Excellent value”
The place is very good rooms/bungalows for the money with an supreme location at the very quiet beach Vung Bau. It as many sunchairs and swing at the beach. The rooms are very clean and tidy, so is the restaurant. But the tables and chairs at the beach is often a bit dirty and so is the play area for children. The staff is very kind, but only few speak a little english. The staff is mainly young boys which is fine. They are always helpful but very inexperienced :) I would highly recommend the staff to practice english through a language app, such s duolingo, when they aren't busy. Also they should clean the children playroom more often.

This resort is very cozy and has a really nice beach. Not overcrowded and also the beach is very clean compared to the other wild beaches on this island. Also you have the opportunity to go for a walk on a other beach around the corner. The staff is super friendly, helpful and keen. I step on a sea urchin and they immediately helped me and removed the spike. The food is not that cheap but very good. You have a big choice of breakfast which is included. We can really recommend this place if you want some quiet holidays out of the city.

Amazing location”
Lovely location directly on lovely quiet stretch of beach. Service in restaurant can be very frustrating and slow. Disappointed that no masks / snorkels available to buy, hire or borrow. Nice friendly staff and very quiet location.

My friend and I stay here one night, it seems to be a lowest price compare to other resort. The place is very relaxing, the beach is beautiful. They say the beach most beautiful is from October to December. The staff is nice and helpful. The minus one is it's quite far to city center, but close to VinWonder, Vinsafari, Ganh Dau Beach. You could rent a motobike to travel the place nearby.

Isolated but Good Beach”
Vung Bau Resort, Phú Quốc. OK. The first point here to understand is that it's up in the northwestern part of the island, isolated from any stores, restaurants, or tourist activities if you don’t have a motorbike. This might be either a pro or a con depending on what kind of holiday you’re after. The dusty, bumpy, pot-holed road to the resort reminded me of travelling through the Australian Outback, and I could see our Grab drivers’ jaw muscles get tighter and tighter as the journey proceeded. Vung Bau may as well be on a deserted island. So stop right now and think - if you’re not into “that” kind of holiday then this place isn’t for you. If you want a quiet, simple, relaxing few days on a pristinely beautiful and clean stretch of beach though, you may want to give Vung Bau a go. However, be prepared to leave your expectations and particular culinary preferences at the door. Don’t like the food on the menu? Tough luck, that’s the menu and there are no other restaurants around. Don’t like a particular brand of beer? Tough luck, that might be all they have. Enjoy a decent breakfast to get you going in the morning? Tough luck, breakfast is a small serving of soup noodles, crepe, eggs, or fruit (pick one of the above). I’m laughing right now picturing you trying to customise your eggs or coffee order - it’s just not that kind of place. You get what you get. If you have special dietary/allergy requirements… just don’t even. Restaurant prices are about 50-75% more jacked up than what you’d expect in town and expect items on the menu to be not available (for example, no coconuts, pizza, or yogurt when we were there). The smoothies are standard-priced, thick, and tasty though! The staff are helpful but English levels are quite low which can result in a number of surprises; you just have to shrug, smile, and get on with making your day awesome. So, if you can move past those few challenges (which we could for a few days) then Vung Bau Resort is pretty great. We had a sea vi

Resort needs a huge maintainance and cleanings”
Bathroom is in horibal condition. Pipe hardly work and it was leaking. No shower corner, just a shower pipe. Bathroom was not cleaned. Mirror and sink dirty. Food on menu was not tasty, just average. Road to reach resort was bumpy, no asfalt for about 300m or more. Beach is ok, also personal, but all other need a maintainance. We stayed at beachfront room.

Amazing experience at Vung Bau Resort”
The staff is amazing, they are really passionate with their jobs. They really understand what people are searching when retreating at Vung Bau, calm, relaxing. They provide good tips regarding where to go on the island. They invited us to join farewell party of an employee leaving the island after service hours, that was really nice local experience. Vung Bau is amazing. This is also one of the rare clean beach in phu quoc island. You should definitely choose this one.

