The resort is in a quiet area but we were able to walk into the main town within 10 mins. the restaurant offers good food and overlooks the river. the pool is clean and refreshing. The staff are very helpful and happy - the room was clean and very comfortable but a bit small - it didnt bother us though. The bathroom was huge with top ups of all the lotions and potions every day. the bungalow has a patio where you can sit and unwind. The wifi was a tad slow but we got through ok in the end. There was some building work going on which is necessary to keep a resort fresh and modern - building work seems to be happening all over Laos. The town was not full of drunk teenagers due to new laws concerning the high death rate of drownings when tubing. We enjoyed our tubing experience alone of the river for 2 hours drifting with the current amongst the fantastic scenery. We stayed at Villa Vang Vieng Riverside for 5 days and loved it.

Beautiful ground and beautiful view”
The resort-like hotel is the most beautiful hotel we saw in Vang Vieng. Absolutely gorgeous ground and wonderful view of the river and mountains from the pool area and restaurant. Eating at the restaurant in the evening time is a good experience, eating while watching the sunset over the river and mountains. Pool is very clean and beautiful. Rooms are OK. Bathroom is overly huge. I wish they made the rooms larger by sacrificying the size of the bathroom. Breakfast was more than decent. The only cons (which is also pros) would be the location. It is quite far from the action but still in walking distance. All in all, this hotel is a very lovely hotel that makes my Vang Vieng experience perfect.

Excellent Adventure to Vang Vieng”
Hi some how our initial agodo on line booking let us down. However I am so glad it did as we got to stay accross the road at the Vang Vieng Riverside and could begin to explain what a wonderful time we had. The manager her staff and location were all top of our list this time around. I also like to thank everyone for the most memerable Buddhist new year. Breathtaking surrounding”
the main highlight of this hotel is the fascinating view from the pool and adjacent restaurant, overlooking the river and mountainous back-drop. when i first reached the hotel, it took a while for me to convince myself that i ain't dreaming. rooms were clean & tidy and wash-room was spacious. i greatly regretted not paying an extra bit to book a river-front room, all of which had a small balcony facing the river. they mixed up our lunch order and served stir-fried beef with mushrooms when we had ordered a black-pepper fish -- taste was rather average but not too disappointed coz it wasn't that expensive kip for 2). breakfast was standard for a hotel of this price range -- fried rice, toast, omelettes, sausages, bacon, rice porridge, fruits & coffee. apart from one impolite receptionist, rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. we had forgotten to take our phone charger and a waitress at the restaurant was kind enough to offer her phone charger. i'll definitely stay at this hotel again, next time i visit vang vieng.

Great location, pity about the management”
The hotels location at one end of the town and its position right on the river means that the hotel is close enough to walk into the centre of town, but is extremely quiet and peaceful. We booked a villa overlooking the river and with its own private balcony was really worth the little extra cost. Our villa was extremely clean with a comfortable bed, good bathroom and of an adequate size. All the villas a set in beautiful gardens which are well maintained. We ate at the restaurant on our first night. The food was wonderful, the location the best in town and the restaurant staff friendly, so we ate here again on our second night. The only negative side about our stay was the attitude and lack of professionalism of the staff at Reception. Upon arrival, after handing over our booking form we were simply handed the keys to the villa. No passports were taken, no details about the hotel such as breakfast times, Internet access, or even directions to our villa were given. This attitude continued right up until we checked out when the receptionist couldn't be distracted from putting on her mascara to say one word of goodbye. It was obvious to us, and friends who were also staying, that the hotel really suffered from a lack of effective management. Things were starting to get tatty around the edges and it was obvious that routine maintenance had been neglected, to the extent that wooden furniture and decking was rotting away. The place needed a manager on site who would set the tone for the entire establishment and bring to it the professionalism, and more importantly, welcomeness, that the hotel sorely lacked. However, we would probably recommend Villa Vang Vieng Riverside, and if we were ever to return to Vang Vieng we would probably stay here again, simply because of the hotels position, its beauty and its level of comfort for the price paid. We would only hope that by such time the level of management would have greatly improved.

