One of the best of all vacations”
I can't say enough regarding AST and Viola Cruise. Very prompt when picked up at the airport and hotel. Clean buses and vans, Knowledgeable drivers. The cruise ships were just the right size with a capacity of around 30. Food was overwhelming with quality & quality. Many fun activities that we all enjoyed. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our every wish. The venue of Ha Long Bay is one of nature's marvels. Just beautiful. We can't say enough regarding this cruise.

Fab experience cruising Ha Long Bay”
Really cute boat. Clean. Traditional wood decor. Just to be out on the bay in the scenery was fantastic. The kayaking was fun. The cookery demo was good. The food was very plentiful but not great. Could benefit from less food and more simple. Pay as you go for drinks but everything else was included. There were only about 15 on our cruise so not too crowded. Loved it!

Great cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay”
My family and I (five people) just completed a two night/three day trip on Viola Cruises in Bai Tu Long Bay for Christmas. The crew, the place and the experience were unforgettable. However, I was disappointed because Agoda advertised a queen size bed and it was not. Agoda has some ways to go with advertising professionally. When I followed up with Viola Cruises, they also confirmed that my queen size bed was 180 cm. In America, a queen size is about 193cm. If you book this, book with a different travel website so you are not disappointed with the bed width. My husband, 5-yo daughter and I ended up squeezing in a double (at best) and I did not rest well. I payed $100 more for this pleasure. Other than the truth in advertising, the overall experience was unforgettable. We had Lucky for Christmas and he was awesome. He is as good as they say. Also, Tuan was wonderful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and even dropped us off at the Ha Long Bay bus station so we could get to Haiphong and on to Cat Bi airport. The rest of the crew was just as amazing. I would highly recommend a second night stay if you can. It is well worth it. Viola Cruises is thorough and professional. The cook and the staff prepared many delicious meals. Joseph on the Lemon Cruise was a fabulous host as well. The ship is beautiful and it has the historic Indochina junk nostalgia.

A must do activity”
We did the 3 day 2 night tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was plentiful and of good quality. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The staff are very accommodating and were more than happy for members of our group to sit out of activities if they wanted.

Beautiful location and great staff”
The Halong Bay cruise was our favorite part of our trip to Vietnam. We had our 9mo daughter with us and everyone was incredibly accommodating. She actually really enjoyed crawling around on the deck and playing with the staff. I liked the size of our boat--there were probably a total of 20-25 people. It felt more intimate and relaxing. We did the 2 day 1 night cruise which I think was enough. We weren't able to do the kayaking because of our kid but we were able to take a rowboat with a local rower. I don't feel like we missed out at all. Food was very good. We had the honeymoon suite which worked out well for us. We were at the very rear of the boat so I don't think anyone was disturbed by our little one (at least I hope not). Would highly recommend.

We have a really enjoyable experience on Viola Cruise with our tour guide Hội. We recommend Viola Cruise to visitors looking for a pleasant and leisurely experience at one of the best destinations Vietnam has to offer.

Great Experience”
Booked Viola Cruise just a day before as our original cruise was cancelled due to typhoon Wipha. We were informed that the harbour was opened to ships just 15min before the bus came to pick us up from the apartment. The tour guide John was very entertaining and friendly. Food served was good. Rooms were quite clean. It rained for the two days we were there. However, we still managed to do all of the activities planned.

Really good service ”
Our tour guide Lucky is professional and fun, and he speaks fluent English. The trip is quite relaxing, so may be a little disappointing for hikers. We played music and had lots of drinks on the board at night.

Lovely boat ”
We have been checking different cruises and liked the sound of Viola cruises. The boat was lovely with clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. We choose a room with a balcony which allowed some alone time. The food was great and plentiful. A few snacks could be vbiught

Halong at its best.”
Our guide Lucky Hoi is very friendly and accommodating. The staff in general are also very helpful and friendly. Viola needs refurbishing. Though what it lacks in upkeep it more than makes up for the excellent service. Food is just okay, but the stunning views are arresting. Especilly at Bai Tu Long area where they took us to have a more intimate experience.

Magnificent view”
Go with an open mind. Do not compare to an International Cruise. They are trying hard to be better. They should at least provide drinking water during meal time. Meals are simple. Cabin with the balcony is great.

Old vessel but nice staff”
There's a leaking problem at the room we stayed (3 beds,) though to be fair, there was a thunderstorm at night, but still... The food was ok. However, the staff are really friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot!

The organizer had such a strong accent , we had a hard time understanding most of what he said. ”
Staff needs to speak clear English. The schedule and itinerary was not respected. We were stressed as we were asked at the last minute to get going for certain activities and meals, caused by the change in the schedule.

I enjoyed it”
I didn’t actually stay on the Viola Cruise; I stayed on Christina Diamond Cruise which is run by the same company. So this is a review of the company and the experience, I guess. I was informed a day before that my cabin on Viola was infested with bed bugs and I was moved to Christina. Called it an upgrade. Saw Viola on the water at the same time as us, but maybe they just leave that one room empty, but still go out with the other rooms occupied. Despite this, I enjoyed my time and was happy with the price, though like many things in Vietnam, you always wonder if you overpaid. For example, I paid for a bus transfer from Hanoi to the cruise as well, but several others on the same bus transfer picked up from roughly same place was charged 50% more. Uy, the tour guide, was excellent. You’re really there for the scenery, and these two cruises go out to Bai Tu Long bay, which is further out and less crowded than other parts of the bay.
