Traveler impressions of Bali
Its best to visit bali with your love one, its just too nice to be missed. Of course it can turn into a nightmare if you don't know where to go.
I always stay away from kuta and 66 beach in seminyak. I would recommend that you book yourself a nice hotel or if you don't mind to spend a little more, get yourself a villa with private pool. There are few places that I like to go in Bali no matter if i'm alone or with my partner. Like antique spa, the Kafe, Warung sopa.
Great place for cheap massages, and amazing food. Watch out for overly forceful salespeople at the markets and street shops, and make sure you can deal with the heat.
its a really good city along with volcano and beaches some small islands really good. beaches are really good do spent more time
Bali is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a holiday. A chilled out place where everything, except traffic, is relaxed and moving at own pace.
The people are friendly and there is so much to do. Its not only beach. One can do alot of activities in Bali.
Spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Most times you need to haggle on pricing be it clothing, taxi fare or decor.
It would help to speak with locals to find out on pricing and places to visit.
the culture is really good, plenty of temples, natural waterfalls, beaches etc.. so many things to do and see.
monkey park, turtle island....too many to mention. just a great place overall.
loved every bit of the holiday. nusa dua is awesome. kuta was good because it was not so busy, but stay away from a man who sells wallets etc and call himself 'harry bucking butler'.
sleezy guy who tries to pick up women of any age and tries to rip you off. he's the only person to be wary of, everyone else was great. had a really great time.
Bali has many towns each with their own flavour. Kuta with its wild feel and nightlife is full of young surfers and clubbers.
Ubud has a more spiritual feeling with it's nature, rice fields and religious history as well as cultural dances. There are many smaller quieter towns as well. Pick the spot that matches your need. Many people will want to be your taxi driver, sell you something, or ask for money which is perhaps the most annoying thing about Bali. Move beyond this and enjoy the feeling.
I have been to Bali dozens of times, love the place & the people. On my recent trip, it's saddened me to see how disrespectful are a lot of the Balinese & the domestic tourists (Indonesians) to their own land.
They just throw rubbish everywhere. Kuta beach is filthy! I hope the government would clean up Bali & educate the people to keep the place clean. Otherwise they will lose tourism! Who want to walk around or swim in pile of rubbish?! No one!
I love the Mother Nature such as dreamland beach, it is very very clean water and big waive, tanah lot is so beautiful, it look like a stone island and we took a lot of photo there.
Bali is amazingly beautiful island with wonderful and friendly people around, variety of beach clubs, shopping malls and souvenir shops.
Transportation is also conveniently available for visitors undoubtedly busy schedules.
There is no place like home, and Bali is my second home. My family and I have been travelling at least twice a year to Bali and we can never get enough.
Even my son doesn't want to go home each time we have to say goodbye! Looking forward to more memorable experience in Bali. See you soon!
Best to travel mid of the year as it's not a rainiy season & cool breeze from South makes everything perfect when you do outdoor activities.
Try to visit all parts of Bali (South, North & Centre) as each place has it owns beauty. It's deifinelty the place to relax & rejoice your holiday.
attractive. the place that i can come again for next time. Monkey forest that an attractive places for visit
Beautiful island, stunning sunset and friendly people. A bit commercialised, but still retaining the beauty of a little paradise if you know how o avoid the touristic spots
Can be lot to see, the beaches at sunset and unbud for jungle and forest scenery overall lot to do there.
Bali is so different than any other part of Indonesia. This island sets a standar for worldclass tourism industries.
You have to visit this place at least once in your lifetime.
Bali is a beautiful relaxing place to enjoy a holiday. Whatever you wish to do in Bali your wishes can be met.
Bali can be as busy or as slow as you want it to be. There is plenty of places to go and many things to see, it has wonderful scenery and plenty of activities is you wish to participate. We have been to Bali 20 times, our first visit was in 1985 and we love it as much today as we did then.
Beautiful Island, with many tourists, various food, sports activity, many things can be done in Bali Nice Place
Balinese people are friendly and quick to smile. They are gracious and want to please and this makes even the most determined market shop owner bearable and 'sweet' as they call to you to please come and buy from them.
Most purchases from street vendors can be bargained for and it is part of the joyful banter that results in you coming away with a cheap purchase you possible don't really need, but can take home to family and friends for gifts...Bintang tank top for everyone! I have learned over the years that this is part of the Bali fun, so don't be intimidated or dismissive. Have a joke, join the banter, and if you really don't want to buy tell them 'maybe later'.
Bali is laid back. Nice place to relax, have good food and good beer, go sightseeing. There are some very touristy areas, but there are nice local spots where you get a good feel of the place.
There's so much to see and do here. Would definitely like to stay for about a week or so.
one of the best places to visit for holidays. I've been around many countries but always come back to Bali
There are too many people trying to make a living out of tourism. They are too pushy to sell goods and services.
The beaches are dirty.
Island of the Gods. Although a lot of tourism and hawkers, the vibe is chilled and the culture is intoxicating.
Not many say they will not return after their virgin trip to Bali.
Its has everything if you travel around the island and get out of Kuta. Kuta is for the teenage to party all night and sleep all day.
But surf, dive and travel to waterfalls and look for the local eateries so fresh and they know how to cook.
Bali was an exciting place for us to explore. We tried to see as much as we could in 3 weeks and had the most wonderful time.
I do believe that the Government is focusing too much on tourism instead of educating and assisting in Recycle projects, environmental long term care programs ect. We are travelers that explore and don't stay in one villa for the whole time. I believe that in the near future Bali won't be such a paradise destination. Many of the beaches we saw that were beautiful were littered with boats and jetskis ect making the water dirty and not breathtaking. Bali is a destination that has so much to offer for any travel type and although I'm unsure about it's future I feel very blessed to have travelled through Bali.
Overall good. The only problem is most tourist attractions are are to short and too expansive. We paid 600k for 12 private car.
Then half hour elephant would cost much more than this per person. Takes so long to get to Turle Island. There they have some turles and few birds. Walk under the water for half and hour costs more than a whole day private car hire.
