I highly recommend anyone visiting Chiang Mai to stay in Villa Thai Orchid. You definitely get value for money. The room felt like a relaxing oasis after days of walking around visiting all there is to see in Chiang Mai and around. The room feels almost luxurious and there is everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is very kind, speak good English and they helped us with everything we needed. We appreciated when they asked if we wanted our room cleaned. The location of the hotel is excellent: one of the weekend markets takes place right on the next street (and still the hotel is so quiet) and the others are not far away either. There are nice restaurants and cafes nearby and the street where the hotel is located is nicely calm and quiet. We are late sleepers so we only had the breakfast on our last morning and we instantly regretted not having it sooner. The choice is good and there is so much more available than what you choose from the breakfast menu. The breakfast area itself had a stylish cafe vibe. The hotel reception area is also very neat and stylish. Stay here if you want a relaxing and comfortable stay!

Best staff ”
I got lots of help from the owners and staff They always did more than what I expected They found a great taxi driver for us so we could visit many places near Chiang Mai. They even printed out our itinerary to the driver to make sure we get to the places we planned since the driver only knows a little English. They made different reservations for us and even pre-paid the money when it was required. They delivered our luggages to our next hotel in the old city. This service is free. My niece lost her purse. They tried to phone the shop to find out if the shop owner saw it. But no one answered the phone so Ms. A said that she would go to the shop in person right away to talk to the owner. And it was near 9 pm at night. Thank you, A & Kong and all the staff in Villa Thai Orchid. If we visit Chiang Mai again, You will be the first and the only hotel we choose～

Wow, don’t go anywhere else”
A fantastic hotel right in the centre of old town, Sunday night market just around the corner. Was greeted out front on arrival, slippers were provided. We were early for checkin, our bags were taken and we were offered complementary tea and coffee in the lobby, this was available free of charge throughout our stay with tea, coffee, fruit, toast, orange juice & yoghurt avail - even better was the free daily laundry service. Nothing was too much trouble for A & Kong running the hotel, rooms were a good sized, modern and great condition. The daily breakfast available as part of rate was delicious, around 8 different options available the food was cooked to order. Additional cereal, toast and hot beverages were all available in the breakfast area. They went above and beyond, my father is diabetic and I asked if they had equal instead of sugar, they did not have however to our surprise the next morning there were packets of equal available - they went and got them especially (we did not ask!) this is service, a second example was it was my mums bday, all the staff greeted her and was gifted slices of cake to celebrate. You cannot fault this hotel, best I’ve ever stayed at, for the price it’s beyond belief.

Both staff members (who I suspect are the owners) are extremely great, super kind-hearted and very supportive. I absolutely loved this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect in the center. If you don't like stairs, maybe request a room on the first floor as climbing stairs 2 times could be a hassle, but for young individuals, it shouldn't be a problem. I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Don't expect a luxurious 5-star hotel, but a super clean and super friendly environment to stay

This is my favorite hotel in the world! I have travelled all over and this is the only hotel that feels like home. The staff are so thoughtful and kind, the breakfast is delicious (beef stew for me, French toast for my partner), sparklingly clean, and the location is the most convenient! I have stayed here during 2 trips and the next time I come back to Chiang Mai I will stay here again. If you are thinking about booking, do it. This place is heaven!

Everything about Villa Thai Orchid is the absolute best: - the staff is absolutely super friendly and helpful - the hotel is extra clean.. all guests leave their shoes outside and everything is cleaned to perfection - the location couldn’t be better: in 15 sec you reach the Sunday Night market walking street and Wat Chedi Luang.. but it’s still extra quiet for having a good sleep - the breakfast is super tasty, you get no limit drinking water bottles - and and and.. simply awesome: it’s hard to find a better accommodation: in Chiang Mai and in general :-)

Best location in the old city”
My review will be divided in 3 sections 1)Location: Thai villa is located in the old city close to many temples and tasty restaurants. You can literally walk 10 mins and get to the best restaurants in town without having to worry about transportation. Also nearby, you will find a 7/11 nearby in case you need to buy a sim card. 2)Staff and service: this family business is charming. We were always greeted with a smile. We booked 2 nights but we extended our stay for a total of 14 days. The staff speak excellent English and they were always ready to meet all our needs. 3)Room: We loved our room, it was big, clean and most importantly QUIET. This Villa is an ideal location for people that want to relax and rest in their room after a long day of activities. The AC is not loud like in other hotels and you have access to a fridge to store your drinking water. Also, the hotel offered a complementary laundry service which we really appreciated. I give this location a solid 9.5/10 AND I recommend it. My one complaint is that THAI pillows are a bigger than western pillows. Some guests might find them a little uncomfortable but we mostly got used to them by the 2nd night. Best Javi and Cami from Canada

