Breath taking view!”
I don't think there is a bad hotel room in Santorini, as far as the view goes. It was absolutely amazing. We went in low season and there was no one around. It was like we had the whole place to ourselves. We upgraded from a cav suite to a jacuzzi suite and it was well worth it. We bought a small bbq, local veggie and sausage and had our our cookout because our view was so amazing, it was an attraction in itself. I would 1000% go back to this hotel. The staff were so great, lugging our bags up and down the steep cliffs. They know the meaning of hard work and they did it with smiles on their faces. Santorini is an amazing place.
Very enjoy to stay at VIP Suites ”
Very enjoy to stay at VIP Suites during our days in Oia. The hotel person is kind and helpful, there will be a strong gentleman helped us to carry the luggage to the room. We are very suprise that the room is so spacious, and the design is like staying in a cave.We can have a wonderful Aegan Sea view when stand in front of the room door.Overall, the room we stayed is located central in Oia, very easy to access. We are happy that we make a right choice to stay at VIP Suite.
Comfortable, great location and fantastic rooms.”
Me and my partner spent the first part of our honeymoon here and we are very happy with our stay. The check-in was smooth and we got help with our bags to the room. It had an amazing view of the caldera and the room was beautiful, just like in the pictures. The location is perfect and from the entrance door you get a view of the amazing sunset of Oia. Even though the rooms are right in the middle of Oia it was very quiet and private, which was a nice surprise. We even booked an extra night since we didn't want to leave. There are small supermarkets nearby where you can buy breakfast and you can cook simple dishes in the room. Otherwise there are restaurants and bars everywhere that can suit to your every need.
Couldn't have been happier”
overview: we got a nice cave unit, with a bedroom in the back, and a large living room with another double bed. the terrace was great and the view of the caldera was awesome. the staff (located at the tourist information in oia, where you check-in) was very helpful in arranging for baggage transport down to the unit, and airport transfers, as well as recommending excursions. note that although i had a great time and a very cool unit, i saw some of the other units had smaller terraces. mine was very large, with 4 chairs, a table, and a laying chair. there were a couple more like mine. others (probably the studios) only had a table and 2 chairs. do yourself a favor and book the 1 bedroom, unless it is a lot more expensive... useful tips: * you can arrange laundry service for 15 euros a load with tourist information in oia. they wash/dry/fold, in a 24 hr turn around. * hotel will arrange airport transfer for 30 euros total (up to 4 people). just note your flight number, arrival time, number of people, and name in the booking and that you want the transfer. i did this, and someone was waiting outside with my name on a sign. pros: great location; helpful staff; awesome view; great value for money; cooking facilities; bed comfort was good; right next to the "perfect sunset place"; even the bathroom had a great view! cons: there is no internet at the unit; the tv is very small (we never even turned it on, why would we?!); there are quite a few steps to get to/from the unit (we had help with luggage, arranged from tourist information when we checked in); no swimming pool. my recommendation? stay here. unless you are would have problems with the steps, or you absolutely need the "comforts" of a hotel
Fantastic experience in our own Santorini home!”
santorini has a well-deserved reputation as the "world's best island". for a good idea of the island, google map it and look at a satellite image. you'll get the lay of the land and see how the towns are developed over the island. the cave houses are built into the steep slopes of the cliffs. we stayed in a one-bedroom cave house that fred flinstone would be happy to call home! compared to a two-bedroom next to us, we were pleased that ours was more rustic and truer to the santorini experience than the more contemporary setting next door. strictly speaking, this is not a hotel but a collection of cave houses centrally managed by an office nearby. we would have rated every category 5 but for the following: value for money - good but the prices were not consistent - the two-bedroom beside us was charged less than ours. but i'm happy with what we paid. in every other respect, a five-out-of-five! if it's good enough for the hollywood jet-set, it's good enough for you!
Best place to watch the most beautiful sunset”
We got a honeymoon suite which is a two-store cave room, where a brand new bath room and a queen bed (right next to a small window which has the sea view) on the second while the main bedroom and a kitchen on the first floor. A huge patio right outside where we can watch the never-had-enough sea view. Beware of the stairs. It's quite steep and would take about 1 minute from the room to the hotel door. In addition, it's around 10-minute walk distance from the tourism center where you may take a bus, parking, or go grocery shopping. Even so, this is still the number-one place we recommend for Oia stay. We will definitely choose the same one whenever we re-visit Oia.
Marvelous hotel with awesome view”
The hotel is worth for money due to its location strategic right in front of OIA famous caldera view. You can easily catch the best view from your room balcony itself. The hotel provide awesome swimming services with extra charge of euro 15 with both the pool access and breakfast. the swimming pool is the place even perfect for having the best sunset. The room is clean just like staying in a cage. but the mattress is too soft. you would not be able to locate the hotel easily. the best thing is when you arrive at OIA bus station just look for a shop called Tourist Information centre just right beside the groceries shop. The receptionist will arrange a bell boy to help you carry your luggage else you may have a hard time if carrying yourself on own as the route to the hotel is super far from the bus station
Romantic location, great views & service”
From the friendly & helpful check in experience to navigate the steps through Oia & arriving to our great cave room with Caldera views we knew our stay in Oia with VIP suites was going to be great ... it sure was. We can't fault our experience & recommend it highly. Guests with older family members or younger children need to be mindful of all the steps in Oia.
