helpful staff, super stylish hotel, good resturant but no more parking”
I would like to say "Thank you" the staff very lovely and helpful when I arrival until check out. I stay only one night but everything perfect and the price is reasonable. This hotel have restaurant in front of the hotel and location in Nimman street so very comfortable. One problem is don't have parking, was it's street parking. 这个酒店很安静，然后位置好，住在宁曼海敏路所以更方便有很多饭馆和咖啡店在酒店的前面也有饭馆。“整体很好”
Great gem in the Nimman district”
I must say I was a bit worried after booking due to the relatively low price for the stay but my worries were immediately erased after arriving. Neighbourhood: the hotel is situated from a 5 minute walk off Nimman Road in a quiet residential area. I would say its close enough to the action/traffic but far enough to the noise level. If you walk to opposite way from Nimman Road for 10-15 minutes, there are other hotels and convenience store. It is a block and a half away from some bars which offer entertainment and drinks at night or The Ring, which is a restaurant with an open area for live performances. Rooms: Brightly light and lightly decorated, hot and powerful shower, comfortable and large bed with a balcony and flat screen TV. For the price we paid, I couldn't ask for more. Service: very attentive and personal. The first night we arrived, we called the reception asking for hot water, the next day when we returned to our room (without us asking) it was equipped with our own electric kettle. Staff was friendly and those at the front desk were able to communicate in English. Food: Breakfast was made to order with a choice of 6 varieties. The hotel has their own Italian restaurant equipped with woodstove for pizzas. The food was authentic and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxing and perfect for gathering after a long day of fun. Downside: for those who are super sound sleepers, this area may not be the right one for you. Despite reading previous reviews that planes only pass by above at certain times, I noticed it passing by early morning and late into the night although infrequently (about 1 flight an hour). There was also a stench which I've come across in other reviews and it was evident in the hallways of the top floor where I stayed but not inside the room. I believe it might be a drain issue which is not easy to remedy but since it was outside the room and in the short elevator ride, I can easily let it pass.
A really lovely hotel”
This is a really lovely hotel where the owners have obviously made a huge effort to provide high class accommodation and dining in a beautifully designed environment. The hotel is brand new. Its 5 minutes walk from Nimmanhaemin Road's attractions like Warm Up Cafe, shops, restaurants etc., and only 3 minutes walk from the ever-popular Drunken Flower bar. The only small problem was that the hot water was a bit up and down. One minute hot, the next minute cool. We managed, after a bit of juggling with the controls. Being so new I guess some small problems are to be expected, and hopefully they will get it sorted out quickly. We'd definitely stay there again.
Comfortable stay ”
Vulcano Hotel is a newly built hotel with nicely designed and equipped rooms. Due to the assistance of friendly and attentive staff of Vulcano Hotel, we were able to get a free upgrade to the Vulcano Suite. They also allowed us to change our room for free due to a lingering stench that was persistent in our first room. There are many kinks that need to be worked out in this new hotel, but with the presence of the very helpful staff, our stay has proven to be more than enjoyable. The rooms are big, well-equipped, very nicely designed, and the toilets more than wonderful. Location slightly far from central area of Nimmanhemin, but the walk to and from the hotel to the central area was more than enjoyable with the availability of many restaurants, pubs, and cafes. Thank you very much to the staff of Vulcano Hotel Chiang Mai. You have made our stay very enjoyable.
My favourite hotel😍”
1. The room is big, comfortable and very clean. Bed is sooo soft and Toilet is sooo good. 2. Staff are so polite, lovely, kind and very helpful. I love this hotel❤❤
Value for money but heater problem”
This hotel is value for money and moderate location. Its at Soi 17 so need further walk to central of Nimman. Heater is the main problem as cannot control the temperature , too hot or total no hot water. No swimming pool or any common area. If you just look for a comfortable room to stay with budget, this is a satisfactory choice
Very ice staff and service”
The hotel in the good area but you have to walk a bit far from the main street but that not the big point. Staff here so kind and friendly. Room is good condition and space. everything is good. But if you drive, the parking is the big problem here with the parking space.
Booking Vulcano I was worried about all the negative reviews but once we got there and stayed for 5 days we really wish we stayed there the whole entire trip we were in Thailand. The place was pretty, the staff were so nice and helpful and the location was a huge part of why we loved being there. It was walking distance to all these local cafes, spas and restaurants and just minutes to downtown. I definitely will stay here again!
Town area hotel”
The stay was nice. location is near to town, and near to airport. it only take 15 minutes to reach the airport, so for traveler who wanted to go to airport on the next day, it is good to stay in this area.
