I Love This Place”
The guesthouse was a very nice one. It comes with a balcony and the room was clean and fresh, I guess it was newly built when we were there. The lady owner was so sweet and generous-she gave us lots of free bottled water when I asked for the 2 bottles of our daily compliment. It's not located on the main street but it's near everything you need: restaurants, street food vendors, shops, massage places, travel bureau. Would definitely stay there again should I go back to Vang Vieng. Tip: do not take the rooms near the owner's quarter (#201 & 202) as they have small children, who wake up early and make noises during their waking hours.

Basic accommodation in good location”
Vinutda is a short walk from main streets of Vang Vieng but there are still places to very close by. It's a basic guesthouse with simple rooms but that is what you would expect for the price. Walls between rooms are thin and there is a lot of noise from various sources - bars, Friday night party in the grounds of the building opposite, building work during the day - but that is standard for VV and it was completely manageable. There was hot water throughout our stay and intermittent wifi.

Good value for the price you pay!”
We were group of 4 people, stayed at Vinutda guesthouse 2 nights in a family room with mountain view. Rate was very reasonable and good value for the price we pay. Room was fairly clean, there was television but no fridge. Bathroom was a bit dodgy and not clean. For thier location, the guesthouse is on the main road, south of the city center and there is a bit of a walk to city center like a kilometre or two. And because there are not many food shops nearby the guesthouse, so we need to walk back and forth few times to city center to grab food and other things. Overall this place is good if you are on budget travelling!

Good”
Our stay here was OK overall. A lot of the guesthouses in Vieng Vang were expensive or more catered to backpackers (dorm-style), and this was a decent compromise. The room was mostly clean, but carpeted floors usually aren't my favorite thing to come across in a hotel room. The bed and linens were soft and there was a very beautiful view from the balcony (though there is construction going on most of the morning/day) The bathroom had a pipe that leaked constantly, and as a result, the bathroom floor was always wet. The wifi did not work at all inside the room, but it worked once outside the rooms. One day when we went out, the staff turned off the electricity to our room via an outdoor breaker box and all the electronics I left to charge were dead upon our return. This was my biggest complaint during the whole stay. Overall, I would probably stay here again if I returned to Vang Vieng, but I would most likely never return to Vang Vieng.

Nice guesthouse with a little bad point.”
The location is so close to the town. We can walk to many restaurants, bars or song river. If you wanna go to tourist attractions or book a bus to another city, the staff will offer it to you. But I recommend you to book the bus with the bus transfer because we book it with the guesthouse and they drop us "near" the city which we wanna go at 2am so we should take the bus to get into the city with the darkness and quietness. That is only one thing we are not satisfied to this guesthouse. Overall are very nice and worthy for the price.

Work in Progress”
Vinutda is very new, and in Jan '15 it was still a ‘work in progress’ job. We were on level 2 of 3 (which is at street level), but that was the only one open. They were still finishing levels 1 and 3, which meant there was building noise during the day. Rooms on level 1 will have windows but no view due to the building behind, so avoid those unless they are very cheap. We had a good view of the mountains from our Level 2 balcony, and Level 3 should be even better. The room was big, but had two king size beds in it, which used up so much space, and left no room for a wardrobe or chest of drawers. The bathroom was OK, but had no extractor fan. No hot water to the basin, nor a plug for it. We had no fridge, but didn’t really need one in cool weather. There was no security box. Like everything, our bed was very new, the mattress comfortable, but the pillows which appeared big and fluffy were actually big and hard, filled with a very unyielding foam, which did have a negative effect on sleep comfort. They need to have a proper front reception. Keys were simply left on a table in the entrance, and were clearly visible from the street, completely unattended, so anyone could have grabbed one and got into the room. So we took our key with us everywhere. Possibly because of this our room was never made up during our 4 night stay. There was a breakfast menu in the room, but we did not try this. We really liked the restaurants in the town centre with terraces high above the river, and low tables for diners to lounge at, especially River Hills restaurant, where the pool table works as a good place for people of all nationalities to mix and get to talk. The location is good – a five minute walk south of the town centre, away from late night noise. It's so new the tuk-tuk drivers don’t know where it is! Location is on the riverside road near the turning to the toll bridge. Overall it was a clean and pleasant stay, fair value for money, but certainly with room for improvement.