Heavenly nice romantic cavehouse”
Heavenly nice romantic cavehouse Romantic view of Santorini sunrise & sunset Away from crowded & noisy cafes & restuarant Just 5mins walk to The Oia Castle Great for honeymooners Simply perfect if you enjoy cooking & toasting a champagne drink while watching the sunset Great for solo travellers like me too!
Great view, value fo money”
I got room number 7 for VIP suite. I knew before arrival that VIP suite is a number of rooms seperate in the oia caldera cliff, so I was half excited and half worried about the room I gonna get. I booked the studio, the second cheapest with caldera view and I could not be more satisfied with my choice! the two blue domes and the pink bells appear on postcard is right at my door. I was literally living inside a postcard. lots of ppl taking pics on the pave leading to our room, including at least 3-4 couples taking pre-wedding pics with the blue domes and pink bells every day. eating melon at the private patio was really a privilege while others paying 5 euro for a coffee for the same view. last but not least, the kitchen made the stay more memorable and the aegean ocean view from bath tub gave me the most fantastic shower ever!!!
Highly Recommended for Oia Traveller”
We loved the cave-liked room with garret and small kitchen. It is very unique, comfortable and relaxing. We've done little cooking with the food from supermarket nearby and enjoyed our breakfast at the seaview balcony. Do not need to worry about your luggage even the staircase around Oia are steep as the hotel portal will take care of them. Highly recommended to stay with VIP suites from considerations of cost, environment and location.
Great Hotel, fantastic View & Excellent Service”
we stayed there 3 nights. were upgraded to a suite foc and with complimentary wine and chocolates. the suite, though a little run-down in terms of the doors, are clean and it comes also with scented candles and is facing the aegean sea with a fantastic view. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. there is a supermarket and a restauant nearby with some shops along the main street which were open despite the winter season. a bus runs daily with schedule to fira centre where there are lots of eatery and also convenient to change bus to other parts of santorini. very convenient and cost only euro 1.40 to euro 2.20 depending on where you want to go. the bus also goes to the airport and ferry terminals. taxis are also available although need to bargain for a better deal. breakfast at the hotel is a bit basic though but there is free wifi, coffee and tea at the reception area. would definitely go again.
Stayed 1 night in the cave room in the mid Sept. Our room facing the blue dome with caldera view. Lovely view! Upon your arrival in Oia village, go to Tourist Information Office (Ecorama Agency) at the Bus Terminal – your check-in will be provided there. The receptionist there was very nice and she helped to arrange a porter to carry our luggage. There a serious amount of steps to get down the steep hillside to get to the room, and well worth paying for the help with. The room is very comfortable with aircond, hot shower and kettle. Wifi working just fine in our room. Bear in mind it is an apartment and not a hotel, so manage your expectation and you will have a wonderful time there.
Great view, no frills accommodations”
I was scared to stay at this place given the negative reviews on Agoda, but we were last minute booking Santorini and other places were full. Overall, the stay was better than I expected. The check-in process was easy and receptionists and porters were friendly. They brought extra pillows right away when we requested. The room was fairly clean minus some small stains on the sheets which was kind of gross. Wifi is slow all over Oia, but it worked fine on the balcony. The reason you would stay here would be for the magnificent view. I wouldn't recommend it for longer than 1-2 nights. Overall, I thought Oia was a disappointment - extremely touristy, crowded, overpriced and staff at restaurants and shops are rude - but if you have your heart set on going to Oia and you're on a budget, this is a decent place to stay.
Big room, nice view facing the sunset”
Next time you should remind your customers in advance if they need to check in at the bus stop of Oia but not the house; there was a small rubbish area in front of our house, but luckily not affected photos shooting; very nice survice of carrying our luggages to the house from the check in point
This lovely apartment it's the best stays throughout our honeymoon. It is located on main street of Oia. It had a fantastic caldera view and a lovely balcony that you can chill there for whole day. It's fascinating to be able to experience the life living out of cave. The cave it's very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped to cook some light food like breakfast n supper. Highly recommended.
Magical Island, magical experience.”
Our overall stay at the hotel was pleasant. However, the hotel lacked wifi in the rooms. We had informed the hotel about the issue during our stay, but it was not fixed by the time we checked out. The hotel is centrally located and is close to the bus station, eating places and the famous Santorini sunset. You can get a view of the famous blue domes with a 3 minute walk. The staff were friendly and aside from the internet issue, generally helpful. Our room was large, spacious and was very clean. However, the tv is small and only plays local Greek TV. I would recommend this hotel for those who are planning on staying in Santorini on a budget, although I must warn you that internet and in-room entertainment is very sparse, so be prepared to be cut-off from the rest of the world. The steps to the hotel are very steep, so this hotel is definitely not suitable for elderly or young children.
Wonderful place ”
This is the place you can take all the most iconic pictures of santorini. It's super romantic and a real beautiful hotel!! One warning though, it's a looong walk from the drop off/registration point. you need to get used to it. Also remember to stock up on snacks and drinks before you go in, coz it's a long walk out.
The villa location is amazing! I’ve got the best spot to watch the sun set, I didn’t have to go anywhere. The villa is clean and well kept & the jaccuzzi is just nice! There’s a cafe few villa atop so it’s very convenient. My entire Santorini experience was wonderful and most of it was because of my amazing stay at the VIP villa.
We stayed in a cave suite and it was huge with 2 big rooms inside with the addition of a sofa bed and underneath can pull out another bed. The room was in a prime spot for photos and a great view of the caldera. We had our luggage arrived almost 2 days after we arrived in Greece so the front desk staff were very helpful and help us checked and kept us updated. Overall was a very pleasant time there.
