We were in town for a wedding and this hotel was very close to the venue and family that live in the area. Compared to the other hotels nearby this was the most affordable and got the best reviews. The hotel is on a main road and very close to shopping and entertainment. There is a movie theater across the street and there are beaches and parks nearby. Very close to the sponge docks too. It is also a short drive from the airport and Busch Gardens. The hotel and grounds were very clean and pretty since it sits on a canal. There is a restaurant on site, which we did not eat at, but other family that stayed there said the food was very good. I would like to recognize Allison at the front desk for being helpful at checkout and assisting us with purchasing a day pass for Busch Gardens. It was also a bit cheaper to buy through the hotel and convenient to not have to stand in line at the park. Allison was a sweetheart! All in all I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Visit”
Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. Beautiful view from the balcony. Could not have found a better place. Love all the facilities. We will stay here on our next trip there.

Room was large enough with storage for clothes etc. Had a large balcony with a view of docks/marina from private condos. Room also had fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Was great for our purposes.

Very nice views of the canal. Spacious room Only wish the continental breakfast was American though for the room rate i can’t complain! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Location is not the best for restaurants or shops but it has very relaxing views. This was our second stay and there will be a next one in the future.

I chose this hotel based on location, amenities, and cost. Online pictures do show the nice views from the back and not the front. Overall, this hotel is nice, clean, and the staff is friendly. There were some downsides. The hotel is directly adjacent to very busy and noisy US-19. You will experience traffic noise all day and night. Other guests played loud music until very late at night. The relative location of the property to other areas of Tarpon Springs and St.Petersburg, along with the price is why I still would recommend Vista Inn.

Friendly staff and clean room”
Busy location on US 19. Pictures shown on website are from a while ago and restaurant hasn't been in business for a long time. Outside grounds need cleaning, trash outside in yard. Clean room that is larger than most standard motels. Helpful staff that are very friendly.

I was a little confused when asked if I'd like to get a room with a view for an additional $30.00 when I thought all rooms had a view. Then later discovered they charged $40.00. Also, Continental breakfast was scare and coffee pot empty. Other than that it was nice.

Elevator is always out of order”
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and was extremely satisfied however last week I was there for 3 days and they put me on the 4th floor and didn't mention the elevator was out of order. I have a medical condition that this was a huge issue. Unfortunately that will be the last time I stay there. When I brought it to their attention they weren't the least bit apologetic.

If you Like Allergies & Insects This Place is Great”
The location is good and the staff is nice, however here are some other observations. 1. Active wasp nests all over the balcony area and lots of ants. Our room was on the 4th floor and still lots of ants. 2. I dont have heavy allergies, nor does my wife, but wow... something in the room gave us both major allergy attacks. When we left the symptoms would subside. 3. The cheapest possible hotel fixtures and very outdated rooms - we stayed in the two room suite and although it was one of their better rooms, it still was old and outdated. 4. Small bathroom with not much room to move around. 5. Old frayed carpets. 6. One of the balcony doors was off its track and could not be opened. The other balcony had two AC units droning, so when you sat outside on the balcony you have to yell for the other person to hear you. Not very relaxing... 7. They charge for late check out... Haven't seen this practice with most other US based hotel chains. Very frustrating as we were working on remodeling a house until 2AM+ and that extra hour or two would have been nice... Poor customer experience. 8. They ran out of coffee! Went to the front desk and they said they had no more coffee. They never tried to get coffee from the housecleaning stock, just denied the request. 9. Staff to not wear any kind of uniforms or professional attire. Not a stickler, but its not professional and detracts from the service quality standards that the competition offers. 10. Old paint, loose wires, old camera systems throughout, letters falling off the walls in some places. 11. LOTS OF ROAD NOISE in the room. We had a suite with two doors on the 4th floor facing the main road. You can see GAPS around 3 or even 4 sides of each door. Crazy noise level. Stay away from this place... You can spend less money at a cheap motel and actually get what you pay for.

Bad front desk experience”
Asked for help resolving a credit card dispute. Was told you’re on your own, good luck. Thankfully I booked using Amex so I just told them the problem and it went away. Staff is useless
