your Family in the Philippines”
I wish I could have stayed longer at the Villa Travelista, while it is tricky for the tricycle drivers to find (it's new & there is no place by the road for a sign), the beautiful family who own and run this hotel more than make up for that. I regret I have forgotten their names but the daughter who is receptionist is so lovely and helpful as well as the youngest daughter who is school-age. The owner treated me as one of his own, making sure I was comfortable, arranging a City Tour with one of his friends at a very good price and driving me to the shuttle terminal on my last day. I miss these lovely people and will def stay with them upon my return to Puerto Princesa :)

Feels like home”
The group found a home away from home. Though, we spent most of our times outside touring Puerto Princesa, it is difficult not to take notice how hospitable the people in Villa Travelista are. They are very comfortable to talk and to be with, and thus our stay. They provided us more than a place to sleep and rest. Thanks.

Home away from home”
We arrived midnight from our travel in El Nido but instead of charging us, they allowed us to check-in immediately so we got an additional night stay for free. The room was also clean and well-maintained, but I think the best part about staying in Villa Travelista are the people. They're very accommodating, it really felt like I was talking to my relatives. Whether it was asking us about our trip or telling us to take care of ourselves. I think it stems from how they run the hotel at their own home. The stay felt more personal rather than the standard hotel stay that maybe better but feels manufactured and impersonal. Overall, a great place that I will surely go to again.

Overall a very good experience”
We stayed at the lodge for 4 days and with the short visit, we felt very home-y throughout our stay at Villa Travelista. The couple who owns and manages the place are indeed very warm and swift at attending to our requests/needs. They also have tours you can avail at very affordable rates. The lodge though is a bit secluded and is new to public transport drivers so have them instruct your drivers for direction.

I had a pleasent stay and do recommend it at all”
I had a fab stay in Villa Travelista. It's a family run place, all of them are very friendly and let you feel like you're a part of the family. Very welcoming people at all! They don't mind to walk the extra mile for their guests and are willing to help in any way. The room was very clean and spacious, nothing to complain at all.

Practical Choice”
We are traveling for experience, and Villa Travelista is a good choice. We only needed a place to rest at night after tours and all and they have provided that. For me, it was a good thing that they don't have any TV in rooms because it reminded me to stay out of the room and enjoy nature. "Arrive as a stranger, leave as a Friend" indeed! Ms. Amie and her family are nice people to talk to. Highly recommended. Will come back again. :)

Home-y feel”
You stay in the host families home and it was a bit awkward for us as we were in the room right next to the families tv room. Sound was never a problem but you felt like you had to be extra aware of where you were. There was no hot water and no toilet seat on the toilet. The ac did work and the family was friendly and interested in our travels. It isn't in a great location if you don't like walking 15-20 minutes to get to the main area of Puerto Princesa. The tricycle drivers also had a hard time finding it. Overall, the stay was so so. If you want peace and to be out of the main town, this place is for you.

I will be staying here again, SOON!”
It was nice that this hotel forms part of the awesomest stay at Palawan. Tita and Tito actually was our parents when we stayed there. We almost had separation anxiety because of the hospitailty they gave us. Our flight was at night and Tita asked us to stay a little longer without any additional costs. We were like family for 4 days! And I hope that Tita and Tito would know how much we appreciate all those deeds. For a traveler like me, I definitely will recommend this hotel for this represents a value for money!

friendly family and good location”
Good location,it’s very near the airport,if you take a local motorbike,if’s only cost 50P. Here is a family hotel run by a very nice family, they were so friendly, just like stay in the home, there also have a lovely dog, don’t forget make friends with her. If you have any question about the El nido or local information, you can just ask the host, they will be happy to help you. The breakfast was cool,i love the local food. The only thing not perfect is that they don’t have hot water, maybe because of the local people used to take cool shower,i went to several hostel, they all don’t have hot water. Any way, here is a very nice place for stay,it’s worthy for your money.Philippines is really really nice country for travel, the beautiful sight, local food, specially the local friendly people, hope I can come back soon.

The place is clean and accessible. ”
The place is really clean. Given that the villas are nippa huts, there are no bugs found. The comfort room is also clean. It is also airconditioned so you get to relax even more. Aside from it, the place is quiet even though it is just around the city. Airport is just 10-15 min away. Other than that, Tita Amy, her husband and kids are so kind and hospitable.

Staff at this villa were phenomenal, they used my name often in interactions, provided tailored restaurant advice (great vegetarian restaurant nearby) and I was happy with the room and fast wifi.

Disappointment”
We came here due to fantastic reviews this place earned (you can rarely see a place with Agoda rating of 8.7!) but unfortunately our stay at Villa Travelista was a disappointment. Location-wise, it’s far from the tourist center, 30-min walk from the airport. It’s hard to find as it’s not on the main street and the path leading to it is bumpy which might be a challenge at night. Catching a tricycle getting you from there to anywhere else in town is difficult as they rarely go on that little street. The room was really small, so was the double bed. Bathroom was microscopic, had no mirror and while the room itself was clean, the bathroom would need a decent clean-up. And the towels – while I know it’s a minor issue – are the very special kind which actually do not dry your body… Be prepared, there is no hot water available. Flush is not working well… Electricity is available 24/7 which is a plus. Walls are thin so you can hear other guests and the owners walking, talking, laughing, shouting, snoring etc. Wifi was completely unreliable and even on those occasions when it was working, it was really slow. If you are seriously thinking of doing anything continuous online (we really needed it to buy tickets and do the research), you won’t do it there. Breakfast was disappointing, the portions were small and served cold (cold fried egg is hardly tasty) On the other hand the family running this place is indeed very nice and attentive, so it’s a big plus. They happily recommend things to do and make sure you know how to reach all the attractions. They are kind and warm and you indeed feel very welcomed there. But this is just one dimension shaping overall experience. All in all, it’s an OK place to stay but that’s it. We do not understand why it earned so many ecstatic reviews. We quickly decided to change it.

Budget friendly lodging”
Was looking for a cheap play to stay the night after a late flight to PP and an early trip to PPUR and El Nido the following day. The rooms were tiny but clean and bare necessities were provided. There were only a handful of rooms in the 'house' and the walls were a bit thin. Set realistic expectations for the stay and for the price. The owners were wonderful, they even let us leave our bags in our room no charge while we went to PPUR and we waited for our El Nido shuttle in their outdoor patio area while they spent a few minutes chatting with us. Great value, good place to stay. A few minutes ride to airport and food but NOTE that tricycles don't usually go this way unless they are dropping off someone.

Exceptional”
The price is good for the place and the location although the facility needs to have some maintenance especially the restroom (it is clean but not fragrant and the dipper is broken, the shower has no place to hang to, and nowhere to hang your clothes when bathing). The room is good and clean though.

Worthwhile stay.”
The room was nice, it was worth the price we paid for. The family, the owner of the villa, took good care of us. They were very accommodating and approachable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place.

Great stay at this lovely family ”
I was really happy with my stay! The family that runs the place definitely was very kind to me. They allowed me to check in early (9:30h) and gave me some little breakfast since I arrived from Manila and had very little sleep. I also was impressed they let me check out late on the day after - as I only had 1 day to go to the underground river tour and was back by 16h. They helped me to book both the tour and the van to El Nido (I do not recommend the van though it is another story). The 2 daughters and mum were around and we had long chats as I was travelling solo. I recommend the place for short stay. To make it perfect I would recommend only a better shower facility. It is not so central but easily reachable by tricycle.