I chose this place based on ratings, was not disappointed. Everything about my stay was perfect from the moment I got here until I left. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in while in Thailand. The rooms are very clean, and very comfortable. The hotel manager was excellent. Extremely friendly and also really care that your stay with them is good. They have a coffee corner that offers free water, orange juice, bread and bananas, they also provide a free laundry service, which I have never seen before. It is extremely useful. What a great service!

We loved every detail about this hotel. It feels like home away from home! Perfect location; in the downtown but extremely quiet. Everything is extremely clean and room is comfy. Staff is absolutely amazing, with all different ways to ensure we enjoy our stay in Chiang Mai; Helping out with finding the perfect tours for our needs at a really decent price, Recommending us an excellent restaurant (Kat's Kitchen), Offering thaï slippers, extra towels for the tours to visit the elephants, laundry (!!), light breakfast and drinking water. Ultra amazing stay in Chiang Mai”
Never doubt anymore. If you come to Chiang Mai stay at Villa Thai Orchid. It's a 5 star service! They have an incredible team at the reception. Superfriendly and do anything to make the best of your stay. The rooms are great. Very good bed, decent bathroom very good shower. The airco also worked very well. In a very short time it was colder in the room. Extra nice is the rest area in the lobby of the hotel were you can get water, orange juice, coffee and toast bread always. This is great. They also helped me booking my tours. Excellent stay!

This little hotel is everything you need: perfect location (the Sunday market will be 10 meters away) and there are so many restaurants, shops and temples less than 5 mins distance. The owner is a wonderful person, kind and gentle was there to help and support with booking bus tickets, recommendations to some amazing less popular markets and everything else I could have asked. Even without breakfast you’ll have access to 24hrs water, juices, yeast, coffees, bread and toasted with jams and Nutella. The room is the perfect size, bathroom has everything you need, the bed and pillows super comfortable. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you for this perfect stay, just what I needed.

Great service from the owners”
We stayed at Villa Thai Orchid for a few nights and it was a really pleasant experience. The room was really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent, you could choose from 6 different set of breakfast and apart from that, you had coffee, tea, bread, jam, nutella and orange juice at anytime included. Kong and A were super helpful and friendly with us, they kindly help us with everything we needed. From setting our daily tours, giving advice on transport, adjust the breakfast time for our convenience and even call the vaccination centre for us which was really helpful in our situation. They made us feel at home and we are grateful for their help. We would definitely come back if we are in Chiang Mai again and we certainly recommend this hotel for everyone who is looking for a welcoming and pleasent stay in Chiang Mai.

Villa Thai Orchid was te best place to stay on our whole journey. It was perfectly located, in the heart of Chiang Mai but in a still location, very helpful and nice staff, complimentary water and juice, small but perfectly functional kitchen with complimentary snacks, spacious and clean room with (once more complimentary) laundry service - a perfect place to stay, worth every penny you spend there.

The location is great for people who want to stay inside of old town because the hotel is centrally located and very close to Wat Chedi Luang. There is a 7/11 close by which is a bonus. The room is super clean, quiet with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is again super clean with high presser shower. The owner is a super friendly couple who will make you feel very welcome.

My partner and I had the best stay here. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Location was spectular, close to restaurants, bars, temples and walking markets. Daily complimentary laundry service was offered and was much appreciated . I broke my ankle off property, and when the staff learned off it, they were so kind and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Ms Am and her team are amazing, and they made me feel at home immediately. Extremely comfortable bed with crisp linen, exceptionally clean everywhere in this family run hotel, down an alley so it's quiet, 20 steps to the Sunday Walking Street, and free supply of drinking water, milk, orange juice, etc. No elevator in this 3-story hotel but they helped carry my luggage when I check-in and check-out. I'll definitely go back to Villa Thai Orchid the next time when I'm in Chiang Mai Old City.
