It was at a very convenient location and had everything you needed.

Extreamly valuable place to stay!”
Open your mind, just be nice with know how is reasonable,I'm Thai and i know well which can say good or not good place to stay,I saw many complain reviews on website of vongdeun village or you can call tom pizza resort, Please don't believe it cuz can happen with non positive thinking anyway.I can say with my extremely sincere here is the best and highest valuable place to stay in this area(vongdeun beach)if compare with the price here offer the best price where you can not find with reasonable room 1 mins walk to beach front, room is clean enough to stay, huge room,no bug,no mosquito, bed and blanket clean and good smell, all staff are friendly cuz they always keep eyes on you to respond your request right away,I saw the staff work till 11 pm.or might late than that when i woke up at 6 am i almost see them preparing the place for breakfast again, Its beautiful they do good job, if you expect extremely service from staff just go to 5-6 stars hotel and pay for that reason no need complain them they are good enough, room price depend on season,if you pay for room about 1,000 Thb that just don't mind the room have no tv,refrigerator cuz its clean and nice room enough,if you need tv, refrigerator just pay more 500 Thb to get it,if you need to stay palace you just not choose to stay here, you need to go Hilton.Even you pay very cheap to the room you also get free breakfast for 2 pax per room,This is the good thing as well, It need to understand how business can run to get profit with very low price and your hight expectation just be nice and reasonable to respect with what and how much you pay for...I feel happy to stay Vongdeun resort cuz i feel i get the extremely nice place to stay with very cheap and valuable price that i never find out in vongdeun beach before, i will come back here again and of cause I proud to recommend this place to my Thai friends and other countries friends too.
New bungalows very good value and clean.”
We stayed in one of the new bungalows, it was very clean with a spacious shower room and catered for all your basic needs; hot water, fridge and air conditioning. The gardens were lovely and the beach bar and restaurant very welcoming. Tom Pizza is a family run hotel and they are all very hard working and will always try to accommodate any request. All round very good value for money. The bus from Bangkok is £5 return and causes no pain, air conditioned with refreshments - a great cheap way to get to Ban Phe where you can catch a ferry straight to the island.
Tomtastic Place to stay”
I've stayed in quite a few places on Samet but Tom Resort for the money you pay is great. Staff helpful, bungalows clean and tidy and nice place to chill out. If you want a palace go to the Hilton,if you want good value for money go Toms Resort.simples
Comfortable hotel in a great location”
Tom's Pizza is one of 4 main resorts at the beach, Au Wongdeuan . Although the second largest beach on Samet, Au Wongdeuan is till quite intimate and cosy with the advantage of having a few choices for dining or drinking. Tom's Pizza is one of the best places for dining, being very popular with guests and other visitors alike. The food is quite good and very affordable, possibly one of the cheapest on the island for their nightly BBQ.
Great Stay For Price Paid - Happy”
Agoda reviews, photos, and ratings are accurate in my opinion. We reserved the room in advance, with a discount advertised on Agoda. There's a ferry boat and also speed boats from Vong Duean Beach to one of the Ban Phe piers. We took the ferry for only 70 baht per person one-way. Contact the resort front desk or the Tom Pizza office in a multi-story reddish/tomato/pizza-colored building located on the mainland in Ban Phe for details. There are many resorts on this beach. Some are nicer and cost more. Yes, there were a few mosquitoes, like there are in many tropical or subtropical areas I've visited. I wish there was a shower curtain in the bathroom, to separate the shower from the toilet and sink. The double bed is a true double, not a queen or king, and one side was against the wall. There was a large dish of fresh water at our superior room entrance, to wash sand off our feet before entering the room. There are many restaurant/bar tables and chairs on the beach in front of the resort, but no reclining lounge chairs or beach chairs, except for a few cushioned mats with a table. For reclining beach chairs, you can visit one of the other resorts and purchase a drink or food while using their chairs. I wish this resort had some reclining lounge or beach chairs under the trees or under umbrellas. The superior and deluxe rooms are closer to the beach. The standard rooms are next to the road. Agoda photo 17 shows a resort map, showing the location of standard, superior and deluxe rooms. Yes, rooms are small. We were happy considering the beach-side location and lower cost, when compared to other resorts on Agoda. We stayed on a Sunday night and the resort and beach were not full or crowded. Friday/Saturday/Holiday nights are probably much busier, loud, and crowded.