Literally, one of the best resorts on the island when it comes to the balance of price and quality! ”
Highly recommend Vung Bau Resort for those who want total relaxation and is not chasing stars. This place has this relaxed, chilling out, "no problem" aura, which is solo worth a 10-hour flight! So, why choose it: - splendid calm atmosphere, - the best beach on the island (I really mean it, the best - we saw a lot and can compare), - calm, clean and warm sea with no jellyfish or anything like that, ideal for swimming, good for those with kids (perfect sea entrance) - free sunbeds, umbrellas and kayaks - nice rooms, most of them 50 steps away from the sea - cheap bike rental (about $9 per day) - pretty good restaurant with reasonable prices. No need to take money with you - all expenses are on your room and payable at the checkout - friendly and very helpful staff! What you should be ready for : - Vung Bau is not a 5-star place, which is clear from the price - so, rooms are clean but quite basic. Here you get what you pay for. - really far from the touristic buzz, no massage

relaxing beach, good food and cheap price”
We were here with my husband on our second stay in Phu Quoc. Also four of our friends joined us for 5 nights in the same resort. If you want peace and serenity in Phu Quoc - go here! The resort is new but it has everything you need: amazing beach, cheap rooms and nice atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and you'll feel welcome. They are still building some cottages, but the noise didn't disturb us although we had hungover in couple of mornings. Location is very far (45 minutes from the city) but if you want a beatiful beach cottage with peace that's the price you need to pay in Phu Quoc. I would recommed everyone going to Phu Quoc spend half of your vacation either here (budjet friendly) or at the next resort (Bamboo Cottages - more expensive, but very nice, By the way: go here atleast for a lunch!). And a few nights in Duong Dong.

Beautiful beach, friendly staff, clean”
We loved our stay at Vung Bau Resort. The beach is beautiful, it is far away from the masses of long beach, the food is good and the beach view bungalows are fantastic. Everything was very clean. But most importantly, the vibes are great, the staff seems to have fun, they go swimming every afternoon and always try their best to fulfill their guests' wishes - although they do this in a very "Vietnamese" way, with most of them not speaking too much English and being a little clumsy - but all the more charming. Definitely recommended.

The perfect hotel at the perfect beach”
We enjoyed our stay at the Vung Bau Resort so much! Everything was perfect! The manager and all the staff made us feel as being part of a big family! We had a huge, beautiful room with sea view! The beach is very quiet. The water is crystal, clear and very warm. The restaurant is great! I wish we could have stayed longer than 10 days! Thank you everyone for letting us have the most fantastic time!!!

A great deal of unrealized potential.”
The hotel is on a beautiful beach, a long way from the resort hustle and bustle of tourist Phu Quoc. If you are after long, long beaches to walk on and glorious seclusion, this should be your choice. The staff is great. Miss Thao and Mr. Nuon's efforts were notable and their terrific attitude is an example many, many Vietnamese hospitality workers should follow. Very high marks for location and staff. That being said, there is no internet and, as in most of the few resorts at this end of the island, electricity is generated intermittently. Neither is a big deal. The drinks were always cold and the food fresh. 3G works fine. But - The gardens and would benefit from some attention, beginning with having the litter picked up. Sadly, not a lot of attention is being given to appearances throughout the property. There is no air conditioning and the ceiling fans are not up to the task. One must carry the cushions from the loungers on one's veranda down to the beach and back. For twenty five dollars a night this sort of thing wouldn't matter, for the thirty eight we paid, it does. With a little work on the grounds and a little more attention to detail by the owners, Vung Bao Resort would be excellent, instead of adequate.

One of the best and cheapest beach resort in Phu ”
Very good location on the beach in Phu Quoc if you want to relax , you can go for snorkelling over amazing corals on a close by island . It is far from the town , you can rent a motorbike but we preferred walking on kilometres of empty beaches. Food is excellent which is good since there is no other restaurants around. Staff is very nice helpful some are speaking English , the others are their best . Bungalows are simple but clean . Rooms are serviced every day. Free shuttle if you stay at least 5 nights which we did.

Little Paradies to calm down”
Very nice contrast to the long beach area. The people are super friendly and the beach just had some more visitors. We did a kayak tour by ourselves to the little finger nail island. The next day we went by boat to the 40 minutes fare turtle island. Take good snorkel and diving mask with you. The people in the resort were really nice and friendly...

A great and relaxing way to end a vacation.”
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Vung Bau. The location is great and very remote. Due to this, you're not close to the city at all (which is a small disadvantage since the only place to eat is the hotel's restaurant), but on the other hand it was quiet and not very touristic (great beach). Sometimes the wifi connection broke down, but I guess you have to appreciate the effort of the staff that they have internet access in that remote location. One evening the staff asked everyone to join them hunting crabs, which was a lot of fun :)
