Overall very nice resort”
Amenities is were it stood amongst other resort. The beach has its own offering. Rocks are very nice for photo ops. There is no wide sand here. But sea is perfect for lounging and strolling. Rooms may need maintenance check at once. Overall very satisfied. May stay longer if had more time.
This is a nice place for a quick getaway or better if you are staying for a longer period of time since it is 6 hours away from Metro Manila. The pictures are quite accurate except for the beach since you have to cross the street before going to the beach. The staff are very accommodating and helpful.
Pros . The staff were really nice , welcoming . The room was very clean . Good swimming pools can use till 1100 pm . Great ambience . Cons. The restaurant is not that great . It has cats coming in when we dine in . Several times I had to stop eating to move it out .
The location is very good - near the beach itself and other spots are easily reachable by trike. The staff are also very accomodating and kind, they are very quick in responding to our needs. The room is very clean and spacious, and the amenities did not disappoint. The only comment I have is the lack of wifi in the room that was assigned to us. Would love to go back again here. Highly recommended!
Nice place to stay”
Our stay with Villa Soledad beach resort was a great experience, except for our first night as a group of people staying at the resort were inconsiderate enough to have their drinking session up to 2am with shouting and super loud singing.. Overall stay was excellent...
A really nice resort setting.”
The place is very beautiful has really nice swimming pools and volleyball court. There's not a beach to swim in but you can walk in knee deep water and its very beautiful. The staff is very helpful but the office closes at 10 p.m. The place is a seven hour drive from manila. The restaurant food is just ok but very overpriced. It is a long drive to a town with stores. We got the two room family suite, but at 12,000 pesos a night it's pricey. I would stay there again.
we booked for 3 nights and we only stayed 1 night.lots of ants and mosquitos in our room.Reccomend to spend more money and find a better place to stay.
Nice place to stay. Only said to see plastic flowers all around in the restaurant and rooms. Would be better with fresh plants than plastic. Food is good, only negative is that the restaurant closes at 9 pm, and they will charge you 50 peso's for a bucket of yellow if you are short of it, you order beers ahead of closing but the ice is at extra charge. Staff is very good and helpful.
Good enough accommodation”
The hotel had kind and accommodating staff. Friendly ang really helpful. The place was huge and has a nice clean pool with just the right water temperature. It also offers the Php1,000 land travel tour that’ll take you to different areas of Bolinao. They serve good food in the restaurant but had small portions and was a bit overpriced. Beer was at Php60 per bottle. The room was spacious but the A/C was NOT cold at all and the orientation of the restroom was that the shower was right in front and on top of the toilet without any dividers / division. The hotel is FAAAR from Patar White Beach. It’ll take you roughly another 5-8km to get there although transportation was not a problem as there were tricycles passing through the road all the time. Basically, if you need a peaceful place to sleep just for the night then this might be for you. But, if you’d like to stay and enjoy the beach with a little of cash on hand, then this isn’t the place for you. P.S.: Had to include these info as the details of the resort didn’t say much.
not that its the resort’s fault, but bolinao is 6hrs drive from manila. if u dont mind driving far for an ok beach (nothing fancy: shallow, clean beach with cool sunset), this is a clean and well maintained resort. we only stayed overnyt so we didnt get to explore the other areas near bolinao.
Great place in great location at a great price”
Great for seeing all the local tourist sites. Hire a tricycle and driver for 1000 pesos for the day and he'll take you round all the sites. The rooms are fine, staff ate very helpful and facilities, including swimming pools are great.
Nice place. Staffs are friendly. Perfect to spend holidays especially with loved ones. Commendation to the staff who gave us discount for the addtl matress since my companion, my father is celebrating his bday on that day. :) Very commendable.
Good staff and we like the pool a lot”
We enjoyed the pool so much. I like the facilities they have small park for kids which our children enjoyed as well. They have a good staff as well.
Stayed a couple of nights at this resort. Nice beach area, secluded location and good facilities at the resort. Rooms are very small though. Bathroom is tiny with shower over the toilet area. This is the only negative though.
I booked a Family Room for our family of 4 adults and 4 kids for a room good for 6 adults and 3 kids (according to Agoda). The receptionist and other staff were friendly. Check-in was smooth and fast, although I was called by the receptionist later on and they were demanding an additional 600 pesos from me for the 2 additional kids. I argued that their Agoda Page said that the room can accommodate 6 adults + 3 kids stay for free if using the same bed, and then they told me that there is extra charge for persons above 6. Anyway, Villa Soledad is a nice place. Our room is small with 2 double deck beds and 1 double bed. Besides the aircon, there is a ceiling fan and wall fan. The room and linens are clean. The bed comfy. There is a 32-inch TV with limited cable channels. There is a bathroom with hot/cold shower and free basic toiletries. There is also a personal ref. There are 3 swimming pools, basketball and volleyball courts, billiard tables for free. There is also a chapel.
At the arrival we were shown to our room, which was so tiny there would not have been room for our luggage, so we changed to larger room, as we were the only guests within this large compound it was not a problem, but they said we have to pay extra. We wanted to stay 6 days but after 3 days we had enough of this place. The room was never cleaned and never changed towels and the receptionist told us at the time of check-out she was waiting for us to tell them........what? never heard of such nonsense before. We had to pay additional Peso 1000 for the larger room, although we were the only guests!!!! (totally overprized) The place was shut down at 9.00 pm, locked and we felt we were in a prison. The beach (if you want to call it a beach) was dirty and seemed like has not be cleaned in a few weeks. The bathroom was horrible with no water pressure at all. This was place is completely overpriced, needs a complete done over and I urge people to stay somewhere else (no wonder we were the only guests)
location is too far from Patar Beach, but friendly Staffs”
I would like to recommend this place especially with family outings. Work on getting extra generator.
Resort in front of Potipot Island ”
The resort is right in front of Potipot Island. The pool is small, the resort is okay. We rented the courtyard which is full of mosquitos, we sprayed mosquito killer but didn’t work. I think they didn’t changed the bed sheets too. The staffs are friendly nice, the beach has a dark sand which maybe other people won’t mind swimming on it, but Potipot Island is way better so I didn’t really saw people swimming from the resort. They try their best to make the resort clean but for the quality of their rooms, they should lower the price. It’s okay if you will stay for the night going to Potipot, otherwise I won’t recommend it.
It was a pleasant experience!”
It wasn't crowded at all when we visited. I didn't expect the resort to be huge. Plus it has access to the beach. But you can already have fun at their kiddie and adult pools already. It was vibrant and kid friendly with the playground and pool slide. You can sing at their karaoke and play billiard inside the resort. Room was pleasant enough to stay in. There's a dirty kitchen at the Junior Suite room we booked. I would recommend this place to those who want to stay in Bolinao :)
Far from city. I nly transportation is tricycles which are noisy, uncomfortable and expensive. Hotel room was tiny and toilet was very smelly due to rusty water pipes. Families with small children may find this resort suitable as they have swimming pools and some other facilities to occupy children's time.