Tom"s Pizza is an average resort in one of the best places on Samed. It is affordable and comfortable.
Great location and nice staff, but the rooms are just for sleeping”
The location of Tom's pizza is gorgeous, it's right by the beach (not exactly on the beach, but it's only a minutes walk away). The beach is perfect for families or couples, as it's quite quiet and has good restaurants. We got the cheapest room on offer, which was ok. It's just a bed and a bathroom. The cleanliness of the room was a little questionable, we had a lots of ants in our room and the covers had some stains. There is an outside bit to each room, but there were so many mosquitos that we didn't use it. Mostly we were only in the room to sleep as we stayed out all day, which was fine by us! There are obviously some nicer rooms at the resort, but I guess you'd have to pay more. I would recommend Tom's pizza, if you're looking for somewhere cheap-ish with a good location, but it's not the kind of place where you would "hang out at the hotel"
Tom Pizza Resort”
The setup of this bungalow resort and its restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately, very low mainenance of the premises made our stay less pleasant than it could have been. Our bungalow "welcomed" us with dirty bedsheets, an awfully smelly sofa bed and a leaking sink (although new and stylish model). The bedsheet issue was solved after our complaint to the front desk, the other deficiencies remained unchanged. Only the direct intervention of my girlfriend towards the cleaning personnel led to an eventual exchange of the smelly sofa. After the dirty bedsheets had been changed to new ones, we just received one more time water and new towels, for the rest of our 4-days-stay no cleaning at all. But there definitely have been also positive aspects: The bungalows have a nice setup and spacious bathrooms. The garden could be very nice if better maintained, so it is just nice. As the bungalows are behind the restaurant, the area is quiet. A table at the part of the restaurant under the shady tree easily can be used as a base for a day at the beach. Although the quality of Tom restaurant generally is average and a bit overpriced, there is one exception: If you go for the evening BBQ, you will get delicious plates at a very reasonable price.
Not bad, but severely overpriced”
Off to a bad start when they tried to charge us an extra THB 500 per night for a tiny 2kg dog. We'd already paid an extortionate rate (was a national holiday weekend) for what we got, to add an extra THB 500 per night for such a small animal was saddening to us. OK, it says charges may apply, but its plainly just a scam. I wish Agoda would do something about that section of the website - simply "saying pets allowed, extra charges may apply" is nonsense - it gives the hotel the right to completely rip you off upon arrival. So, my advice is to call ahead BEFORE you book and see how much extra they will try to rip you off for when you arrive to check-in. Eventually they accepted THB 300 per night because he is so small...how nice of them. Still, sours the experience for them to break that news of 500 per night in the opening interaction. Otherwise the hotel was OK but not worth the rates they demand. You really are just paying for location so if you don't like Ao Wongduan you won't like the hotel. Room was average, just clean enough and the air-con (although ancient) did eventually do the job after taking some time to wake up. Staff were ok. Restaurant on the beach was ok. Typical 2-star hotel really, but with 4-star prices.
Not a bad resort”
As a couple travelling with 2 small dogs, the room that we stayed in at was very basic. Not bad, it had all the basic amenities for a pet friendly room however, it was a tad too small. Can't really exactly chill or relax inside the room. The room was quite old also with old furniture. The restaurant however (tom pizza) was delicious and seated right on the beach - offered plenty of good views. Cons - Bad WIFI signal No mosquito nets Old rooms Too many foreign customers meaning no privacy at all at the resort. Not recommended for the high end tourist, probably better for budget travellers.