Well located hotel”
Very well located hotel in the middle of Vang Vieng, Laos. We were traveling from Luang Prabang by van to Vang Vieng and arrived late at midnight. There was a receptionist waiting for us and quicly showed us to our rooms. We got the rooms next to the river. The rooms are beautiful with a large size bathroom attached. For the price that we paid, it was well worth it. The breakfast was a bit limited but the view was excellent from the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Attractive hotel in a superb location”
The rooms are set around a lovely garden, some have views of the river. Our garden view room was comfortable and clean but fairly small. The staff are really friendly and English Premier League on the TV was a bonus! There is a nice pool although the water was quite cool during our visit. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts in the restaurant which has a great view. They will also cook delicious omelettes to order. It is a 5-10 mins walk into the centre of Vang Vieng and many retaurants, bars and travel/tour agencies.

Surrounded by nature”
Stayed at one of its bangalows and it was lovely. Though it made a squeeky noise when i walk on the floor and the room was a bit small, it had a big bathroom and had a nice atmosphereM that perfectly fit to Vang Vieng. Located right in front of the river, which gives relaxing vibe to the hotel

Excellent hotel with amazing view. ”
i was traveling with friends on a photography trip to vang vieng. we did not expect too much as the price was very cheap. but after we checked in, we were amazed at the facilities for the price that we paid. the breakfast is held in an excellent location next to the river with a good view of the bridge. the hotel is situated in the center of town with lots of restaurants and massage parlors. massage is cheap at kip (little less than us$ 7) for oil massage (i usually pay us$ 30 in thailand where i am staying). excellent massage just a few minutes walk from the hotel. highly recommended.

Nice hotel, located outside the hustle and bustle”
new hotel, located in the quiet end of vang vieng. the bungalows are spacious and clean, but have not been finished to a very high standard (expected as it is laos). the breakfast was very good, the pool is great as it over looks the river. good place to stay and good value for money. staff were quiet but polite.

Unique hotel ever stay in Laos”
This is a lovely place to stay for a couple of days. Peaceful garden, very nice swimming pool, excellent quality for price , and delicious food. Yes, we will come back and stay more than 2 days this time... Excellent organization to visit Vang vieng from this hotel. Thanks so much for these magic days.

Great lanscape with lovely swimming pool”
i was scared for situations that it's too loud by party but you can see that vang vieng is not crowded and loud as before in this year so for city persons who are sick of urban stuffs, you will love it here. well, room don't have basic features like fridges and wardrobes and bedroom is pretty small for the price but you get a bathtub and spacious bathroom and balcony in return. bed was clean and comfy and staffs there were very useful, esp the ones at the dinning area. i think the dining area has the best view of the city for looking at avatar landscape and see lives of lao people crossing the bridge. it's a great location to see sunset.

relaxing weekend stay”
Villa Vang Vieng is a great location, a bit outside the main centre, rather quiet (but there is a huge building site in the back) and beautiful setting of bungalows around a garden. Staff at reception very efficient and helpful. Kitchen staff a bit chaotic and food quality varies. Generally, this hotel needs a bit of investment to refresh, charm is fading a bit.

Great location with a lot of potential”
this is a lovely villa with fantastic potential, but falls short on service and small details that could make this a 5 star resort. don't expect a warm reception, or any help on where to find your room, basic amenities, etc. and it may have been because it was slow season, but it was near impossible to find someone for a towel or drink at poolside. dinner, though tasty, was a bit confusing and we ended up with different dishes than we ordered, despite several attempted clarifications on our orders. standard breakfast left a lot to be desired. despite all this, the rooms were lovely and the view spectacular. if you can get past the minor service issues, this will be a lovely place to get away from the usual backpacker scene in vang vieng.

The view, grounds, outside were pristine. Inside, a little cramped and not sparkling, but reasonably clean. Biggest issue was the place was filled with loud, noisy guests who brought in girls late at night that didn't appear to be registered guests. They made a racket all night long; our group was in 5 separate rooms and everyone could hear the noise from these "guests." Vang Vieng seems very seedy now, maybe this is just par for the course, but it really detracted from our stay.

Great Hotel For Vang Vien”
This hotel is located right on the river, and has a great pool with a fantastic view of both the river and the mountains. The hotel is respite from the Vang Vien party scene, which is about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms are bungalow style and not luxurious, but comfortable all the same. Every room as a deck with a place where you can sit. The hotel staff is very friendly.