Cheap hotel amongst the action”
This hotel is located on udons beer bar street. There are lots of bars with bar girls etc it's pretty tame compared to other parts of Thailand . I am not really into that sort of scene but it didn't bother me staying in this area . The hotel is clean with good sized rooms and comfy beds . The only problem I had was the air con unit was very noisy but i am sure they would change rooms for you if it was a problem . I would stay here again , for 17 aus dollars it was good value..

Place looks nice but rather poor service”
Vinutda is located just near the river and offered a great view of the mountains. It's just a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and other shops and when you go down the aisle beside it, it will take you directly to the river where the boats and kayaks stop. The rooms were also quite spacious and so were the beds. However, they were not really very accommodating to the guests. The lady at the front desk was hardly ever there and was manning another store next door whenever we were looking for her to ask for assistance. Also, DO NOT get your laundry done here. Better go to the other cheaper, more reliable laundry shops all over town. We had our laundry done here and it was hardly dried at all. I don't think used a proper warm dryer and just let it air dry on the hall so it didn't really dry at all since it was raining during our stay. Our clothes ended up having a damp, musty smell because of this. They also didn't weigh our laundry in our presence so we were surprised when we were asked to pay 90,000 kip during check out for supposedly 9 kilos of clothes when we estimated that our clothes couldn't possibly weigh more than 4 or 5 kilos.

helpful staff! ”
I got into some problem with my personal belongings while visiting sites Had to ale a police report. They voluntarily sent me to the police station on 2 different days and waited for me which will otherwise be a long walk back. A no fuss guesthouse in a good location. Recommended!

Where's my fridge?”
my problem is they didn't put the fridge in the rooms even they say they have one at the sign in front of the hotel. I went to VangVieng at October and its still hot weather all around, so I expected to put any water bottle in it but accepted fridge problems everything is fine

Pictures look better than reality”
There's a construction in front of balcony ongoing. So soon the view to the mountains spoiled. Additional noise (eg. on a Sunday afternoon) unpleasant. good room size, comfortable bed, loose toilet seat and leaky toilet hose, no mirror over sink (shaving!), tiles in guesthouse very slippery when wet. 10 minutes walk to center

Lots of potential left unused with dirty rooms and unfriendly absent staff”
Upon check-in we were handed keys and told "upstairs." After showing ourselves to the room, we discovered dirty, stained towels, used cotton swabs under the bed, a dirty sink and toilet, and a TV that didn't work. I'd gone downstairs twice to see if something could be done about the mess, however there were no staff around to speak to. Out of about 6 times passing the front desk and walking upstairs, we did not encounter a single employee. Not only did this prevent us from sorting out any issues, it also meant that anyone from the street could gain access to the rooms which were secured only by a push button lock on the doorknob. We did not feel our things were secure. That being said, the view from the balcony was spectacular and the beds and linens were comfortable enough to make our one night stay bearable before checking into another guesthouse for our remaining 3 nights.

Nice stay”
I had a nice stay at Vitudna. The room was clean, the view was beautiful and the wifi was strong. The only problem was the construction noise. It was raining that day and hard to relax in my room with all of the noise.

Construction site”
I feel loathed to give this hotel a low score but it shouldn't be open to the public yet, they have not finished building it and the building work is ongoing each day between 9am and 5pm (noise) A shame, because the room was large, comfortable and clean (roach found on last day but because of the unemptied bin) A lovely view from the balcony, although the balcony was covered in dust and dirt from the building work on the floor above and floor below. I stayed in room it seemed that guests are only accomodated on the 2nd floor because the other floors aren't complete yet. This will be a lovely place to stay in a years time but for now (February 2015) maybe choose the place next door

Overrated”
We booked 5 nights based on reviews on here and were hugely disappointed. The windows had large gaps between them and the window frame allowing insects in. The A/C was really weak. The wifi varies from bad to non-existent. There was no tv. (Not that we were bothered, but it shouldn't be advertised if it doesn't have it.) Our room wasn't cleaned once during our stay meaning we had several bags of rubbish around our bin and had to go to reception to request more toilet roll. The landlady allows her young son to scream, shout and run around making lots of noise.

Ok place but a bit pricey for what you get”
A lot of noise from the street. All the doors in hotel are squeaking to a level it wakes you up when someone opens it. Not even one english speaking staff person. Old carpets in rooms- doesnt feel clean. Big pillows- not comfortable. Rooms has balcony with great view. Comfortable big bed.
