Excellent Hotel”

This hotel is located in a safe area of Jo'berg and is within walking distance to stores, food and several tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The garden is delightful even in winter. Most of all, I enjoyed the tour arranged and conducted by Nick. His commitment to hospitality and knowledge of the area made for a great tour and a stress-free and very pleasant stay. Theresa N

I would stay more!”

I truly loved this guesthouse where I felt really as at home in such an ambiguous city as Joburg. The staff was super welcomed and upgraded my room for free just because there was an issue with the transfer. The room was spacious, with a huge bathroom, study area, rest area and even a small garden! Breakfast was good and various. A supermarket with a fruit market inside is just in the opposite corner; also there are some cafes nearby. The bus stop of 'City Sightseeing' is 100-150 meters near the Zoo lake that is beautiful and peaceful. Will definitely come there again when my fate will bring me to Joburg.

Lovely, comfortable old house”

I had a very comfortable stay. Large rooms, nice swimming pool, great location. Furnishings a little worn out, insufficient light (lamps) in the rooms. Otherwise great.

Clean,tidy, good location ”

Good location, great staff very helpful place was lovely and clean although the pool could do with an upgrade, room could do with a/c but don’t let that put you off we had a great stay 4out of 5 for us

Great location, but not comfortable”

My stay here was fine, and I would like but there are so many small things wrong that I probably won't go back. Completely inadequate light in the rooms, despite multiple pretty Tiffany lamps. Dark, somewhat overworn furniture, heavy dark window coverings, everything just generally too dark. Not enough towels or soap. Bulbs out, frayed electrical cords, etc. A little investment would make this place lovely, but it's not there now.

Great, secure place to stay in reasonably area. Very comfortable with a friendly helpful staff and management. Freshly cooked, tasty breakfast. Near to shops and restaurants.

Nice people, good position, but facility is a little run down. DSTV not working in evening, television remote worn out, doors to patio have no keys and use multiple bolts to close. Bath +++ slippery if taking a shower- needs a non-slip mat Breakfast was great.

Le migliori scrambled eggs del Sudafrica le abbiamo mangiate in questa guest house immersa nel verde! Ci venivano servite tutte le mattine da due signore gentilissime e sorridenti che ricorderò per sempre. La camera, noi abbiamo scelto la più economica, è sufficientemente spaziosa e accogliente per due persone. Il resto della guest house è davvero molto curato.Mi sento di consigliarla anche per la posizione in un tranquillo quartiere con diversi negozi vicino.

Väldigt trevlig guesthouse med en fin trädgård och fantastisk personal. Vi fick två rymliga rum med två stora bekväma sängar. Hade rest runt i Sydafrika i tre veckor under vintermånaden juli och det var alltid kallt i de olika boenden, men Village Green Guest House var den enda som hade värmeanläggning i sängen, vilket var väldigt uppskattat. Handdukarna var stora och mjuka, också det uppskattat. Frukost var riklig och varierad. Området var tryggt med restauranger i promenadavstånd och hållplatsen för Hop-on-hop-off var väldigt nära. Vi trivdes väldigt bra, stannade i tre nätter. Rekommenderas varmt.
