe at all, after swimming and doing outside activities under the scorching heat of the sun? No. PROS: The location is excellent! Very close to restaurants and bars. The staff tried to help to the best of their abilities. The room is nice, theme coordinated, and spacious, although not as clean as you would want it to be.

Surfer's Paradise in Siargao. 😃🌴”
I stayed here for 5D4N for a project. The place is so cool! 😎 It's like a secret garden in Siargao. I stayed in one of their bunk beds and it's a good experience. My 1st time to travel alone and stayed in a hostel. Tho they have very nice AC bungalows but I rather choose the bunks for "surfer experience." PROS: ✔ location - very near to cloud 9, 5min walk is NOT that bad for health 🏃 ✔ value for money - stayed in one of their bunk beds and it's a great experience👌 ✔ crew - one of the friendliest people I met 🙏 ✔ booze - always have a beer ready 🍻 ✔ cozy - the main common area is a good place to meet and chat with other guests. You can also cook your own food on their guest's kitchen. ✔ owner - friendly and cool owner 😎 CONS: ⚠upgrade - needs to upgrade their showers and toilets. ⚠repair - need to repair their roof for leaks, tho it's only for some part of the common area Overall, I would recommend this place for a great stay in Siargao! I will definitely come back! 😀👋

UNPLEASANT STAY EVER”
I have traveled and stayed in different hostels but never been this much disappointed before. I requested for airport pick-up service weeks before the arrival, but the receptionist just forgot about it and my friend had to wait for 2hours. The receptionist was keep saying he is just a day-time worker that was not informed about any pick-up service and the son of the owner was making an excuse that his dad is now in the States who probably received my request like it was nobody's fault but the one who was not around. When we finally checked in, the water ran out and the light was almost dead that we can hardly do our stuff in the room. Definitely not recommending!
