Quiet pleasant”
nice pool, quiet and rustic
We were family who live in Chiang Mai most of the time so we only slept here. It is a little out of the way and it would be difficult without your own transportation. It was quiet and pleasant.

Quiet and relaxing”
Quiet, relaxing and nice pool
Great short stay. A little out of the way and it is best to have your own transportation here. We enjoyed the pool. The accommodations were good considering the price.

Oasis of peace just outside Chiang Mai”
Location, quiet, 2 swimming pools
This is a great place. It is about 15 minutes from Chiang Mai (heavily depending traffic of course). Nice garden, quiet and 2 swimming pools. Downside is that they do not have a proper cleaning system in place. They do not want to use cholorine which I fully support but there is no other system in place besides regular cleaning of leaves etc. this makes the pools a little slimey and slippery for young children. Nice and very attentive staff.

Nice staff but poorly maintained. ”
Nice staff
This hotel had obviously been stunning at one time but it had been clearly neglected. The two pools were dirty and we didn't want to swim in them. The grass needed cutting and the garden was overgrown. There were no coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The hot water in shower was inconsistent. There is no onside eating facilities / restaurant and its too far from town. There are some good places to eat close by but you do need to have a car. Staff is very smiley and very helpful. Though he wasn't there in the afternoon when we arrived when we returned late that night he was on hand to handle our requests of extra pillows. Super helpful and wanted to please but felt like he had overlooked his main job of ensuring the place was maintained. We left early in the morning eager to push on to a new hotel.

Not what we were looking for”
Smiley, the caretaker was very nice
I am surprised that Vivacity has four stars. It wasn't what I expect from a four star. It seems like a high end backpacker hotel. We had two deluxe bungalows. The hot water was hard to regulate and the floor in one of the showers felt like you we're going to fall through at any time. One of the pools was not working. There is no telephone service in case you do not have a cellular that can make local calls -- which didn't make me feel comfortable traveling with kids. There were other guests that were enjoying Vivacity, but it just wasn't our cup of tea.

Mr. Smiley makes this hotel awesome!”
Mr. Smiley - the manager
Love the resort cats. The pool is nice and our kids sort of had the run of the place. It's just a few minutes from the city. Everything in Chiang Mai is unless you go up to the mountain areas where the zip lining and elephants are - this place is in a tiny suburb area and quiet and feels more like a home stay with about 10 villas on the property. It is not luxurious but it is lad back and enjoyable. They leave out toast and cereal for breakfast but you can order eggs and such if you like. We loved staying in the bungalows. We were two families with children and had 4 bungalows.

Great place to relax”
beautiful grounds and pools
A little too far from the old city for convenience, but a great place to stay if you want to spend time lounging by the pool(s).

A Charming Peaceful Little Paradise”
Peaceful - Pretty- Relaxing- 2SwimmingPools
vivacity home is without a doubt one of the most loveliest places i have stayed. the bungalows vary in size accomodating even families! 2 x fresh water swimming pools filtered, therefore always clean(no ghastly chemicals). you feel as if you are in the middle of an oasis due to the peace & quiet. the staff are extremely obliging and if anything needed or required one merely has to ask. this small complex works on a trust basis, you can use the bicycle free of charge as well as help yourself to tea/coffee etc and write in a book,to pay when leaving. should food etc be required, place an order for when needed. i looked at all of the accommodation on offer and was most impressed, clean, modern with thai style. i would definately return here again.
