Pro: Upgraded to executive room to impress the missus and it was a really nice touch up from a standard room.

Everything I expected it to be”
Our stay was very good, in fact I have never stayed in a room so quiet, very easy access to the Barossa wineries, but the nearby towns of Tanunda and Angaston are better for dining at night as Nuriootpa is very quiet at night, though if you have self catering options the IGA/Foodland store has a great range of ready meals from the Adelaide Coffee shop Cibo, we ate in the Vine Inn Bistro on the first night and it was ok, not outstanding but it was ok
Great room with kitchenette just perfect”
Absolutely love it here. Well worth the money. We were upgraded to a family room with kitchenette which suited us perfectly. We did use the vines for a breakfast and a dinner but used our room for everything else. Shower was great took a bit to get hot but nice after that. Separate toilet was a bonus. Bed was comfy and aircon was quiet. Overall perfect for us central to everything in t the Barossa and not far to the riverland.
We were surprised to find that we were in another section of the motel, about 350 metres down the road. They could easily have been different companies! The spa was not working in the pool area, and had not been for sometime the lady said - this was one of the main reasons that I booked the Vine Inn. The pool was quite nice, but you had to go in through the main hotel, so for us, we had a walk 350 metres up main Street, then through the motel past the sports bar to get to the access. No chance of just wearing a light cover up over your swimmers, and with no where to change, we dripped our way back to our room, not having the option of staying for a drink. The pool itself is quite nice, but with 3 related families and 12 children all having fun, we didn't stay as long as we might have otherwise on a 38.c day. It was fine, but their rooms over looked the pool, and a family reunion was underway so we left it to them. The restaurant was like a big RSL, both in decor and staff, but the food was very good, and reasonably priced. Half serves were also available. The washing machine & dryer weren't working, but there was a large, deep sink, plenty of pegs and line space. The beds were comfortable and the shower easily accessible for the disabled. Although I would have preferred to be in the main hotel, I would stay there again.
Convenient to all Barossa venues.”
This motel was in a great location for visiting the Barossa Valley wineries. It was close to cafes and restaurants/take away places. It had everything you could need for a 2 night stay.
Our stay was quite pleasant, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was quite clean.”
The only criticism my partner and I could find would be the map that was provided to us by reception to find our room. We would recommend adding the estimated distance of the other rooms from the main reception as the map made it look like it was only a few blocks when in reality it was about 350 metres away. Apart from that the staff were quite friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend the Vine Inn to our friends and family and we would stay there again.
Located at doorstep to Barossa Valley vineyards”
The location of Vine Inn is excellent, the hotel has two separate buildings, our building was way out from reception, sometimes may essential procedures like check-in and out, get change for some coins, dinning less convenient. The staff also provided excellent services, during our stay, there was a power down for the whole wing at around 8pm. The staff helped us out very soon and provided another room for us, though it is quite messy to pack up our luggage in darkness.... The pool was located near the reception building also, we have to walk a 750M or need to drive in order to enjoy the swimming pool, making less convenience especially on a 41 degree hot afternoon like we did.
Pros: clean, staff handled checking in/out fast, right smack in the middle of town which makes small puchases easy, all room features functional, comfortable bed, shower/water pressure really good, aircon/heater, has grilling machine in the pool area. Cons: pool wasn't heated so couldn't take a dip that long. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. We'd certainly come back! Thank you Vine Inn!
Great location, neat and simple”
We are group of 3 had a road trip. The location of this accomodation is in the town centre but not noisy, just a few min short drive to Penfold. The apartment got everything we need. The apartment is very neat and clean also. Check in and out process is very simple, friendly staff. We will stay again next time when we come back to Barossa.
I arrived at the Vine Inn & was greeted by happy helpful staff - I travelled from Brisbane so when I got into the room I was impressed by the cleanliness and décor I had a great, much needed hot shower, went out for tea at the hotel then played the pokies and won $65 - I then went back to the room and had a very restful sleep in a very comfortable bed
Good value for money!”
We found the room very good value for money. It is nice & clean and near to most attractions in Barossa Valley. Will definitely recommend for someone looking for a night stay in Barossa valley.
Recommend it for a night away from it all”
Great location for exploring the beautiful Barossa Valley, which we did on mountain bikes
great and comfortable”
The Vine inn was perfect. My partner and I were not a bit worried when we saw the outside of the room but I was delighted to say it was one of the best places I have stayed. I recommend it to a friend and she enjoyed her stay also. Job well done :)
Second time returning. We booked the 31/2 star room and it’s amazing!!! Very clean, bed is comfy, location is great if you want to visit the winery within the Barossa! Would recommend at least 1-2 days here!!
Vine Inn Court”
The Vine Inn Court is excellent value for money. It was clean, spacious and quiet. The dining at the Vine Inn was great and easily accessible from the motel.
Reasonable motel at ok price”
We stayed in a standard room which is about 300m down the road from the main building. Room was very clean and recently refurbished. Bed was comfortable. We were disappointed with the town of Nuriootpa and surrounds, there was nowhere else to eat in the town for dinner except an Indian Restaurant (which was closed) and a fish and chip/burger joint. Basically the Barossa shuts down at 5pm when the wineries closed so we wished we stayed in Adelaide and just did a day tour to Barossa. Don't expect to be entertained at night anywhere in the wine region.
Great location and value for money”
spacious clean comfortable room, value for money, great location in the Barossa for wine tours
Reasonably Priced, Bistro Attached, Near Wineries”
We stayed for two nights and used it as our base while we explored the surrounding areas & wineries. Recently redecorated, our room had a heat pump & a ceiling fan and walk-in-shower. The Bistro attached to the Vine Inn was competitively priced and very convenient for dinners and breakfast.
Comfortable at both properties”
The listing shows a photo of the Vine Inn with pool but the standard rooms are not at the Vine Inn but at another property 350m down the street with no pool! It would be enormously helpful for travellers to have the 2 properties as 2 separate listings!
The room was clean and we had a function at the Vine Inn restaurant so was handy to stay rather than drive over 1 hour home.
Clean, Comfortable, but very basic”
I guess the first thing is, if you book at the Vine In, you expect to stay at the Vine Inn. NO, NO, we were told that our room was 300 meters down the main street, at the Vine Court. This isn't so bad if you have a car, because you can drive down there and park, but if you have been dropped off, you have to drag your luggage, by yourself to the Vine Court. Next is the fact that Vine Court is all rooms, so there is no reception area, well apart from a coke machine, nothing is there. So, for you dinner reservation or breakfast, yep you guessed it, walk 300 meters back to the Vine Inn. Staff are good. Rooms are very basic, but they did have a ironing board and iron if you required one. Breakfast was big and plentiful, but at an extra price. No complaints there. Well worth the money. Next time, I would rather stay at a B&B. At least I will have everything I need in the one building. Probably would not recommend this place. There are better places to stay at in neighbouring towns.
