“Hostel with rooftop pool. Because it's W. ””

Arrived almost midnight on a fine Saturday evening. Flight from Cebu city landed in Kalibo. Took the van transfer at PHP200 (about USD4 and you can pay at the van directly) per person and the trip from Kalibo to Caticlan lasted for about 1.5 hours. Catalan is where the port is located. To reach Boracay, you need to take the ferry from Caticlan Port. Van will bring you to the ferry terminal directly. Ferry ticket is PHP100 (about USD2) per adult for a normal ferry. On top of this, you need pay an environmental fee of PHP75 (about USD1.50) per person as well as a terminal fee of PHP100 (about USD2) per person. The ferry was fast and took about 5 minutes. Upon reaching the island, there are tricycles (3 wheeled public transportation) for about PHP60 - PHP150 (about USD1 - USD5) per vehicle per trip. Rates will vary as it depends on the way you negotiate with the driver. W Hostel was like about 5 minutes away from where the ferry docks. There is a sign outside hence you can't miss the hostel. The hostel looks new and so are the facilities. Reception guys are so friendly. They will provide free small towel, free lock and free wifi. Wifi is kinda fast. They also have simple breakfast of toasted bread but they will cook eggs for you, which was nice.... I had an 8-bed dorm which was quite nice. AC was working well as well the ceiling fan. Each bed had a curtain so there is some sort of a privacy. There is a reading light in each bed as well. There is also a charging port in every bed. Being in the Philippines, they have a US type of sockets. The dorm looks modern and new. They have hot and cold shower!!! They recently opened the roof top which is a cool place to hang around and .... there is a swimming pool in there!

Affordable Accommodation in Boracay”

W Hostel is an affordable accommodation in Boracay. We stayed in an 8-bed room with private CR. The basic facilities in the room was provided like own electric outlet per bed with lamp and a small towel. The hostel is relatively new so the facilities as are in good working condition. there is a centralized hot and cold shower in our private CR and there are common CR for males and females on each floor with 3 cubicles each for bath and comfort. Hair blowers were also provided. Complimentary breakfast is included in the rate... We stayed there for 6 days so we ate arrozcaldo, bananas, pineapple, loaf bread with strawberry jam and peanut butter--- I just wish they had a variety of food for breakfast--- so that people who stay longer in the hostel will not have the same breakfast everyday ;-) Overall, W Hostel is a nice place where to stay whether you are travelling alone or in group.

Cool artwork, clean rooms and awesome roof deck with bar and pool sums up this hostel for me”

Here’s my review of W Hostel Boracay: Cool artwork, clean rooms and awesome roof deck with bar and pool sums up this hostel for me. The other things that I liked would be: location was near D Mall so easy to access as it was in the middle of it all; all dorms have AC and fan, free wifi, their own bathrooms which are clean and well maintained; each floor has shared bathrooms as well, complete with hot water & hair dryers; bunk beds have pin lights and sockets to use; hangers were available as well as colorful chairs and tables inside the dorm; nice common area (no picture as I didn’t get a chance to hangout there) and very accommodating service (I had a lot of requests 😁). Cons would be: I didn’t like the interior of the rooms at it felt too dark and creepy. The bunk beds were made of cement which made you feel like you are inside a grave. The rooms felt like it was too dark, as there not enough lights inside the dorm or bathroom. There were no floor length mirrors in the bathrooms and there was no door lock in the bathroom of our dorm. You have to bring your own towel. I didn’t like that the lockers were below the bunk beds. It was very hard to organize my things so I just locked up my valuables and then placed the rest on my bed. I would say that this was still a good deal for the price of P2300 total for 3 days and 2 nights during peak season in Boracay #whostel #whostelboracay #boracayhostel #boracaybackpackers #trickart #solotravel #solotraveler #hostels #hostelsph #hostelsphilippines #boracay #boracay2018 #summer #summer2018 #practicaltraveler #travel #travelph #traveler #backpack #backpacker #savvytraveler

For the 2nd Time - What you get is MORE than what you Pay!”

I was here last June 2016, and stayed for 4D3N. I was travelling alone that time. I stayed in a room with 8-beds and my roomates (from Austria and SoKor) were too friendly, we even became friends to Facebook and talk/chat a lot until now. This month (July2017), I travelled with my Sister as my Bday gift to her. We stayed for 3D2N and to my Surprise, they already have POOL at the rooftop. Staying at WHostel is one of the best choice you could have when to travel to One Of the Best Island in the World, Boracay. Why? Simple, because you don't travel to Boracay to find a 5-Star Hotels, you travel to Boracay to witness and experience and Super FINE (or powdered) white-sand beaches. This Hostel provide FREE Breakfast. They have Pool PARTY & FREE FOODS every Wednesday and Sunday nights too! FreeFoods for all of the guests. The Host (KoreanLady, I'm not sure if she's the owner)was so nice. When she saw us at the Lobby, she invited us to go up stairs and eat.