Very nice Hotel on Samet, good Value!”
I can just recommend this place, everyone will like it, they have very nice Bungalows and it is a beautiful garden. The resturant is top! amazing thai food! on the beach, beautiful at night. With the motorbike it takes around 10 minutes to go into the samet night life for everyone who wants to party. Mostly locals are here on the weekends and i would say it is one of my favorite islands in Thailand!
Nice resort, close to beach, good food.”
A quite nice resort with a great location on the beach. The bungalows are behind the restaurant, and not on directly on the beach, but close enough. Nice rooms, nothing special, but you're not on Samet to dwelve in your room. American breakfast included. Restaurant staff friendly, but a not very observant to anyone needing service.
Great and friendly beach hotel”
Great stay at this beach hotel. Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Best location as it was right in the middle of the beach on the second most popular beach on koh samet. Beautiful beach and just a lovely place to stay.
Pleasant stay ”
The room was very basic for the price we paid for, but I think that's Samet in general. It was at a very convenient location and had everything you needed. Could do with a better and harder bed, it was very springy and soft. People were friendly.
Nice hotel at nice location”
We had a cottage with the garden view, veranda with two chairs and table. Quite nice to drink morning coffee there or have a cocktail during the daytime heat (it's possible to order food and beverages straight into your room). Beach with all it's restaurants is in one minute lazy walk from your door. It's not an all-night-party place — most of bars and restaurants working 'till midnight only. But if your main aim is to relax and forget life of big cities - You'll surely like it.
the biggest rip off of my life”
the price this guesthouse charge for a night is as wrong as the fact that they call itself as a resort. looking at the feel pictures that they made available in the website you may think it is ok, but when you are there you will find yourself in a guesthouse where i would only stay again paying less and with less expectations than what a guesthouse has to offer. there is no breakfast included and when you decide to pay for a “american continental” you will get 1 small juice, 2 toasts, 1 small coffee, 1 little butter and 1 little jam. god forbid you ask for one more coffee!!! and they call it a resort rip off. saturday, 7h30 in the morning they broom the outside walkway, so you wake up with that terrible noise that never goes away… 7h30 in the morning?!?!?!?! the shower has no curtains or blindex around it. the bedding was a little smelly. there is no telephone in the room, so no service as well. there is no safety box and they make sure they are not responsible for anything in the room… another rip off. right now they are having a construction in the hotel, so if after everything i wrote you still decide to stay there, make sure you get a room away from the construction… not to mention that this beach was a little dirty due to this construction (they bring everything by boat)… ko samet is a rip off itself, but this hotel was the biggest one i have ever seen. besides all of that, the people in the restaurant was nice and the food was safe and good. i would come back for dinner, but would never stay there again.
In a nice area on the island. Staff was great. Only Thai TV. Wifi was hit or miss. Room was ok for the price. Restaurant was good. Nice beach are.
Nice setup but low maintenance”
The setup of this bungalow resort and its restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately, very low mainenance of the premises made our stay less pleasant than it could have been. Great location ”
Great location. Mediocre room, but if planning to spend most time at the beach not too nad
DO NOT STAY HERE ”
The mattress had collapsed on one side so there was a hole That we fell down if you moved in the bed so on the second night we turned ourselves 90 degrees on the bed so that it was just our feet that were in the hole Toilet seat fell off every time you sat on it No spoon in the room for coffee Only one cup in the room that was booked for two people 1 glass in the room Air con takes two hours to chill the room Lamp in the room next to the bed but no where to plug it in WiFi connected good but drops you out after every ten minutes Dirty room with an even dirtier bathroom the shower head leaked badly and had brown mould on the rose where the water came out The rooms are either side of a footpath that seems to be used by most of the people on the island and there motorbikes and even a delivery truck at all times of the day and night We stayed at the C Samet before and it was so quiet. So clean we wished we stayed there again but Toms was booked for us The breakfast bu