Worth money to stay, feeling like home”
Very nice sevice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is near everywhare to go especially close to the airport(only 10mins). Clean and comfortable room. Limited space of parking car but can find in the near street. Wifi available. The location can walk to Nimmanahaemin street area. I will stay here again if go to Chiang Mai, this hotel deserves 3-star level.
Nice place to relax in a good location”
Pretty good place for the price. I think this is a great place to stay if you want someplace relaxed and close to a number of restaurants. I also enjoyed how close it was to the park by the university (for some jogging). There were some areas that could be improved, notably in the bathroom- consistency in water temperature, redoing the walls (I think someone changed their mind in terms of glass windows to the shower), etc. Small improvements like that would definitely build the ambiance.
Great hotel. One exeption: against my principles i took breakfast in the hotel and was reminded why i usually pass on it: the food in the streets is too good to waste any stomachroom on american breakfast, witch is not a thaispeciality.... staff is friendly and always ready to assist
Nice hotel in a quite zone of Nimman road”
I booked a junior suite room with expectation that I would get a bigger room and nicer interior. However, once I entered the room, i needed to call an operator to confirm that they put me in the right room type. No moroccan feeling interiorin the room (as described in a hotel description), and, the room is quite small even I got a cornor room. The door lock was too hard to close and open. A door for connecting room didnt close properly so I could hear a thing from the next room (wall wasnt too thin but door was a problem). No kettle in the room. Apart from these, everything was fine. Staffs were very friendly. Room was very clean. Sexy toilet with curtain cover outside. Good bed, nice sleep.
A quiet hotel”
I was attracted by the front picture of the hotel, imaginde a hotel with a great garden.. but actual hotel is a lot smaller than I thought, especially lobby is very narrow, not to mention any garden We are staying at Junior suite at forth floor, the design is modern and furniture and fittings are still new. Bath tub is super big! Size of living area is just nice but bedroom is very narrow, you have to walk like crab to get on bed. The glass door of shower room is out of alignment, we have to pull really hard to get in for shower and worry for the glass door to fall anytime, quite scary. It's late in the night time, therefore we didn't call for hotel staff to assist us. I don't quite like the breakfast. It's almost the same for all choices except the cooking method of eggs. My sunny side is burnt at edge, things can go wrong for sunny side up too. There are some other choices like pasta or porridge, just not appetizing for me. Iberry is just 2 doors away from this hotel, a very sweet cafe with cute statue everywhere, too late to discover it after we check out. Overall, I don't feel homely in this hotel, narrow and irritated by the bathroom door.
I've been there for only 3 days and i have a great experiences visit. It's close to walking street. I walked everyday from the hotel to walking street. Also, I'd recommended for Kao Pad(thai food) at the restaurant downstairs. over all it's nice place to stay and reasonable prices.
Overall great stay”
Stay was good, the room was very nicely designed and the bathroom was nice. No odor for us, it actually smelled great. The staff was friendly. The only bad thing was that the pizza I ordered from the restaurant wasn't delivered to the room like the person who took my order said it would be. So 45 min later I went down to check and got a cold pizza. But not like that ruined our stay or anything. Overall good..
Awesome Clean Boutique Hotel”
Really well located hotel, which was exactly what we were looking for as a couple (close to the city, yet a very quiet area away from all the backpackers and the hustle and bustle of the city centre). It was only a few minutes via tuk tuk to all the places we wanted to go and a short walk to good shops, restaurants, and massage places. We actually decided to try another hotel in the area which was also highly rated however, after comparing the service and cleanliness of that hotel compared to Vulcano, Vulcano hands down was way better. If you're visiting in Chiang Mai, stay in this hotel and you won't be disappointed!!
Over priced of what it is”
The room designs was just trying too hard. It was like a service apartment. Once open the door, there was the kitchen that still has the smell of food, the bathroom had no doors, the air con was right in from of the Bathtub, the shower was sprayed to the swing doors which leaked the water into the room (which mentioned that the Bathroom had no doors) where the bed is. This is just an over priced for it's quality. It is not bad if it was a $50 hotel, but for what they are charging it is over priced of it's quality.
disappointing small room”
disappointed because very small hotel & room also smaller than expected. Clean & tidy. Dining room not very interesting. In Nimman area but there are many other hotels in the price range that offers more value for money.
The hotel is absolutely amazing starting from the design up to food served in the restaurant by an extremely talented chef! We loved the Moroccan style of the interior and exterior of the hotel and beautiful details and materials in the room. But the most outstanding thing in this hotel is its restaurant where the food and wine (and Belgian beer) are incredibly delicious and served so nicely and with a twist. Once we are in Chiang Mai again we'll definitely stay in this hotel or at least visit this fantastic restaurant!