Everything was on-point”

W Hostel is one of the best place I've stayed in. During my 4 nights stay, there were 2 hostel parties allowing us to eat, drink and party for free while knowing people from all walks of life. The owners of the hostel are Koreans and extremely hospitable. The compound was clean and showerheads were strong. There is even an egg station with a staff serving up fresh omelettes in the morning. Overall a great stay, would definitely be back again if I revisit Boracay.

Warm stay at Boracay”

Nice breakfast, comfortable bed and pillow, the wall light had some problem, maintenance is needed. short distance to bulabog and station 2, good location. there is a local food stall just beside it, the dishes are cheap, it costed me and 1~2usd per meal. besides, the most famous pizza stall in boracay are just right opposite this hostel, the beer there is cheaper than convenient shop. and they do provide free party every Wednesday, to make friend and fun! However, due to some unexpected problem (told by the staff) during my stay (wed) the party force to cancel.

Exceptional”

W Hostel is a great place to stay. It's location is near enough to go to the beaches and far enough from the hustle and bustle that can be brought upon by parties. The place is cleaned regularly. The staff are accommodating enough. They also have their rooftop. Only con (but not much of a big deal for me) was I didn't see any of the free breakfast that I've read about here. Overall though, W Hostel is a place that I'll recommend to my friends who are planning to visit the island and are looking for an affordable accommodation.

This is the best place to get a budget trip In boracay. We stayed here for 6nights and had a free breakfast. The breakfast was fine but its redundant 1egg, bread and butter, porridge, banana everyday but nonetheless its Very cheap, very accommodating, values the money, free breakfast, you can use the kitchen and cook, the pool was ok, its perfect for pool party, the beds and showers are clean, the staff is nice as well, thanks also to the korean owner who let us use his rice cooker. Haha thank you w hostel! Will be back soon. 👍🏽

I stayed in W Hostel Boracay overnight out of curiosity. I wish I stayed in the hostel earlier because I loved it! Recommended budget option in Boracay ”

Perfect location: 1-min walk to Bulabog beach (where you can go kitesurfing and enjoy amazing sunrise, if weather allows); 5-min walk to White Beach (station 2). Restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby. (D'Mall is like 4-min away) Friendly staff: Staff were attentive and nice. Especially the manager/ owner and his friends were very friendly that they invited me for dinner and soju!! Clean and comfy rooms and common area: I stayed at the 8-bed female dorm for 5 nights. Room was spacious and bed was clean and comfortable. They provide clean towels everyday for free. We had the toilet ourselves and there was warm water. The lockers were big enough to put all the luggage in. There were some interesting wall paintings for pictures too. It's not a party hostel where you can have a good sleep, while close to some partying places if you need to. Free Breakfast: They provide toasts, eggs, chicken congee, fresh fruits and juice in the common dining room. Card games and other games were available too.

Good hostel ”

It's a good hostel for meeting new people. I think the location was very good, 1min from bulabog Beach and less then 10min to white beach. Few cheap restaurants around. Also good terrace. As a tip, not as a complaint, I suggest to place carpets at each room door, so we can clean our shoes before getting into the room. Also when you get out the bathrooms because the floor was wet most of the time. Staff very friendly but I expected more activities on behalf the hostel, as roofparty, beach activities.... Etc... Breakfast is included but you could offer at least 3 different jams.... Every day the same.... Overall experience 8.5!!

Stayed in Boracay for 3weeks and moved from one hotel to another but it seems so sad and quite being alone all the time. So decided to try w hostel for a change the my instincts were right! Finally! A cool place to stay! The style is amazing and there's an artistic touch all over. :) Plus! You'll get more chance to meet friends from different parts of the globe. Party nights during Wednesday and Sundays will make your stay more comfy even if you're alone. Boys bathroom .. clean and cool! blue blue blue!!! 👍 but Hopefully staff will be more attending and approachable and have the initiative to help guests with their bags upon check in and out. 👎

Great location, value for money”

I had a great stay here. The 4 bed female shared room was really comfy, the blind at each bunk bed was a great touch for privacy. Breakfast was basic but good. Location wise is superb. Once you are out of the hostel entrance, to the right is White Beach (5 mins walk) & to the left is Bulabog Beach (2 mins walk - awesome for sunrise!) Staff was pleasant & nice & help me to get a piece of ginger for me to make ginger tea when I get an upset stomach. Recommended place to eat - Smoke Resto & Plato D’Boracay (cheap delicious local place, not overprice) But the most enjoyable moments was when I get to make friends with my hostelmate/roommate.
