Ok, so it was our honeymoon and did some hotel hopping. By far, the best value we found. Best beach, best hotel. No private access at the moment so you have to walk on the beach a little to get there, but the hotel provides people to carry any luggage from parking to room. Classy place. Museum collection quality decorations, and much more. Amazing place. We both wish we had found this one earlier and we probably would not have need to switch so many times.

As a temporary measure, we don't have direct transportatin to the resort but a land transportation from Panglao Airport/ Tagbilaran Seaport will bring you to Dumaluan beach, and all your luggage will be carried by the resort staff and you will take a 5 minutes walk until you reach the portals of the resort. Villa Umi was an excellent holiday destination. The location was excellent, the staff Jason, Jake, Harry were very attentive and helpful. The view from the front is breathtaking. Aqua water stretching waist high for 60 metres and warm. Couldn't think of a better place for a quiet, relaxing holoiday.

Best place to stay for a relaxing holiday”
The staff is very friendly and help you in any situation, if you need assistance. The hotel is located at Dumaluan Beach the more quiet place compared to Alona. The beach is wonderful, crystal clear blue water and less other tourists. If you like to spend a night out Alona is near and you can reach it in a few minutes by tricycle. If we will travel again in this region, we will definitely come back!

The most relaxing beachfront”
I will always choose this hotel location (Dumaluan beach) over the well-hyped Alona beach. The place is very peaceful and makes me sleep well at night, and I can wake up with a relaxing view in the morning. The area is not so commercialised, which means the long stretch of white fine powdery sand beachfront is truly enjoyable. Upon arrival, we have to walk a short distance going to the hotel since there is "Road Right of Way" issues with a private land owner. This is not an issue for us since we get to explore the beachfront, and the hotel staff is ready to help. The room is very spacious for a family of 4, and the interior/terrace has a relaxing view of the beachfront. The food tastes good as well, although a bit overpriced. Special thanks to Kuya Bryan for treating my feet when I got stung by sea urchin. (Please wear aqua shoes always when going farther the beach where there are lots of seaweeds.) Special thanks to all the staff for answering our queries and cater all our requests.

We stayed there for 4 days. We initially considered something at Alona Beach and we were lucky with our decision. Visited Alona Beach for 2 hours (disaster!) while Villa Umi was exactly what we were looking for. Small villa, with amazing beach, peaceful, friendly staff willing to help with any need we had.

Amazing beach, friendly staff”
We really enjoyed our stay of 5 nights, the staff were really friendly and really loved our daughter. We came from Siquijor, so the price hike on food was a bit of a surprise but it is a really lovely place to stay. I recommended walking across the beach to the right, turn right again at the public section and walking up the hill to the Italian at the crossroads. It's clean and offers something different as you are a little stuck for choice on this place u less you take a tricycle or hire a moped I lnto town. Theservice was great, they help you with your bags to your room and back for nothing extra (thank god!) As it's about 1/4 mile from the van drop off! I also recommend checking out the sunset there, the colours are amazing!

We really enjoyed stay in Villa Umi. The beach is right in front of the hotel and staffs were super nice. The only one bad thing is there is no road and you need staff’s help to carry your bags and you should go to another resort to take a taxi. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!

Pros; 1) great service from all the staff. 2) nice, clean and spacious room. 3) nice private front beach. Cons: Shower needs attention. There is no warm water to shower. Hot water it comes for 5 seconds every 5 minutes. Most of quests like me likes to take a warm shower after a day in the beach. It is very uncomfortable and annoying. I would only come back if then property would assure me that this issue has been fixed. Everything else was just fantastic.

A true paradise”
Beautiful beach, right from our room. Room was on the first floor. So there was a little very small ant, but room was very clean. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. A surprisingly delicious mango shake! Villa Umi was a real heaven. We were so peaceful and happy everyday. I will be coming back next time.

Great view but not convenient location”
The view and the beach is breathtaking. But the property doesn't has its own road. Therefore we have to take their minivan, on a extremely bumpy road for like 5 mins to go to the connection road(which is also very tiny). The minivan is extremely tiny and can't sit straight..... Other then that, the hotel and the staffs are great.. only wish the road is fixed.

Construction place in the hotel, extremely overpriced ”
Pro: Nice beach Spacious, clean room Friendly staff Large choice of breakfast menus Cons: - Construction place at the hotel with was not declared. We realised when we were there. The hotel builds new rooms. Worker start at 7:00-7:30 am so sleeping longer is not possible. Lobby is open with some corrugated sheet iron at the side of the lobby. - Low waterpressure with changing water temperature from hot to cold in seconds - no warm water at the sink in the bathroom, only room temperatured water comes out there - no pool oder real „area“. The whole area consists of the building itself, the restaurant right in front which is also public and a row with sun beds at the public beach. Overall for 250 USD per night for room and breakfast it is way overpriced for what you get especially with a construction place right at the hotel with lasts at least until March 2020. Would not recommend even though the staff is friendly.

This resort is located right in front of the beach. It is not a very big resort but just right if you’re looking a quiet and less crowded placeCurrently it only has four rooms and all of the four rooms has a balcony facing the ocean, which is what I loved the most. The room was spacious and clean. They provide free towels, canoeing and volleyball for room guests. The breakfast is also free and you’ll get to pick from three styles: Chinese, Healthy and Western.
